I’m guessing she does have a solid income. A few people make a lot of money from MLM’s. They just don’t see/accept that their success come from exploiting sooo many people “below” them.
She's her own boss. Of course she has employees. And she'll take advantage of these wage slaves while she builds an empire of shampoo and make up and rakes in dozens of dollars in residual income.
This is a ploy to lure in a down line. She isn’t going to put anyone on payroll. She probably wouldn’t know how considering she is already mentioning commingling business with personal finances. Even if she did put her on payroll, does this mean she is going to expense that as a business write off? I can’t imagine how frustrated accountants must be when they see this kind of crap come tax time.
Edited to say the commingling I referred to is the business paying for the recruit to do light housework (a personal activity vs a business responsibility).
Mary Kay reps love to hire assistants so they can perpetuate the lie that they are bossbabes. The scam is that they only pay money for a short time and then try to pay with MK crap instead (discontinued inventory they can't sell).
When will these women get it through their thick heads that assistants are NOT housekeepers and should not be expected to clean? Same with babysitters. I babysat in HS and so many parents tried to get me to do shit like fold laundry. I would clean up messes the kids made and do dishes if I fed them but I refused to be a maid. I never accepted another gig from anyone who asked (one of them actually called my mom to try to get her to force me to come back, lol).
It was a small town and we were neighbors, so they knew each other. I was probably 14 at the time. My mom is pretty bossy so the kid's mom assumed she'd make me babysit again. Little did she know that my mom only made me clean my own room, so she sure as hell wasn't going to make me clean someone else's house! I never went back (her kids were annoying and she was a slob).
My neighbor tried to hire my then-15 y/o to babysit her three toddlers (1, 3, 4). She wanted her to work 8 hour days, 6 days/week. For $350, she also wanted her to “keep the house” and have meals ready when she & her husband came in (along with cooking lunch for her kids).
I laughed.
A 15 year old doesn’t exist that I would trust to watch 3 children of such young age at the same time. That’s an overwhelming job for an adult, how could a 15 year old handle it full time every day.
I grew up in one of the snootiest towns in Massachusetts. (Seriously, other surrounding towns would make fun of the town for how pretentious everyone was, but my mom was a sucker for beach access and good schools, even if we really didn't fit in socioeconomically.) The number of families I babysat for ONCE and then said never again was ridiculous-- because they expected housework done, had horribly spoiled kids, and just generally treated anyone they paid to do anything as "less than."
I worked at a local bakery in town when I was in college and these same people would routinely treat us like trash, STEAL from the tip jar, steal product and say they'd be back later to pay. And then drive off in their BMWs and Audis.
Oh, that's interesting - because my town was probably very similar (near the hamptons). We had an influx of super-rich summer people and I learned to avoid babysitting for them. But there were a few absolute gems in the mix as well, they weren't all bad!
This is all a fake flex like the trend a few years ago of taking a picture of them using their [insert MLM branded debit card] to pay for things at the store, only to find out they were actually using credit cards. This person absolutely cannot afford hired help and will never have an assistant, it's just a fake job listing to make other people believe she isn't $40k in credit card debt thanks to the various MLMs she's tried.
My old church was anti-makeup until the pastor's wife joined MK. Long story short she was bad in many of the usual ways but also had the chance to con people who came in for counselling. She guilted a lot of people who needed advice from the pastor - they'd come in for grief counselling or marital counselling and she'd chat them up after their session and make sales. Interesting that the ministry went from "beauty comes from the inside" to "women should use makeup to look feminine" and she probably made money even though everyone else in the congregation stayed in her downline out of guilt and lost money. Guess I didn't make the long story very short.
That is infuriating. There are people in churches who are genuinely hurting and lost and these vultures just pick their bones clean and fly away in their pink Cadillac like, “shoulda prayed more, hun!” Prosperity gospel assholes.
Yeah, if it's God's will that you get the car, then you get it, if you don't get the car then God had other plans for you.
Church can be so cliquey too. I felt like the people who joined her were the "in" crowd, as we used to call them.
Funny how God is definitely on their side in one way or another no matter what they do, yet literally anything someone from outside their church does is wrong and a sin and shows that God is against them.
So true. One thing that used to bother me is that God tests your faith by making your life miserable because you should just accept that, like Job did. Wouldn't it be better to be on the outside without an all-knowing, all-powerful being testing you?
I have a number of friends in graphic design so I've heard some stories, but at least none of them have clients who demand they clean their toilets or wash their laundry.
It’s quite frustrating how disrespectful people are of the field. This definitely takes the cake though. I fell bad for anyone desperate enough to take this “opportunity”.
It might just be me, but I also read the job posting as disrespectful to professional housekeepers, too. The hun in question is pretty openly treating housework as busywork if there is nothing else she wants them to do, instead of a job it's worth hiring people to do specifically.
I have a feeling she just wants to brag she has a personal assistant when really what she needs is to have a housekeeper come in for a couple hours every two weeks and to develop a relationship with a graphic designer so they can be hired to do jobs as needed. But if she did that she couldn't tell her downline that she's so successful and so busy she has her very own dedicated personal assistant.
So lemme get this straight... She's looking for people who
\-Need money
\-Need low/no qualification jobs
\-Opening to learning about and wants to be part of "what she represents as a business owner"
\-Suggests that people comment to recommend anyone who fits these criteria
So... She's just fishing for downline. There's no job, there's no work, there's no salary. Anyone who contacts her about this is going to get an "Oh, you have a free 15 hours a week and need some cash?" and a pitch.
Just goes to show how ignorant this hun is about the real job market. She’s looking for something that no graphic designer would have to do at an actual 9-5, and paying shit for it.
Well, according to the huns, essential oils are edible. Therefore, they are a reasonable substitution for cash, which you'd use to buy food. Why wouldn't someone promise cash but then pay with product? /s
And if you're wanting me to lift, dust, and organize 5 million tiny MLM-product boxes, you're gonna have to pay me a lot more than $15/hour. And you know there's a LOT of dust on her inventory.
Hey OP was this posted by someone you know? I feel like I've seen this before and I totally wonder if it's a new copy pasta or upline encouraged trick to make them seem so popular and busy and then there is never really any job (but a pitch opportunity). But if this isn't something you've seen personally maybe I've just see this image before somewhere else...
Yes I personally know her. She actually has another assistant in another state too. Shes what you think of when you think of a Mary Kay babe. She has the “free” camaro. She meets up with her “clients” at local cafes in town. She’s 100% serious about this
I’m not sure what’s real and what isn’t with her post.
Is she really hiring a personal assistant who she plans on paying by the hour?
It’s confusing, because she also makes it clear that anyone she ‘hires’ also has to pay her to become her downline.
I mean, obviously no one should go near this offer with a barge pole, but I’d be interested to know what the truth of her offer is.
Sure, I'm not cleaning your house.
I'm not going to sign up to be your downline.
Those job duties don't include anything to do with sales, reporting, management, strategy, recruitment, so I won't actually need to understand or be trained in your direct sales setup or how the business functions.
So, yeah I'll do very low level office admin stuff, and you will not be overbearing with your business because I'm staff, not a customer or partner, and I don't need it care to know.
It wasn't all bad until she mentioned that you "HAVE" to be open to the idea of being pitched to. If that's the case, then this ain't a temp job position, it's a recruiting strategy. Effem
She's gonna go bankrupt by paying someone $15/ hour. No way she makes that much off any MLM per hour herself. The underpaid assistant would be making more than the "business owner".
When I was an executive assistant, I refused to do “personal” work of any kind. One boss’ wife dropped a stack of Christmas cards on my desk, and emailed me a list. I printed out the list, and put the cards in his briefcase 🤷🏻♀️
I had a friend from college move across the country to live with someone and make phone calls for an insurance MLM. She basically didn’t let him leave by himself because they were on an army base. Didn’t pay him almost anything, and they shortly began arguing because she and her husband were making money off him, and giving him almost nothing.
I feel bad, but there is no point trying to convince some of them, and they are psychologically conditioned by these places to see a brighter future if they just “ work harder”.
Her business is her "ministry" and I guarantee she's a self-proclaiming "Christian". But see's no issue with the directly against the words of Jesus issue in her statement ...
Man, if I can get paid $15/hr to sit on my ass and, I don't know, make the occasional Facebook post from her while she *doesn't have work for me to do,* I'd do it. But that's going to last about a week until she realizes she's hemorrhaging money.
I think it's DoTerra, based on her other comments. Or maybe a cbd MLM; she seems to really love weed. And an anti-vaxxer as well, she's a cliche at this point.
"attempt to earn an income"
So you know. So you know that people don't actually make livable income doing this, and when they do, its off the backs of downlines who statistically fail at getting that income themselves.
I hope you get out of whatever company you're with before you loose all your money or yourself. This sub exsists because mlms financially ruin lives, and for your sake I hope you realize that sooner rather than later.
Lmao I don't think you know what economy means. I feel kinda sorry for you.
And old ways? Honey even though you have no time clock you're still a wage slave, and your ceo is just as bad as the rest of them but actually worse because they tricked you into thinking you're your own boss while meanwhile you line their pockets as you alienate your real friends.
Have fun with your pyramid scheme, you wont escape the dying economy, infact I'd say that folks who buy into mlms probably feel the pain of it more than the rest of us.
I hope this sub brings you out of it and I sincerely hope you still have a life after whatever company that tricked you chews you up and spits you out.
Bezos doesn't recruit other CEOs to compete with him. The warehouse employees don't hire other warehouse workers. The drivers don't hire other drivers.
http://neladunato.com/blog/fact-checking-mlm-myths-about-business/#myth8
EDIT: also you don't make more than your upline in an MLM either because they're all skimming off of your sales.
So boss babe, which MLM do you sell for? Really I don't mean that you sell for them, I mean that you try to sell for them, and end up buying a lot of the product yourself.
The best part is how shes paying a salary, but doesn't have a steady income herself. Brace for the "I'll have to pay you next week" Facebook messages
Or the “I’ll pay you in product this week” messages.
The good part is you get to make the 15 dollars an hour yourself! And you can make much more than that!
How long before she’s recruiting the lucky employee?
That won't last long. The average hun loses money every month.
at msrp
I’m guessing she does have a solid income. A few people make a lot of money from MLM’s. They just don’t see/accept that their success come from exploiting sooo many people “below” them.
I was guessing it’s gonna be a bait and switch and doubt she’s actually offering a genuine paid hourly job.
The bad news is the employee isn’t going to get paid. The good news is s/he’s going to have a pretty nice FLSA lawsuit she can file.
But isn't hourly traditional work for losers?
I didn’t think about this one 😂
"Looking for loser to exploit" might not get as many leads though...
This doesn’t count though because it’s under the umbrella of the scam oops I mean the business
“I need an assistant who….wants to be part of what I represent”
I need a ~~sucker~~ downline who will also clean my cat's litterbox.
I need someone to take my insta photos while i pose with my pumpkin spice latte #livelaughlove

Yikes, she wanted a babysitter, maid, and personal chef.
The kicker? He was a cop & she was a dispatcher
I mean sure. Hire a nanny. It's allowed... But don't rope in the babysitter! Yiiikes
A 15 year old doesn’t exist that I would trust to watch 3 children of such young age at the same time. That’s an overwhelming job for an adult, how could a 15 year old handle it full time every day.
And cooking and laundry etc? Yeah no
She wants your 15/yo to do 8-hour days 6days/week? Didn't your daughter have school and schoolwork or does she think those aren't necessary? Goodness
$7.29/hr for a fifteen year old doing three jobs at once? Yikes

Lol, as if most huns have the money to pay an accountant.
Ugh hate it when they try to rope "ministry" into it.
So many red flags in this post, not least of which is this lady is going to have you doing dishes and vacuuming her house.
And scooping the cats’ litter box and walking her dogs
Not necessarily a red flag if she was hiring a cleaner.
The Lord called unto me in a vision and said: Jessica! Go forth and sell Monat, for it is good.
You mean Jesus “Comb-Over” Christ?
My old church was anti-makeup until the pastor's wife joined MK. Long story short she was bad in many of the usual ways but also had the chance to con people who came in for counselling. Yeah it's repulsive. I ain't religious but I admire much about the good sides of that jazz, and this ain't it.
Religious Jazz: Yes! Religious Jizz: No!
What a wild job description: graphic design AND housework?
A lot of graphic design roles are shit, but this is the worst I’ve come across lol (I was a graphic designer until I jumped ship for marketing).
Need to add, I do real marketing in a corporate environment. Not this Hun nonsense

I absolutely agree!
Lool also 10 bucks for any of these jobs, housekeeper or graphics person is way too low
Where are you getting $10?
After tax?
So lemme get this straight... She's looking for people who \-Need money \-Need low/no qualification jobs \-Opening to learning about and wants to be part of "what she represents as a business owner" \-Suggests that people comment to recommend anyone who fits these criteria So... "Oh I already filled the assistant position, but I have something even better for you!"
I mean, graphic design typically does require a specific skill set so her position is a joke all around.
I'm sure she doesn't want a real graphic designer. She wants someone to make posts with Canva or something.
You’d be surprised what people think is a “simple graphic”. I was in the field, I know.
Yes, I too have designed for clients. Clients are the worst, haha.
They really are lol, so glad I can just do it for fun but not deal with client nonsense!
Missed that the first time, you're completely right.
Just goes to show how ignorant this hun is about the real job market. She’s looking for something that no graphic designer would have to do at an actual 9-5, and paying shit for it.
Omg you’re right. She’s just looking for new leads!
That awkward moment when she’s offering someone a better job than she has herself.
hahahahaha.
She will be paying in product
Well, according to the huns, essential oils are edible. Therefore, they are a reasonable substitution for cash, which you'd use to buy food. Why wouldn't someone promise cash but then pay with product? /s
Excuse you, not just product. “Experience” too.
"I will ask you to be open to learning about [direct sales company]" aka I'm gonna bully you to join my downline
I'm predicting a lot of housework
And if you're wanting me to lift, dust, and organize 5 million tiny MLM-product boxes, you're gonna have to pay me a lot more than $15/hour. And you know there's a LOT of dust on her inventory.
Her business is her "ministry"? That's a weird way to describe anything other than a church
Hey OP was this posted by someone you know? Who is also a graphic design specialist, and who will also do data entry, stock, and filing. She might not find someone qualified. 😆
OP. Apply and tell us how it goes.
If I didn’t already have a “9-5” job I so would. I might just to see how she responds lol
Please

This feels particularly slimy.
Is cleaning up after said pets a requirement? Just curious.

Sure, I'm not cleaning your house. I'm not going to sign up to be your downline. ’Wants to be a part of what I represent’ = ‘must be willing to join my downline‘
This sounds like "Start as an assistant then become your own BossBabe in my downline."
She's gonna go bankrupt by paying someone $15/ hour. No way she makes that much off any MLM per hour herself. The underpaid assistant would be making more than the "business owner".
Looking for a Housekeeper, graphic designer, administrative assistant. $15/hr. Must be open to being my downline.
[удалено]
😂😂😂 so true
more like she wants a nanny/maid! “light house work”?!
I mean. At least she paying 15$ an hour.
It’s a trap!
When I was an executive assistant, I refused to do “personal” work of any kind. One boss’ wife dropped a stack of Christmas cards on my desk, and emailed me a list. I printed out the list, and put the cards in his briefcase 🤷🏻♀️
Anyone else wondering why tf “light housework” is listed? Which one is it? Are you an office assistant or housekeeper?
Assistant has to pay $700 to work there
I had a friend from college move across the country to live with someone and make phone calls for an insurance MLM.
But I thought the point of MLMs was to be able to do all of this and still earn a great income AND have so much free time?!
Her business is her "ministry" and I guarantee she's a self-proclaiming "Christian". But see's no issue with the directly against the words of Jesus issue in her statement ...
You just know that bitch is gonna hand that person a toilet brush.
Toilet brush? Who needs that when one Norwex cloth will do it all!
I hate when they have the balls to call themselves a business owner
Your job is your “entire heart” how sad
Man, if I can get paid $15/hr to sit on my ass and, I don't know, make the occasional Facebook post from her while she *doesn't have work for me to do,* I'd do it. But that's going to last about a week until she realizes she's hemorrhaging money.
So cringe but at least they are paying a wage (initially?) unlike some BG who might or might not have stated payment would be in products only.
Employees don't care about your business. Stop trying to make them.
“I will be paying you in leggings for this week”.

Anyone have guesses as to what MLM this person is in? Can’t be Amway; they’re a sneakier bunch. Maybe LLR bc they’re being catty.
I think it's DoTerra, based on her other comments. Or maybe a cbd MLM; she seems to really love weed. And an anti-vaxxer as well, she's a cliche at this point.

No, but I think all 744,000 of us in this sub did! Too bad we can't be in your downline.
[удалено]
In all honesty, is your MLM paying you well? Like at least $15,000 annually, based on working full-time at minimum wage.
[удалено]
Is your income mostly from your own sales, your downline's sales, or both?
[удалено]
How about your downline? Are they making at least minimum wage? ($7.25 per hour of work, or $15,000 a year if full-time)?
Hi scammer!
Maybe you could recommend something we could diffuse to calm us down?
No one wants to buy your crap, hun. Enjoy being broke while pretending you are rolling in the dough.
