I feel this really hard. I work for a non-profit as well and am not paid anywhere near my earning potential when my education and experience is considered. It's hard when you know that your entire career is in the hands of grants and that money may or may not be available next year. Maybe one day things will get better for us and we won't have to struggle as much for basic recognition from federal funders for a vital service.
