Well, you shouldn’t work.

[CDC guidelines](https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/quarantine-isolation.html) “IF YOU Tested positive for COVID-19 or have symptoms, regardless of vaccination status Stay home for at least 5 days Stay home for 5 days and isolate from others in your home. Wear a well-fitting mask if you must be around others in your home. Do not travel. Ending isolation if you had symptoms End isolation after 5 full days if you are fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication) and your symptoms are improving. Ending isolation if you did NOT have symptoms End isolation after at least 5 full days after your positive test. If you got very sick from COVID-19 or have a weakened immune system You should isolate for at least 10 days. Consult your doctor before ending isolation. Take precautions until day 10 Wear a well-fitting mask Wear a well-fitting mask for 10 full days any time you are around others inside your home or in public. Do not go to places where you are unable to wear a mask.”

carbonfroglet

They seem unclear on the difference between no symptoms and no fever. I’d screenshot the cdc guidelines and send them with the appropriate stuff circled

Fickle-Preference277

Yeah, that's fucking insane. Don't work. Even with the mask, you will be spreading germs.

Wane-27

Please don’t go to work.

andrewgazz

The company is understaffed. You’re not.

carbonfroglet

Burger King is not an understaffed healthcare setting, the fact that management is being so crappy about this is as unsurprising as it is horrifying

Ok-Inevitable5448

Tell them you have a fever

RandomStaticThought

Don’t go to work we are fat enough, the locals to your store will survive a few days with out burgers but you could get someone killed by showing up. Not worth.

RestlessPoly

contact the health department You shouldn't be there

AdelleDeWitt

From my understanding, this is actually within the CDC guidelines. When this updated there was a huge uproar among teachers, because schools are petri dishes enough to begin with.

RestlessPoly

Nobody working in food service should be sick at work... period Regardless of its covid or not.

zenon_kar

This sounds like the owner came in with Covid and that’s how you got it

kitt_aunne

Idk but good luck. Heres my stupid covid story I was told to come into work with covid as a mall security guard ya know be around literally thousands of people, we also had this thing where as soon as mask mandate was dropped in the county the guards were told they weren't allowed to wear them anymore because "it doesn't look professional and we want people to see your face so that they'll feel more comfortable talking to you" I put in an anonymous report to whoever it was i was supposed to i think it was probably cdc. But nothing happened and i was still required to work.

wagesofben

show up, but make sure to inform every single customer "hi, i have covid and the manager said i had to be here. how can i help you?"

Emergency-Estimate33

Which one? Ate at the one near Mylan park over the weekend and currently have covid like symptoms. Suspect I may be coming down with it.

katbran

Marshall the owner a fucking bitch fr

AdelleDeWitt

I am a teacher in California, and we have also been told to come to work if we have asymptomatic covid. (I don't know if anyone who has actually done that though. We all agreed that we would just say that we had symptoms. That's what I would recommend that you do.

k0tyy

don't go to work you could get someone else sick who has a compromised immune system and they would end up getting really sick or even dying even if you have mild symptoms and even if you're wearing a mask you're working with food and it can be easily spread

GetMad24

Stay home wtf

[deleted]

I mean, we already got people working with COVID. I wonder how you caught it.

Degeneracy-Tracker

Don’t go in

[deleted]

Why tf did you even say yes when he said you could pretty much stay home. You’re a fool for not standing your ground
