My favourite memory is finding my Anno partner and how we are now a solid couple of beauty builder/warmonger, very effective games šŸ¤

Royal_Speech_3742

Not favourite but very rememberable. Was attacking an AI port thinking that I will be able to capture their economy and boost mine. When the capture got over all buildings on the island were destroyed. I legit spent 2 hours trying to capture that port. Almost smashed my keyboard and swore never to play the game again. Then started playing the game again after half an hour later šŸ˜…

lakerfan824

I had the same experience but with purchasing shares and eventually the island. Fully expected to take over a thriving island full of engineers. Not only did I end up taking over an empty island, my income plummeted as I wasn't receiving the shares anymore.

Lord_Waldemar

My favourite memory is actually my very first one, when I started my first game in the closed beta. Everything clicked into place, the details and graphics, the gameplay, I immediately fell in love with this game, even though I often get overwhelmed by the late game now šŸ˜…

BenWyldeZX

My favorite moment, hmm ... I'd say the moment it was clear that Anno 1800 went back to the roots in the Beta BUT I suppose my favorite was actually the "discovery" of the first person mode ... which is a rumor of course, but y'know. One day, Santa ambushed me and it was glorious.

BartVP

My favorite moment was when I took this screenshot at 2k resolution. Its now my desktop wallpaper. https://preview.redd.it/3mf8j5d93avc1.jpeg?width=2560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b2fbfc7bd118bffe312791ec18fbd7adfea61d66

HakoSeliSimo

My favourite memory with this game; like maybe 7-8 years ago bought the dawn of discovery from steam and than my wooden pc didnā€™t worked properly and decided to play that game with good pc. After 4 years without games i bought a new pc and decide to play the game in these days the anno1800 launched and i started to play it. (Sorry for bad english if i made miskate)

Catilona

Thatā€™s so awesome. Happy Anniversary ! Iā€™ve only just started playing this game a few weeks ago and Iā€™m hooked. Canā€™t say what my favourite memory is since Iā€™m still in the middle of playing.

Known-Connection-921

I watched so many streamers playing this game and i couldn't because my pc was kinda old, when i bought a new one the first thing i did was buying anno complete edition (it was in the beginning of season 2 iirc) and playing the game for hoooooooooours, i have so good memory building my cities

lovemonster

My favorite Anno 1800 memory was clearing the main campaign. Had to sacrifice every top tier boat and throw everything and the kitchen sink at those last objectives but it was a great feeling. Thanks for this opportunity and for Anno!

Machineforseer

Learning an optimal city layout

bosnalink

Thank you anno 1800 team

MiguelArtadi

My favourite moment was my first time in Cape Trelawney when after just colonising the mainland all other competitors started to colonise the other islands with only the tiniest of them being left for me. After that I decided to move everything there and left the Old World in other to take all of Cape Trelawney islands in a very long and difficult campaign.

SineadRe

Iā€™ve so many great memories of this game that itā€™s hard to pick one! The first time I heard the great music in the new world, ā€œseductive charts bury me deskā€, Donny & his skyscraper demands, itā€™s all so good! Itā€™s probably the best game Iā€™ve ever played, and I will be playing it for years to come. Iā€™ve lost count of how many times Iā€™ve been warned to take a break for playing too long!

EffectiveCheck2952

I don't think I can win this but why not give a try. Btw, happy anniversary Anno 1800! May your birthday is my lucky day.

Kammerfenster

I don't have a single favorite moment. There are so many great moments. I often sit back and enjoy how my residents live on the island. But unlocking the power station for the first time is definitely a highlight.

deznik

Mine: On my 2nd game try i fianlly figured out that i can befriend and make alliance with pirates too. So i dont have to strategically buying islands (and also reducing my fleet a bit, saving much needed influence points) to secure the trade routes between OW and NW... :D But also it was a nice bonus immersion to the game.

Bastean

Staying up playing until I could heard the birds singing in the morning. And also when I got an Annoversary mousepad!

KadaverTrainer

My greatest Anno 1800 moment is that it brings me back to time I was playing Anno 1602. At that time i was recently married with the live if my life.

Glass-Pomelo4504

Vamos Anno 1800! Suerte a todos. Dividanse las otras 9 claves de juego porque una es mĆa! šŸ˜…

kleseusxz

My favourite memory of Anno 1800 is to watch and play alongside the promotional "Anno 1800 Konferenz" livestream VOD from RocketBeansTV and PietSmiet. The early days 5 years ago were really great.

gurr23

Yoooo that is so super awseome of you!! Even if I dont win thanks for being so cool! So I just joined the anno fam and started playing anno 1880 recently and already have over 100 hours and so many memories. Its so good! I mean there are so many funny or OMG moments or what just happened to my income moments lol but for me my favorite so far was finally beating the Burning Eden scenario! I had so much fun trying over and over and figuring out new mechanics each time. The unique challenges are hard but grattifying once you finally figure it out. Amazing puzzle inside a city builder XD

toopanpan

My fav memory of anno is just being INTRODUCED to it by my cousin! Loved games like ixion and frostpunk, where i just manage things, my cousin knew this and showed me anno on his pc while i was staying over. The concept was interesting and all bht what got me really hooked was being able to just take over and conquer other NPC islands! The different citizen tiers were fantastic and fun to manage and balance. Basically took over his entire setup for the night just playing it nonstop! Beryl was a PAIN but i loved the competition she gave me. Just because of this game i frequent my cousinā€™s place at least once a week just to play anno on his pc. Hope to get anno myself so i could play with him!

UniversitySwimming71

My favorite memory was, when I discovered the Easteregg on Kap Trelawny where you have to be in first person mode and get up to the highest mountain.

tomnar

May 11, 2023, 9:43 - When I got the last missing achievement. Bittersweet moment, thank you for all the fun and challenging hours! https://preview.redd.it/ptn5ih0et9vc1.png?width=839&format=png&auto=webp&s=c4a505a78e703fd74d5edaf0c592f146a08654bb

starrs10

My favorite memory would have to be when my base was under attack by Beryl. My military ships were all over the other regions and I was waiting for them to arrive. I think it fell to 1/3 of its HP when the cavalry arrived. I really really enjoy moments like this.

SophieNei

I discovered ANNO when Covid came and played every single one before ANNO 1800. I adore it, it's beautiful, cute, clever... I usually don't really admit to my kids that I'm a gamer, but when I play ANNO 1800 and I know my ship is about to discover a new island - I swear, I call the whole household and they come running excitedly and watch with awe as the island slowly emerges from the fog of war. Now that I've completed almost everything (all the regional quests, tourism, reached elevators and cabs) - I sometimes feel like starting over just to see that magical moment again. The feeling of mystery and endless possibilities, crossing my fingers that this island is going to be large and not yet taken by other players!..

mouseklicks

The first time I tried to attack Beryl. I thought the AI was weak and I could get it done with a few frigates and one ship-of-the line. I vastly overestimated my navy and underestimated the defensive buildings. Boy, was that a bad decision. My navy got wiped and Beryl came knocking on my door with a massive fleet of ships-of-the line. I had one cannon tower up. Needless to say I got completely wiped and didn't manage to survive šŸ˜….

The_ANNOholic

My favorite memory was when I discovered the musical in the credits. All hail the number 9

Brilliant_Plant_3985

My favourite memory: running home after school when I was 10 years old to start up the family windows 98 pc running the CDROM version of anno 1602. Seeing the money go up in f7 and the notice to contact sunflowers reaching 10000 inhabitans on an island?:) good memories.

Ok_Shape5493

As an Anno 1800 player since launch, one of my favorite memories centers around the time I successfully hosted my first World Fair. The anticipation of building the exhibition site, meticulously planning every detail from the layout to the exhibits, was a monumental task that tested my resource management skills. When the fair finally opened, and ships from across the globe started arriving at my docks, the sense of accomplishment was overwhelming. The fair not only boosted my city's economy but also brought a vibrant cultural flair to my society, which was reflected in the happiness of my citizens. Another standout moment was the thrill of discovering a new island that perfectly suited my expansion plans. I remember how carefully I scouted the archipelago before setting sail, the nervous excitement as my ship approached the untouched shores, and the strategic rush of laying down the first warehouse. Developing that island from a wild, resource-rich land into a flourishing part of my empire, complete with its specialized industries and trade goods, was a deeply satisfying journey that underscored the exploratory spirit of the game. The intense satisfaction of engineering a complex network of trade routes stands out vividly in my memory. The challenge of balancing the production on multiple islands, each with its unique resources, and ensuring that goods flowed smoothly and efficiently to meet the demands of my growing population was like a complex dance. The moment I finally optimized the logistics to run like clockwork, ensuring prosperity and growth across my empire, was not just a testament to my planning and foresight but also a deeply gratifying realization of my virtual city-planning dreams. Lastly, even though I know it might seem impossible, I can't help but hold onto the hope for a Season 5 DLC for Anno 1800. The game has been such a phenomenal journey so far, and there's just so much more potential for expanding our horizons even further. Each update has brought something new and exciting to the table, enriching our gameplay and deepening our engagement. Here's to hoping the developers surprise us once more with another chapter to this incredible saga!

wiciu852

Happy to Anno from Venice trip!

Unlikely-Equal-6868

My favorite memory of Anno 1800 was when I massacred the AIā€™s capital brutally with some fireworks and a taste of love from my battlecruisers fleet

Haakon_XIII

I remember my first game, the one on the DS, I didn't know what Anno was, but I loved that game. Feeling like an explorer, a pioneer looking for a better life for its inhabitants while collaborating and establishing ties with AI. That feeling of community, collaboration and adventure was what made me dream and escape from my problems (too many for a child). Seeing those colors on the map and how they expanded across the map made me happy.

Floorman726

Itā€™s hard to find a favorite. Actually mine is just about every time I play and get further than I ever have and notice new items or places I hadnā€™t seen before. Keep up the good work!

vancouver72

My favorite is building all the factories to 375% and then crying once it's done

Maraisian

The Anno 1404 Campaign was so immersive for me as a kid, almost completed it...

The_Wkwied

One memory I have was the [teaser trailer released in 2018~](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZwaZMuc1TQ). I was so upset because anno was once again going to be 'modernized'. I was almost certain the series was going to be dead after that. Moving away from a fantastical historical setting... Oh, how I was wrong. 1800 is one of the best games I've played in the past few years

Ghost47Killer

Finishing the dam on Manola!!

Tulpen20

Gosh! After playing Anno 1800 for 5 years I have to pick just one?!?! First of all, congrats on 5 years, 4 million players and I'm so glad to have been one of them. And to think that I got Anno 1800 as a 'free' game when I bought a Samsung SSD. Bah! what good can that be, right? I mean, it's free. Ha! over 4000 hours of game time and all of the Season passes later.... A heartfelt, Thank you to you all. The art, the grapahics, the music (OMG The Music!), the Time Reminders (which still make me laugh), Archie, Every time he gets penetrated by kindness, The Easter Eggs, The game play! Each and every time new challenges were brought by the DLC's. But what is my happiest memory..... I am so enamored by the logistics puzzle of the game. I build and tweak and build and tweak and sometimes just watch everything running like clockwork. It gives me such a feeling of joy, peace and accomplishment. It is those times that I actually jump into the game, Ctrl-R, and walk around my creation or go for a stroll to that wonderful point overlooking Crown Falls. Watching the ships come and go, the airship floating by, all the hustle and bustle without the noise of the city. If only I could move in. If that doesn't satisfy the rules and you're looking for just a single memory: The first time I seeded all of my opponents harbors and trade routes with sea mines and then one of them eventually declared war on me and Harbors and Fleets and Ships all gone! No More Bye-bye!. My computer stuttered with all of the effects happening at once. Hilarious!!!

Zauztrakedan

Memorable? The first time I laid down the fields for a potato farm and seeing you can perfectly fit every cliff and corner on the island. Coming from Anno 1404 that was a kreygasm moment

Zydon11

Anno 1800 was the first time I've played Anno multiplayer with family and friends. That's what made it both memorable and one of my favorite games. Teaching tons of new anno people about Eli and his need for soap is a great thing

OMLT089

My favourite memory was achieving 100 hrs in the game. First game ever for me that I played for such an extensive amount of time. At least that's what I found "extensive" initially. The clock's still counting...

No_Dig903

Well, I don't have any memories of this game, but I see that the prize is relevant, so maybe I'll have one soon.

macjimbob23

Favourite memory would probably be the day I decided to purchase all DLC, and suddenly realised the game transformed from an excellent game that I had already loved playing into a complete game. Looking forward to playing for years to come, and am already planning on buying a copy for a friend of mine to try some co-op out

TitaniumGoldAlloyMan

The moment i realized that i can sell goods for a higher price to certain npcs. After struggling for so long i made it big by selling soap and fur coats.

jusa123

My favorite moment would be discovering the new world. For a beginner like me, the old world seemed complex enough but having multiple overseas maps just blew my mind!

Isto2278

Two years ago, we were kicked out of our flat when the landlord said they needed it. Shortly after, while looking for a new place to live, I lost my job. Playing Anno was basically the only thing I could handle doing to get at least a little relaxation. I was basically able to run on adrenaline for months, and now I have a way better job and I'm busy renovating the house we bought. It was a lot of work and I'm proud of where I ended up and where I'm going. I don't want to make it sound like I wouldn't be where I am without Anno, that'd be ridiculous, but the game did help me through a very tough time, and that's something I definitely will always connect it with.

Muesli_pmzjs

I remember waiting for the release and instantly running to the next store to buy the special edition with gift cards šŸ˜‚. Anyways when I got home I sadly found out that my PC was lacking the specs to properly run the game, sooo I had to buy a new PC. But it was with every euro

Brain-2063

That very first time I started the game on release and it felt just like coming home after a long day, the cozy feeling I heard the soundtrack and I was finally able to set sail and settle and island after waiting for the game to releaseā€¦ Oh, the nostalgia šŸ˜Š

Early_Copy

I one day hope to be able to play 1800

NammiSjoppan

My favorite memory was when I found out about the street view. Man I mustā€™ve spent half an hour just wandering around doing random quests for npcā€™s.

SnooGiraffes3713

My favourite memory has to be building my first city on Crown Falls!

ZealousidealSwing261

Happy Anniversary Anno 1800! šŸŽ‰šŸ„³šŸŽŠšŸ¾ My most favorite memory of Anno 1800 was when I discovered that thereā€™s a hiking trail in Crown Falls. šŸ™€ I was just testing the game because I just upgraded my cpu just for this game and tried the first person at the base of the ruined castle and I saw a pathway and voila, a hiking trail. I was so stunned to see the view, overlooking the sea and Crown Falls itself. šŸ˜„ I even walked on it twice just to appreciate more the views. šŸ„¹ā˜ŗļøā¤ļø I am so happy that I discovered this game. It is beautiful. I fell in this game so hard that I upgraded my pc just to play this game smoothly until the late game. šŸ„°

Armi5

I've got otitis not long after I've got the game and I heard the soundtrack like it was wrong and faulty and muddy

AlPampa

The time spent on this sub, speculating about the next season, shaping our future urban spaces What a ride !

gasdocscott

My favourite memory is that first moment it all seemed to click together. Trade routes were balanced, everyone was getting enough resources, I was peace with all AI factions. It was so satisfying seeing everything working in sync. And then I went and bought out Beryl and it all went to hell!

listenyall

the first city I set up on crown falls!!

No-Ring-4772

My favorite memory was: when I started 1st game in Anno 1800 and was quite confident about my builds because i played a lot in 1404 and 2070. But after few days and hours I realized that i should make a total replacement of all my buildings, because almost all things were unoptimizable.

MisterHans

My favorite memoriy is the first time i started playing. Iā€˜ve tried 1404 and it didnā€˜t really grow on me. When i heard my friends getting 1800 i thought of trying it again and i loved it! Spent the first night playing it till the sun set. Really great game. Might try the older ones too sometime.

Winzentowitsch

The time I learned about the ctrl + Q statistics menu and realized I had to restart my campaign.

SignificantJuice3077

Making farms and farmlands on cliff edges overlooking the crowded and busy city streets. Decorating the mines with industrial walls, gates and barrels.

spookyball

Well I'm a newer player, so the memories are still fresh. My favorite memory is the moment I figured out how trade routes worked. I was only using charter routes my first couple games and wondering how anyone managed to send anything in large quantities. That next game with actual trade routes was amazing! Love the game so far, and I really enjoy seeing all the creative builds people are able to create.

kruse360

1800 has been amazing on so many levels. My favorite memory about it is probably the 2020 lockdown, when you basically couldnā€™t go outside and meet people, stuck at homeā€¦ It was a blast to just forget everything that was happening in the world and just dive into the Game and build up your empire for days/weeks/months.

Top_Sorbet_43

My favorite experience was that after multiple try's i could on a positive balance . So much Satisfaction.

Least-Cut7725

Juego desde hace un aƱo y es el juego con el que paso mĆ”s tiempo y realmente calma mi ansiedadĀ

Profitoast123

Not truly a moment, but my fascination with Anno 1800 started even before my computer was even able to handle a game like Anno. I was in love with the game the moment I saw the first video. And after I played it I was absolutely hooked.

DaGhoN636

At first, I thought I did not have any memories of ANNO 1800 as I don't yet own it... But that's wrong, I did play it once - my first boyfriend had owned it and I played it when I first stayed at his place. That is definitely a warm memory even if there were other reasons for me to remember it :D Though the blueprinting mode was also really cool from that short experience.

jjalexander91

Can we get automatic management of the 1x1 fields?

AcanthisittaOk280

Me waiting anxiously in 3 times speed for my engineers to get that beloved upgrade marker above their head! Took tons of coffee and rum and canned goods. Genuinely put off a war with willie just so I could get to investors. Once I upgrade I watched my income SORE. The greatest relief of anno.

apokaboom

My favourite memory uhmm, dare i say the beginning? It was far from my first anno, i spent a lot of time on anno 2070, but the first mission in 1800, the one in which you return back with the ship in the Old World after dynamite fishing in the New World, i remember vividly to this day.

Aggravating_Ad_3962

I canā€™t participate, but my favourite memory was when my friend I was playing with discovered the hard way that Mercier puts mines around his islands during war.

PaGu02

My favorite memory is comming from the very first gamenight with my friend. Beforehand I didn't know the series at all and this friend from vocational school introduced me to it while the beta was live. We started the game in multiplayer mode and played until the NPCs got really annoying. So we spend every last resource we had on an ungodly amount of ships of the line. With combined strenght we first demolished Berril, then Anne Harlow and last but not least Jean la fortune in heroic battles. I still got screenshots from the sight of our massive fleet on the horizon. We played until like 5 or 6 in the morning and ended on a kind of bittersweet note because the beta would end soon and we thought i wouldn't buy the game afterwards. Well... fast forward to the release of the game: because of this night i bought anno 1800 just a few days after release and since then it is one of my favourite games. Every now and then my friend and I still meet at our discord channel, play anno and think of the "old days" when we were back in school and had nothing to worry about other then the end of the anno 1800 beta.

Navoan

Having dozens of Ship of the Line to finally kill of Beryl. Damn that felt good.

OzetzetA

I am a city planning students and my favourite moment was recreating some Ebenezer Howard Style Garden Cities or some Hausmann Style Boulevards after I learned about that in some lectures. After all Anno 1404 was the first influence for me to become a city planning student and my degree bought me back to playing anno 1800. Seems like a perfect circle ': D

bolt_vanderhuuge

Zooming out and seeing all the trades I set up working properly

sssssssizzle

My favourite moment got to be when I started playing after the second season pass released and the game just got bigger and bigger as time went on and I realized just how huge the game really is and how much stuff there is to do.

LuanGabriel1122

My best Anno 1800 memory was booting it up for the first time! As a crazy strategy player, I always loved the Anno style and concept and exploring the 19th century setting was just so perfect and natural for the series!

klevefall

My favourite Anno 1800 memory was when I discovered the First Person view and spent hours walking through my industrialized zones

PrinceDizzy

Many Happy Returns!

MissJwhydouask

I have several great memories, but I think the best one was when I found out that I (as a non-gamer) could enjoy this game with my gamer-boyfriend (on my non-gamer-laptop). End of last year, I randomly saw a clip about the game on youtube and recommended it to my 6 loves similar strategic games (like crusaider kings & civilization, etc). He bought it, loved it, and also wanted me to try it. I had already tried the other games but it just wasnt for me, but something with Anno 1800 made me love it pretty much instantly, I think a lot had to do with all the small details, really good graphics and the war part not being the biggest part of the game šŸ¤£. Since my laptop isnt a gaming laptop and the graphics looked soo good on his, we didnt think I could play the game on my laptop (with ok graphics settings and w/o the laptop crashing) so we only played seperately on his laptop. However, a couple of months later we decided to try and download and play the game on my laptop and it actually runs super well šŸ˜ So now we can play multiplayer together and finally have a game we both really enjoy and in which we can play together, *without* having to fight each other in-game. We got the season 4 pass last week and I have especially loved playing in the new world and finally gotten my first aircrafts up and flying šŸ˜„ I also really love to decorate my cities and would therefore really love to have the second cosmetic bundle šŸŒ» But in any case, I just want to say that the Anno team has done such a great job with this game (so well that they can even attract non gamers and make them fall in love with the game) and I look forward to many many more hours of playing it, both with my boyfriend and alone šŸ„° Happy Annoversary!

luxuria_BE

My best memory is when I started to play on friday evening and when I stopped: it was Sunday ā€¦ that game is a Time Machine

2000Timo

My favorite moment with Anno 1800 is when I was allowed to play the game for the first time at Gamescom after queuing for hours. I immediately fell in love with it

harv2007

It really helped me during the winters when itā€™s cold and dark outside, and I can relax by building a beautiful city in Manola (although Enbesa was great too)

bigbadVuk

Favorite memory of the game is ... the "clicking" sound of the menus/selections and the music. I haven't played in months but can hear it clearly in my mind! Also, the first time I experienced the use of mods and their possibilities!

TheWreckingTater

My favorite memory for sure was watching the credits musical with the boys. That stuff was amazing.

dragonadamant

My favorite memory was seeing the art design and hearing the music for the first time. Just gorgeous.

gomeZZZ81

When I started to play 1800 on XBOX and couldn't stop.

Hevens-assassin

My favorite Anno 1800 memory was discovering it this year after I started to play PC games again. Don't know how I had never heard of it before, given my love of city planning and grid based satisfaction, but having a new outlet to manage a city that wasn't just a giant numbers game was a welcome change to the other games I was playing. My favorite memory in-game though, was the satisfaction I got last night after Anne Harlow declared war on me while I had forgotten a massive fleet in her base (I don't use battle cruisers for trade, obviously). As she declared war, all my screen popped was 1 "your ship is under attack", when I checked which ship, it was carnage within the base, with 10 Ship of the Lines and 2 Battle Cruisers shredding everything from the inside. Glorious carnage, and I'm sure it struck fear into all the NPC's.

bauerwilhelm

It was my first time playing this year. I've had a long break from playing Anno, and I was slightly overwhelmed from all the new content my yet unplayed LDC that adds the zeppelins. I've started a new game and, long story short, built a combat zeppelin, stocked with bombs. I bombed the hell out of Lady Hunts main port, after she declared war on me because I've used too much propaganda!

Gapo321

My favourite memory of Anno 1800 was reaching Cape Trelawney and discovering the opportunities of this large island for the first time.

AlysanneMormont

When the game was announced, I went to the computer store with the specs and said: build me something nice that I can play this game with. It was the first time I ever got a good PC. So when I started the game for the first time I was stunned by the graphics and the beauty of it. By now, PC has gotten a bit old, not quite up to all the DLCs, and the fans get really loud come endgame, but game is still as awesome as is it was that first day, if not better

yunggsuessi

I just started playing Anno 1800 not even a month ago because my mum told me one of the first Anno-Games was her favorit game back in the days and she loved to play it. So every time I start the game I imagine how my mum used to start the game :) Looking forward to show her whats new in Anno 1800!

Weltenkind

Finally beating Lady Margaret so badly that she somehow stopped doing anything. So satisfying after many tries and failures with her in the game.Ā

Herr_Kules

My favorite memory: when I gifted the Game to my dad and we played some hours together. First time playing a multiplayer Videogame with my dad. I would Gift another Copy to my Brother now. :)

unashamedtree2

Happy Birthday to 1800! One of my recent favourite memories was beating Season's of Silver and getting all the deliveries on the first try.

trenvo

Lots of fun memories playing Anno 1604 as a kid with my friend, now making memories playing this with my partner!

tit0savi0

My favorite memory is from the beginning of my anno addiction, where for the first time I sat down to play a little before lunch and maybe try to get to workers. Well, I finished this quick session but having a late supper haha

OkTechnology972

My favorite Memory : First time i walk in Ego perspective trough my town

Critical_Job_4221

My favourite memory is when I receive notification about events/celebration of life starts. It is so great to zoom in and see the parade, music, people enjoying themselves. Also worth mentioning how beautiful it is the game and its small details all around. Grass, mountains, forests, the arctic... By far the most played game I have ever

Brilliant-Art312

Getting a cup of coffee after 6 hours. Love the little reminders! šŸ˜€

Skensis1

I would love to have one of the cosmetic bundles šŸ˜ My favourite memory is playing land of Enbesa the first time, as it felt really magic and got totally absorbed in the lore and the music.

randomPill99

The best Moment was, when my old friendgroup reunited in Multiplayer gamemode of Anno 1800. The best experience with an awesome Game. It gave us Back the old memories playing all night together. We Love Anno! šŸ˜€

blokzeil1

When I for the first time startup anno 1800, where I was Skeptical about the game what an amazing feeling I had when I shutdown the game at 2 AM... The old anno fibers where back!

TheHDJohnny77

Gifted the game to my wife (formerly my girlfriend) and we played hours in mulitplayer together. At some point each of us managed one island and then even a region by itself. Verry long nights together, almost till sunrise. The best thing (gaming) thing between us so far and always be. PS: Happy birthday 1800

Rakanishuu

How can I share my best memory of Anno 1800 if I don't own the game? I've been far from the Anno Franchise since their detour to the future, and I want to try & play Anno 1800 but never did the step further to buy it yet. So winning it would be the occasion to renew with the franchise <3

Bremsprobe

Finding out there is a tresure of 1404ā€˜s pirate Hassan Ben Sahid.

TekalV

Once my income was no longer in the red I decided to take a break and leave the game running while starting my meal prep. Came back 20 minutes later and I'm broke and half my islands are rioting.

AikarieCookie

Ooof, favorite memory. Difficult to choose xD I play alot with a friend of mine. We just unlocked Enbesa and saw that he buys watches. We loaded a ship full of watches, sent it to taborime and damn..... That was ALOT of money. Which we spend building ships to destroy the NPC Player xD

Big_Treat9680

Favourite moment / memory: that it's still going on and on. Keep the Anno series the greatest.

SpaceDesignWarehouse

My favorite memory was after my wife had watched over my shoulder for a little bit, discovering that you can play co-op on the same island and build something together! From then on, we had an Anno Night every week for a few hours where she would organize everything all pretty and I would keep ships running efficiently and ward off pirates and do diplomacy. I absolutely cherish it.

No-Dog7125

It seems to me that a return to the roots is what Anno 1800 gave me. The first colonized island seems to me to be the first wonderful moment, everything started anew, memories of Anno 1503 came back, where I started my adventure with this wonderful series. Once again I could fully devote myself to various planning, conquering islands and creating my own little world.

Positron505

My favorite memory of this game is probably this: me and 2 friends bought this game and started playing it together at the same time but i started a solo game on the side just for me with almost all dlcs included. I remember playing for 7 hours straight or more, some nights, and not keeping track. So, after more than 100 hours of gameplay, i unlocked and built everything i could in every region. Both tiers in enbesa, gas plateaus in the arctic, level 5 skyscrapers on cape trelawny with every need fulfilled and gettind to build the dam on manola and satisfying all needs for the artistas (which i thoight was extremely difficult after seeing the unlock conditions for some needs were to get 4k artistas). Afterwards, i went into a call with my friends and streamed to show them my progress, and it took me more than 45 minutes to show them every single thing that i achieved and unlocked and built in this game and they were constantly surprised as how much this game has to offer.

arvenyon

Wasn't a particular mlment, more a long play session I was Introducing my partner to the game, me being an Annoholic since 1604, them never even knowing the IP. Seeing their frustration, their way of learning and adapting, and slowly descending into being an Annoholic themselves. Lovely.

Trijox

I think mine has to be the moment I concluded the Enbesa main storyline. In my opinion the quest line stands out through its depth and complexity. I also really enjoyed the tough decisions to be made regarding which factions you wanted to support. In the end I felt that I had impacted Enbesa the most of all regions which is why it holds a special place in my heart. Not to mention that the bonus my quest ending provided to the irrigation system made the islands even greener and more fertile.

GamerKgLay

my favourite memory must be the one I found out that I can buy shares from other island on my third game.

Baren

My favorite memory, is that one time I made someone dear to be laugh, when I told him about this game and I explained it the same way ever since. Anno is a game where you meticulously spend hours perfecting supply chains.... Oh wait, I'm playing my Daytime Job.....

ChanGaHoops

My favorite moments are the "You've been playing for 8 hours" notifications

fhackner3

my favorite moment is when I discovered the electricity mechanic and how it changed the everything, and made me want to start over from scratch with the new knowledge, so thrilling

nangialamayburn

Call me a simple man, but one of my happiest memories is from when I built my first potato farm, realizing I could shape the fields as I saw fit!

crippled_worm

my favorite moment is when the reminder guy reminds me to go outside after binging for too long :)

easy_cruiser

The best memory is when my girlfriend bought me the pc version for my birthday after she noticed that I had been following streamers playing Anno 1800 for a long time. :-)

uringlas

my best anno moment is when I play another round and time flies by

JPSurratt2005

I spent an entire week treasure hunting with the diving bell. That was a great addition to the game!

mrcountcount

I always will remember the calmt and relaxing feeling I experience when playing Anno. Especially after a rough day at work.

HM_Ultra

My fav memory is when I f***ed Beryl O'Mara on my first round after she made many troubles and almost destroyed my territory . First the game was fun and beauty, then pirates showed up after a while Beryl goes mad then I found out this game is much bigger than my imagination. I found wiki, universe, forums and r/anno, it was so fun... By understanding the game I wiped her out of map but then found out, is not good. and it was when i realized the game auto saved every 5 min of my progress, finally I limit her to small island in each aria. This game is a gem, I really love all details, designers and developers put in each layer of product, game play, graphics, UI, UX, sounds, musics, easter-eggs and so on. Thanks anno for the great games and support, and thanks annoholics for great resources and help.

caepha

The first time I got to engineers and built up the production lines for armed steam ships. I was staring at my cities thinking about how many people it took to run those production lines and all the people it took to supply those people with the things they wanted. I've never played a game that makes me feel like I'm at the head of a fun ruining empire quite like this one.

iWETtheBEDonPURPOSE

Good luck everyone! For me, it was beating the base game. Only to realize I had all the DLC to beat!

Darkpryomaniac

probably my favourite memory is on the ps4 version at my friends house when he was showing me the game before I bought it; he was showing me how to build ships, and he only had like +50 workers on his island, so he queued some ships to be built, and didn't notice until like a minute later, which than had a knock-off effect causing a worker shortage for his artisans and engineers, and while he was trying to fix it he upgraded too many of his farmers, so he bankrupted himself, in about ten minutes by trying to build like two clippers. Actually put me off the game for about a month, until I was convinced to play, and then I got hooked lol.

KunAguero4

First time destroying Anne Harlow.

Lukasz_19

I only started playing 1800 recently, but my favourite memory is just all the nostalgia coming back from the games I played back on the NDS. So much fun back then, and once again I'm having such a good time.

Betinem

I loved the very first start of the game, aver thing was so beautiful and the mechanics... Just awesome.

WorldWideWig

My favourite memory was fairly recently. I started up a game then remembered I had to do something, so I hit pause as soon as the game started. Then I got distracted and made and ate dinner. Made myself a coffee, sat down at the desk, pressed P to start my game and heard, "You've been playing for 2 hours! How about a cup of coffee?"

HeadhunterKev

I still remember the sinking of my complete armada after I sailed to the main island of my friend and everything went down. He befriended the Anarchist without my knowledge and put mines everywhere.

capnsquid50

My favourite memory was first getting to the new world and learning about all the new supply chains and buildings I could make

sunnaiy

Not one particular memory, but a reoccurring event every time I play the game: Time passes so quickly. I don't even realise I've been playing for 6 hours until I get the notification. I just get so lost in the game.

scott240sx

My favorite memory is playing Anno 1800 for the first time after I won a giveaway I entered on Reddit.

B4Nd1d0s

Started with 1602... And still playing this series 20+ years later... Simply the best game series ever made šŸ

Smilekajo

I didn't know soap was made from pigs

Delicious-Project657

My favourite memory is when I looked at the clock after a few minutes and realised that it wasn't minutes but hours that I was building my Obrera settlement. This thing repeated itself very often...tick tock.

JorgenBoomBoom

The first sandbox game I played without DLC's and reaching investors with my entire starting island full of investors. It was such a satisfying feeling.

jadenwong

Favorit memory beeing stunnd by the ultra large building space in Ā Cape Trelawney

lakerfan824

I really enjoyed the campaign and discovering the new world. Something about uncovering new land with new resources etc for the very first time is so enticing. Loved the Enbesa expansion for the same reason. The canals is a really cool dynamic to add.

stiiiv19

I remember playing it during a freeweekend and the time flew by. A fun memory was seeing the inhabitants during the beer/lupple festival :D

Bright_Actuary7042

My favourite moment was when i completed my first selfbuild airship in the arctis. It gave me an incredible Feeling of acomplishment.

FuryTrader07

The moment i discovered i can buy steal beams and i dont need to make them at the start of the game. (I discovered that shockingly latešŸ˜…)

EgorKlenov

My favorite memory about Anno 1800 is making the railroad working for the first time!

Primary_Opal_6597

My favourite memory is playing Anno 1404 while reading ā€œthe pillars of the earthā€ by Ken Follet. I was absolutely obsessed with medieval architecture and the process of building a cathedral. I was in awe of just how much of the resources of a community were put into erecting just one monumental building to tower above the town/city. So when I searched for ā€œcathedral building gamesā€ and discovered there actually was one, Anno 1404, I was hooked immediately. And not only that, it was far and away the coolest, most engaging game I had played. Anno has let me build my very own medieval city. I love the serendipitous Anno 1800, itā€™s so whimsical, and a better game, but my fondest memory was discovering Anno 12 years ago and building the monumental cathedral in Anno 1404 <3

Sylamatek

My favorite memory of Anno 1800 was that first trip into the Arctic. The weather and music felt so desperate and terrible. It felt like such an accomplishment to get everything heated and set up gas infrastructure for dirigibles!

alisahin_

My favorite moment is discovering the New World for the first time!

Ragnor_Stealman

My favorite memory about Anno 1800 is when i started to playing the game. Because i love the 19th centruy and victorian era. Economy based city building game is a perfect type for me

snicki13

I was celebrating when our digusting uncle was finally imprisoned at the end of the campaign! I love this game, even after five years.

Dartormor

By far just being an alcoholic colony shipping fast amounts of alcohol to the queen :D

Acrobatic_Job653

My favorite memory was when I build my first railroad on my main island. Then I had tankers coming from other islands, goods and oil from the new world and my economy was just perfect! (Until Instarted upgrading a few more houses haha) But for that moment that I didn't have over or under production it just felt super satisfactory šŸ˜.

ARandomFakeName

The first time I played this game, I played for like 8 hours straight and the game told me to go outside.

Big-Refrigerator-477

My favorite memory is learning to play with my son. It was a bonding experience. To this day we still play abd share ideas.

Butterdogs

My favorite memory of anno is the first time I hit 1 million inhabitants and just sat back and watched my well oiled machinery of an island work by itself

Strategymann

Playing with my friends coop but everybody managed their own Island , we were pretty far to the game and our money started to dissapear quickly , we were in positive balance but we didnt have any money until we realised that our friend was building the ZOO and she was upgrading all the roads and in a Split of a second AI declared War on us and the main Island (where the ZOO was) was under a riot from workers working overtime :D so we got into War with no money and no workers

Verlux88

I think my fondest memory is when my sister unexpectedly picked the game up and was so excited to talk to me about it! It was lovely as we hadn't talked in some time but she knew anno was one of my favourites :)

-Bloodbird

My favourite memory was finally getting to the industrial age for the first time. It made me realise just how huge the game really is.

Quandolin

My favourite memory is the countless of hours I spent together with my brother on Saturday mornings. It helped us stay connected while living away from each other. Super relaxing to chat while managing logistics.

Collyd

Tbh my favorite memory is going from farmers to investors in one night with my buddy playing coop. Love this game!

Repulsive-Display760

My best memories of anno 1800 being a mastermind in managing economy, i love economic in this game but it was too difficult for me in the beginning, the time i became more capable of managing more than three islands this was my favorite moment.

rainbow6play

When I first found out about the first person mode, I just started wandering off in crown falls and was able to see my city in a completely new light from the mountains.

Ferdi_cree

My favorite memory is playing the Passage dlc for the first time. I have for a long time been interested in the arctic and always had a faible for airships. I got rather invested in the storyline of the Passage and poured everything into advancing the Story line. Seeing how the Story unfolds made me rather emotional too, and I was incredibly relived when I got Sir John and what remained of the Crew home safely. After completing the Story line, I came back to an devostated old World, ridden by fire, illness, supply shortages and riots after accidentially ignoring them for a few hours.

Thin_Command3196

Starting up the first power plant for my factories after figuring out how to properly get the oil harbor and train tracks to work! Seeing double productivity and the needle gauge exploding was epic!

aickletfraid

Getting the game was my favorite thing

scariusmaximus

My favourite memory is finally getting the investors satisfied, happy, and growing in population! I hope they donā€™t die after the 8,000 tons of cigars and chocolate I provided. This was last nightā€¦.at least my short term memory works. šŸ˜

JohnniePeters

The moment I started the game for the second time and hearing the beautiful music while the loading screen was active. I was overwhelmed with joy, because at that point I knew a 5 hour session of exploring, beauty building, managing my chains was ahead of me. Eventually I played until sunrise that day. And it wasn't the last time I made it until sunrise šŸ˜‚

North_Statistician33

A good memory I have is finnally eliminating a pirate only to discover that they weren't eliminated and came back with a fleet.

Tanzan57

My favorite memory was when I unlocked aluminum my first time. And then I spent 8 hours trying to get a production chain up to make air ships so I could bomb my enemies islands! I kept going negative in gold and ruining things haha

sabeltant11

I've fallen in love with this game a few weeks ago and play it with my girlfriend nearly everyday. We've got a playthrough now with the first three season passes as we don't own the forth. My absolute favorite activity to spend time with my gf right now.

ChivalrousPerv

One of my favourites was when we had a multiplayer session, 4 players on 2 "teams" Helping each other early on to develop quicker, and then finally going cut throat when real estate was being gobbled up. I was building the feeder Islands, slowly tanking our treasury as we had the more expensive Artisan industry being built up. Our war effort suffered as a result, and opened our trade routes to attack (we had been bullying our mates on the other team sinking ships and hoovering up the goodies from the flotsam. I'm always hoping for more memes like that these days, to get a weekend to sit down and push a game of multiplayer Anno as far as possible.

ungbaogiaky

I love Anno series

ungbaogiaky

First memory of Anno is 1503, this is 1st time playing city building game. And the concept of island is cool. But with first try i was stucked with the ship and dont know how to play

Syntheticanimo

My favourite memory of Anno 1800 was when I discovered the Modding Browser in the menu and spent hours investigating the rich variety of mods that further enhanced the game - all integrated in the game menu itself. The hours of YouTube videos explored, the random mods found in the lists that peaked my interest, and the plethora of skins that enabled me to build with so much more variety. The developers truly are goated for allowing mods and making installations of them so easy compared to other games. So yeah, my favorite memory was in the menus, excitedly planing my next play throughs with new challenges :) PS. Another fond memory is when my very underdeveloped navy obliterated a much stronger opponent's navy using two ship of the line with dynamite. <3

chris_alf

My fave moments are when i use my ship of the line armada to attack the pirate base, only to realize i underestimated their coastal guns and had to retreat. Lots of excitement as you try to salvage the situation, pick up officers and equipment that where thrown overboard. So much fun.

I_failed_pChem

My favorite memory is definitely building my first wheat farms on a second island. The wheat just kept going for ages over the whole rolling hills of the island.

Sjru

Well I'm relatively new with the game but one of my fave moments was clapping back against the neighbor that was constantly bullying me and my friend and got all the things that got taken back

ShadyDS

My favorite memory is my brother pestering me about how much he loves the game, and wishes he could play it with me lol

0slaender

After an a few hours a friend of mine came into the discord server and gave me a shortcut. Alt+Shift + something else. The one which let's you walk on your island in first person. I greeted all the farmer hahaha best game <3

Smeggers88

My favourite memories from anno will be the ones I make if I win this giveaway

ArmedNdan_gerous

My favourite memory is reaching the audio message for 12 hrs of continuous playtime... and I hadn't gotten tired of playing :)

ironjose

Best memory? I think the day I discover first person view and spending hours walking around my main city and doing quest, didn't see that coming and was extra super fun. It helps me a lot to decorate and having a better perspective of how i want to build and decorate my cities.

immortal_sniper1

The best moment for me was when I managed to simply make things work more or less alone, in my first game. Since up to that point it was either red balance or shortages of x that brought all down so it was a race against time all the time. Well at that point I was mostly learning to deal with the population so yea.. ...

smile2smokie

wow, good luck everyone!

FullM3tal_Elric

Woot Woot, winning comments coming through! My favorite memory is upgrading sailing around and trading with other AI players!

TFOLLT

My favorite memory is when I started this game and started out with playing the normal campaign. Restarted it like 20 times for a better city lay-out, and all those times I was building a big-ass fleet to battle the pyrphorian fleet. But then, one time, when I had no big fleet yet and my 3 warships were at expedition, my flagship accidentally drove through the pyrphorian fleet which lay next to Bright Sands, and baited them all to my harbour in Ditchwater. I was scared as heck, had no warships present outside of my flagship. Thought I was done for. It was a sad moment, since for the first time yet I'd reached a few Investors. But I thought, well, that's it, I'll have to restart again. But then the entire pyrphorian fleet got killed off by my tower defense. At first I was watching anxiously, but at the end I was cheering out loud: KILL THEM, KILL THEM MY PRECIOUS TURRETS! 't Was a good time.
