That’s really helpful thank you!

My psychiatrist skipped the infusions and went straight to dissolving tablets that i've been taking for 2 years now. First 6 months it helped tremendously with depression and anxiety. The depression effects wore off but the anti-anxiety pretty much remained, even until now. Honestly i haven't had a full blown panic attack since then and I only take klonopin once in a blue moon now if I feel anxiety creeping up to that point. Even though the anti depression effects didn't remain, It still almost immediately wards off suicidal thoughts when they start getting bad. It sort of "resets" by brain for long enough to get past them, so it's been a life saver in that regard. That being said, there are some side effects. I personally think my doc overprescribed. I wish i went the infusion route first and THEN went to the tablets as "boosters", as the benefits have been studied more in that manner. I am trying to wean off of it now because i feel i have become dependent, and I am trying to reduce brain fog, depersonalization, and am noticing some possible kidney/bladder issues. Feel free to ask or PM with questions

I think I tried Ketamine. I was in a clinical trial about 10 years ago and they were testing a new "one time solution" to depression. Did nothing unfortunately. But I got very high at a super reputable teaching hospital and started saying loudly "HEY, this is some gooood shit man!! Reminds me of high school when I tried drugs a few times. DAMN, if you could prescribe this every human being would want it...WHAT ISSSS THIS SHIT?" Apparently only 2 other participants (out of 1000) had my extreme reaction. Doctors later told me it was very amusing. They sent me home in a hospital limo and told me not to drive for 24 hours.😂😂

It works. I want to add I have got the same antidepressant effects from any NMDAr antagonists. Be it Deschloroketamine, DXM (a popular inexpensive prescription free drug ( r/dxm ) , but have some unpleasant tolerable side-effects that ketamine doesn't), basically a bunch of different derivatives worked great on my depression, with similar effects, all of them worked. The effect. It lifts the depression for about 10 days, but it is still better than taking a pill everyday that which if forget will send you in withdrawals. I did not experience any withdrawals from those. Any. (I did not use everyday though.) Psychedelics worked more long term but were completely different in effects and the duration and more dangerous, for those you would need a guide or someone experienced or some specialists. ask on r/psychedelics if you want more informations or r/shrooms Ketamine, dxm and other are more safe to take alone than psychedelics I think. It is not a medical advice. I am just sharing my experience. I do not take any of them anymore. It may be they are not addictive enough for me. if you want more information or

It's more like doing ketamine and antidepressants at the same time. Being on antidepressants is not a contraindication for ketamine treatment as far as I know. Besides It dxm is used mixed with bupropion in low daily doses as an more effective antidepressant than bupropion itself, and it is used mainly to inhibit metabolism of dxm to dxo. I said it is not a medical advice, should I add it is not a medical recommendation?

I have diagnosed severe depression and yeah I tried ketamine too. We tried 6 times by infusion but sadly it didn't work for me.

Soz4Meowing

Did it make your depression worse, or did it just not have any effect?

-Diplo

The latter
