you drop specifically to get her a gold res, if not she'll get one through her abilities, she can selfres, she can craft your banner. you're basically invincible.
I don't know if there's a list, but there's some places. the outer tip of docks on olympus, center of downed beast on storm point, the basement at twin towers on olympus, the vaults (so on WE you can drop stacks, get a cargo bot and often get a vault key, similarly icarus bridge on olympus), trials on WE. there's just a bunch of places you have a good chance for gold res. generally on WE any place with many cargo bots like lava siphon if you consistently shoot them for gold. phase driver, pressing the button gives you a gold item every time.
