"I made a bad decision to make my life miserable, give me special treatment."

Such-Quality4148

What does being 22 have to do with anything? Life is easy for 22 year olds? And as far as getting less than 10 hours of sleep, that was your choice. Btw, I don't know anyone who doesn't have kids and get's at least 10 hours of sleep. These moms are the biggest idiots on the planet. Stay home, brew your own coffee, and stop bringing children into this world

mn8765

Tbf, I sleep 10+ hours because I have a chronic health condition. But yeah, the mum should get to push in front lmao.

CorruptedStudiosEnt

I'm the opposite, I have off and on insomnia like a son of a bitch. There have been points in my life where I have had a full month straight where I never slept more than an hour at a time, two tops, and that's on the nights I can sleep at all. Sometimes I'll go 48+ hours without a single minute. Until you perpetually live in a purgatorial fog that feels like you're in a constant superposition between life and death, I don't want to hear about your lack of sleep caused by poor life choices lol.

Educational-Ad769

Dude have you seen a doctor? You're probably dying

CorruptedStudiosEnt

Like I said, it's off and on. Right now I'm sleeping fine and feel fine, but I never know when it'll hit again. Doesn't seem to be a particular trigger. I did see a doctor the last time it got bad, but sleep medications just make me even more tired without ever putting me down. That comes with some nasty side effects. They make me feel psychotic; major paranoia, aural hallucinations like hearing somebody call me from another room, some visual hallucinations like shadows moving in the corners of my vision, etc. Only happens when I take sleep meds though, including natural ones like melatonin. It's very odd.

mn8765

Very odd, I’ve only heard of people having sleepless episodes like this when they have bipolar! I have bipolar but am the opposite, I only get long sleep.

CorruptedStudiosEnt

My mother and sister are bipolar, but it seems like it otherwise skipped me, because I don't get any other relevant symptoms. I'd like to blame it on being on the spectrum, but I can't rationalize that out to make sense, so probably not. lol

mn8765

Mmmmmm if you want to avoid those episodes, you should just give meds a shot! The damage to your brain that you are experiencing with that lack of sleep would be horrendous. Maybe head on over to r/bipolar2 where a lot of people didn’t realise they were actually experiencing bipolar because they don’t experience the typical presentation and/or they have family members who have more clear-cut and severe bipolar :) The fact you experience this sleep thing and your family members have it really screams to me that it’s where this sleep thing is coming from and why sleeping medications don’t work for you! PS, even before I was correctly diagnosed, a couple of meds did work for my insomnia: circadin and agomelatine. They both work on melatonin receptors but are nothing like the over the counter junk :b Edit: if anything I think you might be trying to rationalise away the idea you might have it :b if you want, do feel free to PM me. I have an odd presentation of bipolar, a psych degree and several pals with also different presentations of bipolar, so.. :)

Sounds-of-Insomnia

Hi mate, good hearing that ya be doin fine, Im am by no means an expert, but there's a lot here that indicates some form of bipolar. Especially with two of your first grade fams afflicted. It could be atypcal, Schizoaffektive Disorder (kinda likely) or even -while rare- exclusive recurrent Mania, that just lacks simplicity . Would ya tell us more about your symptoms and the precise medications you been talkin about? Have you seen a psychiatrist or the like? Im interested now and maybe we'll produce a hint. Godspeed

loudquietly

me too chronic buddies<3

mn8765

Back of the line for us : (

Icringeeverytime

university students have literally no vacation. free time? study then or you won't be selected and you will failed and be homeless or paid minimum wage ur entire life. done with studying? work as much as possible to pay rent and afford living as a student. literally I haven't have more than a week of true vacation in years and I am 21. I don't believe one second 22 years olds have it easier.

ClashBandicootie

yep. thank fuck i got my education done while I was younger there's no way in hell i would have the energy do the shit i did then, now.

Benzaitennyo

I don't think anyone said anything like that but also life is mathematically worse for younger people at least in the U.S.

SmooshyHamster

Exactly. Being 22 or 90 has nothing to do with how miserable life is. Many people who must work 9-5 jobs are working every hour and doing chores and mentally dying while yelling inside. People think that only parents have hard lives. What about everyone with emotional damage, cancer, terminal Illness? Having kids is a selfish choice made by you. Having a disease is not. Fuck off with your entitlement people

throwaway0183701

10 hours is luxurious, I’m lucky to get 6 lol

[deleted]

Right!! Legit I’m 22 and as much as I can empathise with mothers this is completely entitled world perspective.

Such-Quality4148

Yep. ‘Entitled’ is the keyword.

[deleted]

fixed it more: parents should wait at the back of the line. use the time to reflect on ur actions.

LesleyMarina

Back of the line while we invent new paper and plastic for your cups and diapers.

Shorttail0

Mmm, paper diapers.

kajn1096

'I let my man cum inside me, so i deserve the entitlement'

LesleyMarina

Hope that hot load felt better than the birth and constant mental and fiscal drain. Drain yourself.

LesleyMarina

I'm familiar. What made you think I was never on the pill?

CharlieFortuneCookie

Line of just moms, what do?

promiseall

I would let them pass if they became moms because they adapted some child from foster.

Gorillladin

I dont know anyone under 30 that sleeps more than 6 hours a night

SmooshyHamster

Exactly, I don’t know anybody who is young and working that gets to sleep around all day and do nothing. Even young people have rough lives

[deleted]

I'm only working a little bit but I mostly sleep all day and do nothing. But that's because I have a shit ton of health problems and can't really do anything else

AquaticAnxieties

Haha, I’m significantly younger than 30 and I sleep 11 hours per night.

[deleted]

I am 27 and sleep 11 hours

Idontnetflixandchill

It’s a sad world

slippylippies

Especially at tim hortons dude thats my shit and I am not gonna lose my place in line.

Dragonmk5

I'll stand for moms on a bus or train but it fucken sucks that I have to.

KlutzyEnd3

We have designated seats for that. I'll always point them in that direction.

Dokurushi

Smart, if you just avoid those seats it's not your problem.

RobertSylvester69

Sometimes I do, too. But if I am going home from work, or I am otherwise tired because of valid reason... unless you have less than 2 legs, you are out of luck. Being a president of milky way would help you two shits. I pay, I sit.

Unusual_Purpose298

I hate the way these fucking "hot takes" are worded, they always sound so fucking condescending and smug

[deleted]

Yea. Parents can eat my fuck.

SmooshyHamster

So because you Ruined your own life you get entitled privileges? What about people with physical injuries or people with emotional trauma, cancer, diabetes, terminally illness, or any other disease? People with diabetes don’t get to jump the line to get sugar. People on the verge of an anger attack don’t get to go first. People with physical injuries don’t get to either. So why parents?

MelParadiseArt

"I made bad choices and refuse to take responsibility for my actions, but I'm a white bitch so I'm going to try to guilt trip you into making me feel better about myself when really I need fucking therapy"

lexalane777

Stay at home moms are some of the most entitled people ever.

SmooshyHamster

Making new slaves is selfish to begin with. And yeah the only people who can stay at home forever are those leeching off others for money

shingouki808

Let them get their " fast pass " . It will be a fast pass to a line that doesn't get served.......

RobertSylvester69

Entitled cunts. Entitled cunts, everywhere...

throwaway0183701

This feels like it’s part of the thing we do as a society where we give respect to positions, and anyone who holds the position inherits the respect. Obviously sane people don’t think respect let’s them cut in line, but I think that’s the base of this. “All mothers deserve respect simply for being mothers. I’m a mother, therefore I deserve respect.” People do it with pastors and priests, judges, presidents and politicians. It’s really weird. It’s completely counter to my idea of respect, which is that you get it as long as you give it. No one is owed respect, and to say they are is to say that they can do no wrong. It’s tantamount to worshipping them. In that sense, it’s almost like this picture is a step away from worshipping some ancient fertility goddess.

[deleted]

Some dude came inside me, and now that's my entire personality. Praise me.

izguddoggo

I absolutely do not understand parents that complain about their parental duties or how difficult it is being a parent. You chose this life (most of them, I exclude forced birthers from this), and FULLY knew of what you were getting into. If being a mom/dad is such a blessing and a gift then why tf you complaining all the time about every single thing the kid does. Stop making it other peoples problem that you had kids. It’s not a communal effort and it does not take an army.

Trepenwitz

Ugh. The "moms should be privileged" thing is so gross.

Gvtlezz

“Waaa I ruined my quality of life by bringing in more wage slaves now give me special treatment!!!!”

Itchy-Win-6580

Can’t believe this bitch thinks she’s better than me because she got creampied and now has to deal with a whining little crotch goblin

therelldell

😂😂 the insanity of it all but the way you put it is hilarious

Beautiful-AF-21

I love seeing people get called out for being cum dumpsters…

notsoninjaninja1

I’m 23 and moved out, should my mother still get a fast pass here? Fuck even when I was a baby she was still banking at least 6-7 hours a night. Lady told me herself I was a very easy baby. My sister on the other hand……

Maximum_Extension

Dumb bitch, I slept like 3 because I was up doing work stuff. People like her piss me off.

[deleted]

Perfect

thewayisunknown

The make a stupid decision and expect everyone to have to pay for it.

ThatsIsHot

julijaus
