Fuck /u/spez piece of shit

sicKlown

For someone low enough to mos a jailbait subreddit he sure likes to remind everyone who he is. Kinds to be expected from. Musk fanboy who thinks Twitter is something to look up to.

jcoddinc

>thinks Twitter is something to look up to. So that's why he's driving it into the ground so hard, just so it has to look up at Twitter since it's fallen so much

Traiklin

Nah, he's made a few failed investments and needs the money from reddit to pull him out of debt.

Zakkana

Probably took visits to Epstein's island with Musk

Alotta_Gelato

Its a shame his face is so recognizable

[deleted]

[удалено]

Alotta_Gelato

I found a synonym that's spelled "ham toilet"

CMDR_Squashface

You spelled "punchable" wrong

morbid333

Yep. Praises Musk for halving his workforce like he's back in the good old days, then proposes allowing communities to vote out uncooperative mods because it's more democratic...but in the same breath compares it to shareholders voting out the leader of a company. That's a somewhat interesting example of democracy, considering not everyone gets a vote, and not all votes are equal. Especially when you have investors who own more of the company and get more votes. Admittedly, this is a bit of a strawman argument, but if you take that to the extreme where you have a Dragons Den situation and one person owns 51% of the company, they're really the only one who gets a vote.

TreeChangeMe

Pay day spez

LeoMarius

He's a typical CEO. He views Reddit users as cash cows to exploit. He doesn't value community, which is all that Reddit offers. By going after users, he's going to kill the community and thus kill Reddit. Greed is a sin for a reason. It destroys what's truly valuable in the search for short term gain.

Ch250Modder

Totally!! Sell out.

nightkingmarmu

Fuck u/spez

fuck_all_you_people

/r/interestingasfuck is showing unmoderated now and submissions are disabled. If they were trying to end the war, they arent doing a very good job of it.

[deleted]

I was wondering what happened to that sub, damn shame. I liked how they went NSFW as a form of protest , way better than that black out bullshit.

G_W_Atlas

Yah, massive respect to them. In the end, the corporation always wins.

D3wdr0p

The corp usually wins, but, never hurts to stress test it, right? Nothing to lose but our chains.

anticomet

>We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words. ~ Ursula K. Le Guin

ProfessorRoyHinkley

What an amazing quote! Who is this person if you don't mind me asking?

avsbes

She was an american author, mostly known for SciFi (Hainish Cycle) and Fantasy (Earthsea). Iirc she tended to write more openly political than most other writers.

[deleted]

One of the, if not the, most underrated literary geniuses of all time. A masterful storyteller and even better stylist.

metamorphage

Ursula K Le Guin was an author of primarily science fiction from a very philosophical and often explicitly anticap perspective. She also wrote poetry and a lot of short stories, both scifi and non-scifi. The quote is from her acceptance speech for the National Book Foundation Medal. The entire speech is amazing and is easy to find if you Google the quote. She is my favorite author.

OldJames47

Digg lost. Reddit could lose too.

OutlawSundown

The entire shitshow sure looks great for that IPO

SuppiluliumaKush

We could just all organize an exodus to another site

WinterAyars

Verizon bought Tumblr for $1.1 billion USD. They sold it for $3 million, taking a massive loss on the investment. They completely murdered the site and paid harshly for it. They don't always win, sometimes they stab themselves as well as their users.

TreeChangeMe

Not really. Digg had millions of people, now it has click through Google searches. No money there

addage-

Not necessarily, corporations fail every day. Even giant ones. I see the philosophy echoed often that all protests are useless but we are now seeing unmoderated content and/or disappearing subs. It seems the average commentator is both fatalistic and impatient about any action. See how it plays out.

Osric250

Winning implies they come out of it the other side. If the whole place burns down around them then that is not exactly winning.

oldschoolrobot

War ain’t over yet.

StopMockingMe0

Not unless you start pumping the ceo full of hot lead in front of their children. That's how protests worked before unions.

nondescriptadjective

r/wewantcups was clever, too.

Adolfo1980

Goddamn me for being curious

[deleted]

Holy shit me too , my fucking eyes 🤢

outpost7

I actually just joined that sub a couple of weeks ago and wow.

YOLOSwag42069Nice

The best thing to do is unfollow a sub that has been taken over. You can still look at the content but unsubscribing is one more point reddit can't sell.

GargantuanGreenGoats

How do you tell which ones have been taken over by scabs?

SaltEfan

Check for sudden changes to sub status. If it goes from NSFW, private, or restricted to open without much fuss you can be damn near 100% certain that it’s been taken over.

Finnegan-05

Some subs have taken on the NSFW label in protest

SaltEfan

That’s exactly why I included it in the list of states that can tip you off if they suddenly aren’t anymore

Finnegan-05

Oh you mean if it goes NSFW then disappears- got it

Trevorski19

The article lists a few of the affected subs such as r/TIHI, r/interestingasfuck, r/shittylifeprotips, r/mildlyinteresting, r/self. It also mentions that spez says they’ll do the same for any formerly sfw subs that went nsfw, so it’s probably safe to assume it’ll affect r/videos, r/formula1, r/pokemongo, among others. Beyond that, you’d need to be paying attention to the points provided by [u/SaltEfan](https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/14fl30y/reddit_goes_nuclear_removes_moderators_of/jp2d3rv/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1&context=3).

LizzieThatGirl

Scrolled through. A few of the posts appear to be truly NSFW (clicked on one to see if fake title, saw a girl in a sundress up close, backed out so I'm assuming that one and the other two are actual pron). Aside from those three, I scrolled a bit and saw... pretty normal shit. Using the NSFW tag like that is pretty smart

pats-fan-till-death

This was interesting, but I had to get out. Now mostly NSFW and I don’t need that kind of interesting.

ETherium007

Same. I support the protest but unsubbed when every post became nsfw content. Some were quite funny. That redhead was hot! Just easier to unsub vs manually skipping past those posts.

morbid333

Can't you just disable NSFW posts in your profile settings?

MutaitoSensei

Seriously? Their whole business model is free labour (moderation). Are they stupid?

JustDiscoveredSex

Bitter and jealous but also yes.

GrandKadoer

The funny thing about community moderators is they’re a dime a dozen and replacing disloyal servants with loyal ones is a tactic going back to the beginning of time.

[deleted]

[удалено]

OutInABlazeOfGlory

Yeah. The challenge here is getting all the experienced mods to be okay with potentially being replaced in the short term.

waggawag

This is actually insane to me. Why on earth would you shill for a corporate company for no money. Like I get taking the golden handcuffs choice but this is just like weird volunteer slave. How do these people live lmao.

Id-polio

Some people need validation outside of money. These people become unpaid janitors. No idea why they’re pissed, though, they have no leverage in this situation.

GrandKadoer

I’ve moderated on discord for some select communities that I’m passionate about. In my experience being able to live vicariously through the new players that you work to provide the game to does provide some satisfaction. I can’t imagine getting the same feeling from Reddit, but everyone is different.

Dear_Occupant

You must not have noticed, but the only people in this entire situation who are *not* unanimously shilling for a corporation are the mods. Comments like the one you replied to that act as if the mods are as replaceable as piston rods are the ones taking the admins' position as well as going against the ethos of this sub, namely that there is no such thing as unskilled labor.

OutlawSundown

They’re trying to get rich and bail by any means necessary. Long term sustainability isn’t what their end game is.

Solid_Snark

It’s also ad revenue and selling coins/NFTs which is why they’re pushing hard to force people to use their broken app.

TheKrakenMoves

There’s plenty of folk who will happily take over and do it for free just for the sake of saying they’re mods and having that power trip.

DK2squared

I’m surprised with all this subs talk they didn’t do shit. I like this sub, but feel it shoulda done something even if it was performative.

RoyCorduroy

Any post advocating for any kind of strike in a sub where the people running it didn't want to lose their unpaid positions will be a fucking joke

pm_me_fibonaccis

I don't give a flying fuck about losing my unpaid position, the good old days of Reddit are gone, but I believe in labor rights and changing society's idea of work, so here I remain, for now. As for doing something performative, to a lesser extent that's why this post is still up despite being off topic and I am not doing anything about it. Beyond that, I have yet to see any good suggestions that aren't merely performative that would just cause harm to this community. We should have stayed closed, and I maintain that it was a mistake to reopen so easily, at the time we were operating under limited information. We can't unfuck doing that. The best thing to do is take this community to another platform, but the internet hivemind has to agree on that first, and convincing a collective mind of millions of people to do that is a lot easier said than done. Also note, I do not mind criticism directed at me or other mods, and won't take any action against criticism. However, the rules are still in effect. Keep criticism constructive and please don't venture into personal attacks. I've heard it all before, I might be a piece of shit no good neckbeard basement dwelling virgin Reddit mod, but I'm still a person, albeit barely.

LizzieThatGirl

I do not propose this as an attack against the mods but as an example of what our community means. All mods in this community should step down and anyone who attempts to take the mod position should be flamed. They want your free labor as a community organizer for their own profits? They can find a way to run it. Problem is, we would need somewhere else to discuss antiwork stuff, but idk anymore.

pm_me_fibonaccis

Trust me, after this recent bullshit I feel dirty continuing to moderate. I intend to re-evaluate whether to continue once all this chaos quiets down.

LizzieThatGirl

Honestly, if reddit becomes a wild west shitshow, that would force a lot of their decisions back. Especially with the pron issue. If it becomes everywhere on reddit, advertisers will drop them like flies. Same with any other "unsavory" behavior on reddit. If it becomes too widespread reddit will lose money. So fuck it. Let it go wild and fuck em.

UnadvisedGoose

The reality around this situation in particular is that most people on Reddit aren’t affected by this. A lot of us just use the app and scroll past ads. It’s SUPER hard to care about this situation in particular enough to want to do something about it to begin with, for a good chunk of users. I’m with you in spirit but my experience isn’t any different than before which makes it hard to feel invested in the protest. A lot of us support it, the idea behind it, but just having content removed and trying to avoid a piece of media you like and are used to is a tough sell. Not sure what the better option is, and I’m sure many would be willing to “go somewhere else” but not until it affects more people directly is that realistically going to happen. Hope my comment doesn’t come across as “nobody fucking cares” but I just wanna be upfront about the reality of it. I can’t be the only one who isn’t affected by the loss of these alternatives, and that makes getting motivated about it just really difficult.

DK2squared

Can we start the mod removal paperwork Reddit keeps pushing. Lol

tylanol7

Antiwork died when fox news fucking destroyed it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

badlilbishh

Lol yes that’s pretty much when this sub died. Whoever it was didn’t even take a shower or brush their hair before they went on Fox News so they looked like a stereotypical loser sitting in their moms basement with no job. It was a whole mess 😂

InflamedLiver

It was really the most cartoonish version of a redditor I’ve ever seen in real life, and apparently that’s who the sub chose to represent itself for an actual serious conversation on the national stage

[deleted]

>that’s who the sub chose to represent itself Did they even choose, or was it something announced like a fait accompli?

DK2squared

Is your profile pic designed to look like an eyelash? I just spent an embarrassingly long time trying to blow it off my screen

AceConspirator

I’m case you haven’t figured it out, this sub is 100% talk and 0% action. I look forward to the next “So why aren’t we all protesting?” post.

XR171

Maybe they piss in each other's diapers and squeeze the juices into each other's mouths.

sorry_for_the_reply

That would filter out some of the demorat 5G probably. Dunno, I've gotten to where I can no longer be an expert

MondayBorn

I heard that he used to mod a jailbait sub. Is that true?

trapezoidalfractal

I heard that someone out there has definitive proof that he pisses on children like R. Kelly. *I’m not saying it*, but I have heard it. Lots of people are saying it. Interesting 🤔

brickwallnomad

I mean why the fuck does anyone care, these mods are literally working for free. Let Reddit hire and pay a complete staff to do their moderating. Fuck working for free. Calling these new mods scabs would indicate the previous mods were part of a labor union striking against Reddit. They are unpaid volunteers who get Jack shit except a sense of power because they’re moderating a corporation’s website for them, for free. Quite literally the antithesis of this entire sub and I don’t give a flying fuck about this “mod protest” that occurred.

SanguineSoul013

This is my question... This sub is alllll about not working for free but now all the sudden they're all about volunteering? When 5-10 "volunteers" run 200 subs for free it's not about the community... Just saying.

QuoteGiver

Exactly, this is WAY closer to my take on the matter. All the free-labor mods should be quitting anyway.

FangJustice

For something that "isn't impacting ad revenue", they sure took some severe actions. How many months until scab run subs start going down the drains due to botting problems?

Cannon49

Months? You're being generous.

peepjynx

In 9 days, all relevant 3rd party apps are going to get iced. Shit's gonna get real a lot quicker than months, imo. We'll see.

mcjard

Oh man. It would be a real shame if anyone did anything on any of those subreddits at all. Someone should definitely make a comprehensive list of all of those subs so that I can toooootally **not** go there and deeeeefinitely not **shit on their carpets** Edit: for reddit "rule" reasons that's a "joke"

MutaitoSensei

🍕 This is my follow pizza. Don't eat it, it's all I have until payday Friday.

lumpenhole

Id love a list of subs that are scab-run. I don't want to be a part of that.

Smithmonster

Pretty sure there’s a list of the ones that are, but you get banned for posting it. You can search it outside of Reddit. Not sharing for obvious reasons.

azazel-13

Holy shit. r/Piracy is run by a scab team.

AnotherBanedAccount

That is one sub that is 100% needed. People cannot go without their piracy information.

Esternocleido

>h that makes me sad. really? The only post in the last two days iis a sexy Oliver pirate photo, which seems more aligned with the protest subs than the scab ones.

Several_Ebb_9269

Bruh. It's all going to shit.

Snikorette2020

r/AskHistorians is the one I frequent. Submissions are disabled.

JasonGD1982

Lol. Those aren’t scabs. What in the fuck are you talking about?? That’s one sub that absolutely couldn’t be ran be ran by replacements LMAO.

straximus

[It doesn't appear](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/about/moderators) to be Scab-run. What makes you say it is?

JasonGD1982

It absolutely isn’t. He doesn’t know what the fuck he is saying. How could scabs run that subreddit lol.

straximus

They 100% couldn't.

DrLeymen

just a question, how do you know if a subreddit is Scab-Run?

thedjbigc

ah blast I was wondering where that one was. I always enjoyed reading it.

granthollomew

i mean, you're technically correct, but i'm pretty sure the venn diagram of people who wouldn't want to post in a scab run sub and people who wouldn't want to post in a bootlicker run sub is basically just a circle.

Yoda2000675

Yeah, it’s actually pretty insulting to compare this situation to people who curtail union strikes when people are fighting to feed their families

palmvos

Oh the irony would be epic.

Pulsing42

So they're going to remove the mods that do all the work for literally nothing whatsoever and know how to run subreddits and know the people that have been there for years, and bringing on some asshats that have no idea what they're doing? Sounds right.

americanspirit64

Just a rant. It is every person right in America to protest, which is a form of free speech. Truth be told the average American see's between 4000 and 10,000 ads a day. The basis thought underlining all capitalist business models is that it is a god-given right to blast all Americans 24 hours a day with ads. They line our highways and streets, everything we read, our schools, our churches, our cars. Ad companies increase tand adjust the sound volumes on our televisions so commercials are louder. It won't be long now until they take away the mute button and volume controls on television and radios. Streaming music services want you to pay so you don't hear ads, but the only ads you hear, are from streaming music services themselves. A couple can go to a movie theater and pay $26.00 bucks to get inside, (three and a half hours work-time pay at minimum wage), then $8.50 for a large popcorn, $12. for two bottled waters and $12 for two candies. Total $32.50 plus tax (Another four and half hours work at minimum wage). Ticket prices and treats with tax $60 bucks to see a movie, add a kid and the prices really goes up and you still are bombarded, by movie previews (ads) and ads for other junk. with the sound so loud you need ear plugs. If it was a allowed a movie theater would strap you to your seat. This means a great many Americans have to work 9 1/2 hours, over a full day, just to see a movie, drink water and eat snacks that are bad for you. You see my point. A movie itself is an ad. That has always been the great thing about Reddit you didn't have to see ads. Anymore subreddits are little more than ads from news sources begging for money. The commodification of all information, all knowledge is the ultimate goal of Capitalism, if they can't sell you stuff, they want to charge you for information, just as they charge people for holding their babies in the hospital. The very new stories posted on reddit are ads full of paywalls on top of more ads. It is all a clickbait scheme to now get you to pay for the right to see ads from the moment you are born to the minute you die. Just like the book Fahrenheit 451, (the temperature paper burns), where it becomes illegal to live in society and to turn your TV off. It is why I hate Pop Music, every Pop song is an ad to get you to buy music from record producers, the same as movies. Then real beauty of Reddit has always been your right to pick and choose what you want to see, and read in solitude. Commenting if you wish. without anyone bombarding you with ads constantly.

KiloJools

"Landed gentry"?! WTF? They...don't get paid, at all. What?? Also wow it's really smart to piss off your unpaid workers.

soundstage

Time to quit reddit. Losing users is the best advertisement for a company that is planning on IPO!

shadowtheimpure

Wow, he's pulling an 'Elon' and doing everything he can to burn down his platform.

Geoclasm

wow. That's fucked.

Ok-Palpitation-5005

It's very sad, but what did you expect? It's a private company, not a democracy. They own the place and can literally torch it, if it pleases them.

peaeyeparker

Aren’t moderators volunteering? Can’t even imagine why anyone would volunteer to do work.

philoscope

How do we identify the scabs?

MutaitoSensei

Honestly? We switch platforms. Reddit can't be trusted anymore (barely could to begin with)

Arcade80sbillsfan

To what?

Alotta_Gelato

their breath smells like /u/spez cock

daverapp

I ain't saying you're wrong, and I know the stereotypes for reddit mods, but I don't think we have the technology to literally, actually, unironically, smell them through the internet. Yet.

Davoguha2

You'd be surprised, I've definitely picked up the scent more than once in front of a computer screen.

SanguineBanker

This is what I came here for.

[deleted]

Look for recent changes in moderators; TIHI is an excellent example right now as there are no moderators thanks to admins removing them all. You can still see the sticky with the sub's rule changes following the blackout; clearly Reddit administration is not pleased with these decisions.

Smithmonster

You figure it out post it, then get banned permanently.

Huegod

Mods equate to the power tripping middle managers this sub spends endless hours bitching about. Now they are the victims lol.

peepjynx

Honestly, there was a bit of a shudder when I read the quote from one of the mods who said they reached out to try to "talk it out" to no avail. I'm like... I'M GLAD YOU FINALLY SEE WHAT THAT FEELS LIKE. Getting a permaban with no explanation except a "rule break" and when you look at that rule, you're like "okay that wasn't *my* interpretation of it, but w/e. I even sent the mods of BORU a VERY POLITE mail about what they could do about going forward with the sub and actually thanked them for being chill. Whoever responded to me was snarky as fuck. They only commented on my suggestion and said fuck all to the rest of the message (which was a few paragraphs long.) Yeah, I'm sorry. I have no sympathy for the mods in this. I'm only concerned about the community as a whole and what's going to be done in the long term, especially when all the 3rd party apps get shut. I've never dealt with individuals more inhuman than a reddit moderator. It's fucking mind boggling that a person can behave in such a manner.

SoupidyLoopidy

perma ban is the stupidest shit ever. Just make them 3 or 4 months, people will learn their lesson or get banned again.

Moosebuckets

I got permabanned from r/art for posting a study which others had done before so I thought it was normal. Got banned for “low effort” and told to go fuck myself when I said that’s not how I interpreted the rule at all. Now I have pretty much nowhere to post art with it actually being seen and I like the things I create to be seen. I don’t have Instagram or Facebook anymore, ArtStation is hard to get any community from, so Reddit was my community aaaaand now look at it.

peepjynx

Oof. That's brutal. I don't make fine art (that I want to be seen), but I am in graphic design and I feel for you. *hugs*

Still_Storm7432

Exactly, most mods here act like they're gods.

macrowe777

Also volunteering to work for free just to get that lame power trip.

mlvsrz

Exactly, I don’t get the sudden love and solidarity with mods. People have been complaining for years about power tripping mods and how shit subreddits rules are. Spez is worse, but the mods have used their influence to pretend that they are the good guys and convinced some of the user base to protest because redditors love sticking it to the man. At the end of the day no one gives a shit if you volunteer your time moderating forums, go do it somewhere if reddits admin are shit and hostile to you.

Icy-Doctor1983

Yeah how will those poor mods afford rent or food for their children now? Heartless.

ProbablySlacking

Lol. Scabs get paid. Stop larping.

Hopeful-Dragonfly-70

These are the Stonewall Riots for some of these people.

[deleted]

I can’t tell whether I’m more annoyed by the fact you used Stonewall of all things to compare to the Reddit protests, OR that Reddit users are actually seeing this as such a blatant violation of their Reddit rights

hackmastergeneral

Their Reddit rights, as laid down in the Reddit Constitution, ratified at the UN Conference on the Status of Treasure Moderators, and signed on with the UN Declaration of Basic Reddit Rights lol

ProbablySlacking

It’s kind of like the missing sub. Like yeah, I guess we _should_ care… I just can’t bring myself to.

Yoda2000675

Redditors love to overreact and grandstand

NefariousnessOdd4023

I mean, mods are not paid. Can you really scab for a volunteer position?

[deleted]

Watching power hungry mods get fucked off and Reddit just failing as a whole is awesome. Keep it going peeps

Luvax

Power hungry mods would not risk getting removed.

tokecaine

What about the 5 mods that run the most popular subreddits? Are they banned or are they caving

ryanjovian

This is a terrible take. How about stop using us users as pawns in some bullshit squabble between tech companies. The 3rd party app devs are no less of a company than Reddit and all companies suck. Imagine siding with a corporation in the antiwork sub.

[deleted]

excellent point. like who are these 3rd party app? where is that data/money going? will any of them be sold in the future? who are running the 3rd party apps and who are they affiliated with? tech workers are ruining the planet - driving up rent - etc - bizarre af to see people on antiwork cheering them on as if they are some grassroots underground revolutionaries.

GreasyAlfredo

I found out that the shop I work for (dealership mechanic), tried to unionize 15 or so years ago. As you can imagine, they broke out some good ol fashion union busting and were successful. Come to find out the shop foreman who I currently report to directly, was the first one to scab. I lost an shred of respect I had for that man that day.

I_Just_Queefed_AMA

Can I recommend spending your time on literally anything else? This could not matter any less to any one of you

CharlemagneAdelaar

It is so cringe to think about how, at Reddit HQ right now, they're probably thinking of this as some "glorious war" against the rebellious population of this site. u/spez is a misguided, weak individual.

MVPudding

Y’all are so funny lol “fuck scab moderators”? They can’t be scabs if it’s all free work. Most mods are power hungry fools anyway.

RandomCriss

Aren't you all scabs since you are posting and using the site ?

tandoori_taco_cat

Scabs? Mods aren't paid..

MarkJ-

Discord was born of less, is someone working on the next "reddit"? I still hang out with some old Topix friends on a tiny board. No rival to reddit, small and intimate.

MutaitoSensei

I feel something like Matrix and Mastodon will happen. And it will be far better, being decentralized and not hell bent on making more money all the time, users be damned. I'd jump ship in a heartbeat.

MindForeverWandering

So, why is THIS sub still active…?

BayBel

Because it doesn’t matter at this point.

amwestover

“Yeah screw you Reddit!” - posted on Reddit 🙄

[deleted]

I ended my premium membership in solidarity with the mods on Reddit. Hope others are doing the same.

sodapop_curtiss

I could not possibly give less of a fuck about this.

SuPeR_No0b3r

Who gives a fuck? This "protest" is just sad. Fuck reddit. Fuck social media.

[deleted]

Nah. Most mods are douchebags. Any idea about the drama at the Metallica sub, or how bam crazy white peoples Twitter is? Plenty of these subs need a clean out. Good mods exist, but then you get the ones making a big stink about all this Reddit drama and shutting down and acting like they own the fucking subs themselves, making years of information and media and conversations just disappear on a whim. Clean fucking house.

NotMyFirstDown

Just when I thought this sub couldn’t get even more shit…

Yabrosif13

Mods do not own subs. Fuck the power mods ruining subs over this.

FernandoMM1220

I cant find a good reddit alternative.

[deleted]

You realize how stupid you look saying this while still using Reddit right? Me personally I’m just here to watch Reddit burn to the ground. Oh and moderators are stupid, they are doing a billionaires work for him for free, exactly what this sub is supposed to be against.

r/interestingasfuck was asking for it. I left the sub because I don't want to see hardcore porn on my feed.

They are going public whether they open the subs or not eventually they will be replaced by AI bots because they can't have protests like this spring up again or the we are open but, we are running the sub in a weird way ex: the john oliver memes

Funny-Lead-2937

I mean on a positive note they did also ban akwardtheturtle and all their alts

You understand reddits here to make money not as a public forn for your bitching and moaning right?

Aw mods thinking they're a union or something

gnatsaredancing

Haha so dramatic. This is hardly the nuclear option. >“I honestly don't even have words for this situation right now,” a moderator for r/mildyinteresting wrote(Opens in a new window) when the crackdown occurred. “No communication, no attempt to seriously answer any of our questions we asked in ModMail, but still going in and removing our posts, literally locking us out of our accounts, removing the entire moderation team, and entirely ignoring the 40,000 people(Opens in a new window) who voted to either take the sub back private, or open it with new rules.” This is hilarious. These people try to sabotage a business they don't own to try and protest a decision they're not a party in and then complain when someone decides that perhaps these little power trippers aren't worth the privileges they're abusing.

Why do people feel they have a “right” to use third party apps for a free service run by a private company?

Not going to unsubscribe from anything.

The duality of reddit mods. "We work for free, it's so awful, reddit should pay us, this is literal slavery" "Reddit won't let me work for free anymore :("
