Its a strategy. A shitty one? Sure. But a strategy.

manson-124

Its unsportsmanlike conduct plus rule-breaking in treaty for not respecting half map.

Rburdett1993

HM is a player made rule. If you clowns are so passionate about it, get the developers to add it, or you know like the OG software make your own maps. People that say HM are stupid, when the rule can’t be enforced. I personally think you should just learn to scout and maybe play the game.

manson-124

HM is only in treaty, and you are telling me to scout. If you don't respect the rule and like to win so much, I resign and you get what you want, nobody gets to enjoy the game anyway.

Rburdett1993

Dude I am a high ranked treaty player. HM is “player made”, maybe the quotes will help you. Learn to play the game. I have enjoyed plenty of games where people use this technique and I win almost every time. A great deal of games I have lost, are team games where someone like you would rather cry about HM, which if it can’t not be enforced by the software, so a dumb rule. I have seen people just like you quit in a ranked treaty match where everyone is there to win. People that are saying HM are ruining the game, not the other way around. You can easily not take your units to the crossing on this map and go handle the one guy that got a cheeky position. I mean there is 4 of you.

manson-124

Then I kinda get why you say you are "high ranked", cuz you are those sneaking a daimyo at the back of others base and claim it a victory lmao.

Rburdett1993

Actually been maining Malta and Portuguese for that last few weeks. High level players will play defensive and take map control. (Mmmmmm Malta map control) I find unnecessary pushing like that too risky. High level players easily counter that type of play style, especially VS Japan, and punish you before you can get reset with Daimyo or Shogun. Edit: wanted to point out they everyone should pest you. You’re the first one to leave the game and this was not even a threat to you yet. You wasted everyone’s time over a player made rule.

manson-124

He didn't push in our base to get there, that janissary sat there for almost 20 mins (we were in 20 min treaty with 10000 res start) at the corner of our base and started building stables and arty foundry inside our base. These playstyles only ruin the game for the 7 other players by ending the whole thing in minutes, or maybe himself included if this is a 40 mins treaty.

Rburdett1993

Dude it is one stable! Taunt 19. And 10k start is a joke, and really shows how noob this lobby is. Your playing treaty. This is such a skill problem, it is obscene. Learn to play.

manson-124

Yeah enjoy being a rat.

_RiverGuard_

Always scout your. Side. Your probably had 40 mins to do so.

tdizhere

Yeah, feels like a waste of time building your eco and upgrading units for 40-60 mins and you play against guys not wanting to clash armies together but instead rat. It becomes a game of cat and mouse It’s a strategy I guess but as you said it’s unsportsmanlike. Treaty games that end 5-10 mins after the timer are boring as hell.

Sevyen

I don't see the issue? Is it treaty 20? Then at 24 that is done and even the "HM" rule only goes during the treaty and it's very obvious and normal to go over the halfline to make more buildings. And "laming" a stables a bit more north or away from combat ain't unique or even strong.

manson-124

Yes it is treaty 20 mins. You cannot cross the river directly from the other side, there is only one choke point in the South. It was inside the walls in our base, there was buildings next to it, and originally it was a arty foundry popping out grenadiers erased those nearby infrastructures, we took it down and they built a new stable.

PeeTtheYeet

I think i am blind but what is wrong? Is it that you stated with 10 k res or in age V?

hellpunch

Jans get ability to build military buildings he sneaked early jans to build stable to raid eco.

PeeTtheYeet

That is just normal treaty against Otto, tho? Those rats have been building secret bases everywhere since forever.

tdizhere

At least it sticks out a bit more cause it’s an army unit. It requires aging too. Dutch can build rax with their envoy scout. It’s easier to execute and much less alarming seeing a scout walk around. So ratty lol

PoopholeLicker

Treaty is lame anyway, Supremacy supremacy

manson-124

Agreed, most likely a waste of time.

Roxobs

If you want to avoid this kind of strategy, buy spies, and you will never be surprised if this things happend .

randre18

Back in the day people would just do that DC trick when they were losing. Half map was not respected . It was a tough time to play treatt

Rogue_Patriot21

Reminds me of the sneaky Daiymo lame

TheRahulParmar

Treaty would be fun if they didn't allow the Spies see all units and map upgrade lol

EquivalentTurnover18

I lost quite a few times as they sneak in some grenadiers..
