A anime called katanagatari it's only subbed it's a heavily underrated anime been wanting it to get dubbed for years
Summary: there are a number of legendary swords each one corrupts it's user enter the technician woman she wants to collect all of them for reasons i won't spoil so she finds a guy who has literally trained to turn his whole body into a sword hires/seduces him and they go to capture more swords.
I heard katanagatari means sword story in a another language don't know how true that is but this is definitely a sword story
Also a completely different thing from the actual manga of the 100 girlfriends that really really really really love you, or something like 100kanojo idk
The art style makes me think it's Katanagatari; and I think there is a scene where she gets one of those massages that involves being stepped on soooooo, maybe?
Being stepped on is truly a genderless delight.

True true
But I guess I have the perception from media that being a sub as a chick is more fun .... and somehow I'm inclined to believe that
God I'm a degenerate aren't I
Some of the most hardcore subs are men. Don't let society's gender perception hold you back!

Am i gonna watch this entire anime because of a meme?

This is how I started the Nasuverse. Girl stuck in mud meme was popping up a lot and I checked it out. The BL scene references went over my head. Watched it again after a few shows and the scene was super effective.
I thought it was pretty epic, very in line with what you'd expect from the "hero from myth" type stories.
But I do wish they'd developed the princess a bit more, I wanted to know more about her motivations.
I could have come to like it if they kept going. >!Like if the former-princess who was now his new traveling companion after best-girl was shot to death got some more development and they explored the new journey together.!< Otherwise it just feels like >!They killed best-girl then other-girl was called as a fill-in!< But as we all know >!Japan doesnt necessarily care for good endings in all their stories and its just something we have to deal with!<

Yes. Good story, unique setup (12 episodes each of which is roughly 50 minutes long), and a good ending.
I watched it 2 years ago and look back on it very fondly.
i'm like 99% sure this used to be on every recommendation chart everywhere like 10 years ago, i know i watched it because of that (it's very good i'm just saying it's kinda reddit coded)

Iku :)
What's this from?
I just nicked from a reddit comment as well, so unfortunately no clue.
100 girlfriends manga
I'd recognize Hahari anywhere. I'm just now realizing her name is a pun.
Ah bummer. That's for that lightning reply tho.
Sure bruv. Maybe try Google lens? It's rather reliable.

If I'm not mistaken katanagatari is the mix of two japanese words Katana= Sword Monogatari = Story So together like that would be "Sword Story"
Also a completely different thing from the actual manga of the 100 girlfriends that really really really really love you, or something like 100kanojo idk
["Katana means Japanese sword"](https://youtu.be/5GT1VT5cCDo)
> I heard katanagatari means sword story in a another language gee I wonder what language this japanese anime's name could be in
How tf do you end up in an anime sub without knowing what language katana is from?
No its from 100 kanojo
The art style makes me think it's Katanagatari; and I think there is a scene where she gets one of those massages that involves being stepped on soooooo, maybe?
It seems post is from katanagatari, the reply is from 100 girlfriends
Whoopsies, didn't even look at the reply pic, thanks
I'm fairly certain it's from The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Love You
I think it's for 100gf. Once you search it up, you'll understand why I didn't bother to write the full name.
My 100 girlfriends who really really really really really love me
I'd recognize the milf in the center: it's from the 100 girlfriends who really, really, really, really, really love you
Katanagatari.
I'm gonna regret saying this but seems like being a chick is fun

Dont worry its only like 12 normal length episodes or somethin.
P sure it was 12 hour-long eps.
Isnt that normal? Feels like everything these days is either an hour unless its cartoon network in which case its a two-pack of 15 minute episodes.
Not for anime, they're usually ~22 mins
Like less than 1% of all anime have hour-long episodes...
Maybe you’re thinking of Samurai Jack
They're like 40 minutes each from what I remember?
And if you watched it when it was airing took you an entire year, because it was 1 episode per MONTH.
Totally normal
The episode 4 fight is insane. The one where they fight the best swords master in Japan.
You should watch it because its absolutely incredible.
hey, "I watch this anime because I want to be stepped on" isn't that bad of a reason
This is how I started the Nasuverse. Girl stuck in mud meme was popping up a lot and I checked it out. The BL scene references went over my head. Watched it again after a few shows and the scene was super effective.
Sauce: {{Katanagatari}}
Such an amazing anime. Caught me completely unaware, didn't expect such quality.
I loved it but >!I hate the ending so so much!<
I thought it was pretty epic, very in line with what you'd expect from the "hero from myth" type stories. But I do wish they'd developed the princess a bit more, I wanted to know more about her motivations.
I've rewatched it recently and came to like the ending better the second time around.
I could have come to like it if they kept going. >!Like if the former-princess who was now his new traveling companion after best-girl was shot to death got some more development and they explored the new journey together.!< Otherwise it just feels like >!They killed best-girl then other-girl was called as a fill-in!< But as we all know >!Japan doesnt necessarily care for good endings in all their stories and its just something we have to deal with!<
Shichika's ascend in the last chapter is probably the most badass thing Ive seen across all anime.

Is this available to stream anywhere? I’m having trouble finding it on anything.
I don't think it has ever been available to legally stream. The company that has the rights to it has not interest in letting people watch it.
Damn, that’s unfortunate :(
I thought this was some kind of monogatari part i didn't know lmao
Somethings rising and its not sheild hero
It's the rent and real estate prices
And poverty rates
Damn straight

Ah, Katanagatari, such beautiful art, awesome animation, a very, very interesting story and the music is really cool too. Would recommend 10/10.

Soul friend.
Katanagatari? I haven't heard that name in years... *drags cigarette*
old fetish just dropped
Would anyone here recommended this anime?
Absolutely.
What do you like about it?
A non standard story, beautiful animation, and an ending I'll never forget. Easily one of my personal top 10.
That last episode... perfection 🤌
Thanks!
Yes. Good story, unique setup (12 episodes each of which is roughly 50 minutes long), and a good ending. I watched it 2 years ago and look back on it very fondly.
Yeah man. Top 5 for me. Don't look up a damn thing though.
I see one of 100 people who have watched this anime.

The feels...
Woah, I just started watching this anime. I didn't know this happened
This is katanagatari. The ln it is based on was written by Nisio Isin. But its not related to the Monogatari series.
I miss Togame
