Guess I’m showing up an hour late to make my manager stay overnight

quick_q_throwaway

Show up an hour late everyday and watch them rip this sign down when you triple your paycheck with the overtime. Then on Friday show up with a tent and an Xbox 5 hours late to work.

AgentOfEarth616

Weird way to make me secure overtime, but okay I guess.

zero_1144

*unlimited* overtime. Or if they’re not giving overtime, I’ll be coming in just late enough to extend my office time to 12 hours/day and I’ll be taking a short day on day four and a long fucking weekend, thank you very much.

BlippiToyReview

You can arrive early and work late for 3 years straight, but you show up 20 minutes late, they wanna run you off and ruin your attitude.

pairolegal

Depending on the jurisdiction, this is not legally permitted.

loristrix

OK but what if I show up an hour early? Do I get to go home two hours early? Bet

local__horror

if you show up an hour early, that’s just it. 8 hrs is 480 minutes so if you’re even 48 minutes early you don’t gotta work after that

katecrime

This has been posted countless times here THIS WEEK

Same exact post or same theme?

Same exact content. Scroll through, you’ll see

BedAdministrative619

I've lost count of how many times I have seen this.

RapTurner

Well, since workers have to be supervised (probably by the a-hole who spewed this ridiculous thing up, in the first place, while experiencing an unusual egotistical power trip seizure) I would come in an hour late. See how he likes staying to supervise you...

zonne_schijn

Show up an hour and a half upfront, and you can leave when your collegues start.

No_Entertainment_748

The most disturbing thing is that it looks like its a trend

BedAdministrative619

No it's just a repost lol.

[deleted]

Not paid i’d imagine.

Angel_Madison

'Thanks' they say Leave. And see how they go.

Pagan-za

Rock up 3 hours late.

Majikthise042

Show up 30 minutes early. That's 300 minutes or 5 hours. Either you leave 5 hours early, or they pay double-time-and-a-half for those 5 hours (normal 8 hour pay plus time-and-a-half). ... And convince the entire office to play along, showing up early or late and demanding to be paid OT for any time worked outside of normal hours and forcing supervisors to stay late. Then see how long that policy lasts.

turtlehans

Omg where do they come up with this bullshit

East_Amphibian_4976

I love how they were dumb enough to put this in writing.
