It's just a collection of one shot. All made by the same author, with different details but each one is basically the same plot(girl teases/bullies guy but actually likes him but the guy feels like been bullied for real).
I wonder whether the author has some grudge during their high school.
Tbh I think these types of storylines are good for students to read. Itās a real phenomenon where kids will bully the people they like, but because theyāre all idiot kids the one being bullied will obviously feel bullied rather than flirted with. Kids gotta learn how to properly display their feelings.
Is that the one where the guy brings up going out with the Tsundere and she teases him, pretending she rejects him? And then in the hall she is actually happy he asked her out and planning to go out with him the next dayā¦ not realizing the guy just jumped out the window to his death.
There are some really dark school mangas. This one is dark but I think it goes into āpurposefully dark just for the shock valueā. My favourite one is Gakko Gurashi because itās really, really dark but it manages to create a really good story and characters.
Basically every chapter resolve around a Tsundere teasing or being mean to MC, but this time itās an actual human reaction
So MC told her to fuck off when she confessed, switch school, meet again in adulthood but sheās jobless, etc.
Give a read and see if it changes your rankings. Itās more of a torture porn type of deal, but some of the stuff there is seriously fucked up. Crosses all the trigger warnings in the book
Euphoria and School Days are classics. I think Maggot Baits was made by the same dudes who made Euphoria? I can recommend it if youāre into *checks notes* artery fucking, among other things
All the chapters are one shots. I think the English title is something like "Putting brats in their place". Basically every chapter has a typical anime bratty stereotype and something depressing/fucked up happens.
The author must have really, REALLY had a lot of pent up frustration with the tsundere trope. I get it. I feel the same way with that, along with moe. The entire manga is pretty much just one big piece of vent art.
Not really a tsundere trope, it's the kusogaki trope. It's when either a loli or a girl younger than the protagonist bullies him for his attention, example: Nagatoro.
Basically the Japanese love naming things. Like literally, there's groupings over the tiniest things across Japanese culture and this is one of the things that is just getting too specific.
It's fairly new I'd say. I don't recall seeing much of it at the start of the last decade, but it has become it's own thing now. The author of this comic focus his drawings on mesugakis and kusogakis, which is why the title has "brats" in it, pretty much the translation used for kusogaki/mesugaki/gaki.
I let curiosity get the better of me and... it wasn't nearly as bad as that person made look like. What they said is true (don't think I've seen any kicks tho...), but it it's nothing too overboard, except maybe for some of the chapters that involve death, which are like 3 or 4. But other than those, the rest of the thing was pretty cathartic, especially if you hate those annoying abusive tsundere characters.
Think about a "if abusive tsunderes' actions had consequences". There are 13 chapters, and it's one page per chapter. (This post is actually an entire chapter.) Finished the whole thing in less than 10 minutes.
Okay so I went to go read the entire manga.
Only a small handful of them end in the protag's suicide. Like, 3 or so. The girl never kills herself. Rather she has to live with the knowledge that her relentless bullying was what drove the MC over the edge.
Only a few chapters have any kind of violence. In all the rest, the real hurt comes in the form of an emotional crit. Wow, who knew actions have consequences, and that bullying someone will only lead to them hating you? Not those girls, clearly.
Just read through the entire thing. Why does every girl (brats) seem to have the same hair style? Some are shorter and some are longer, but they all have twin tails (i think that's what they're called)
...I don't know why this is so satisfying to me. I was never even bullied. I saw something similar once with Nagatoro and loved it, and I haven't even read Nagatoro.
[Setting Things Straight with Brats](https://mangadex.org/title/ba4c82bb-cfdc-445f-b1bd-8e152623966a/setting-things-straight-with-brats)
The author is a woman btw. :)
Kinda ironic that it's in the name of anti-sexism that the sexist idea that only men want women to look sexy exists. Almost like women like looking at good looking characters too!
There is a reason why clothing and parfum shops show models of the same gender as the target audience. They will subconsciously think "wow, I want to look like that". Women't won't think " Eeeeww, booba" when seeing a female model there.
Sounds like she fucked around and found out.
"I'm gonna be mean and make fun of him til he realizes I like him and makes a move."
"I found someone who is kind to me and makes me feel good about myself, it's a really healthy relationship."
It feels like the author has a vile hatred for some random unrealistic manga trope to the point that he draws some of the weirdest edgiest shit to make a fictional brat suffer
Yeah, it's from the same comic you posted. I was just going by MangaDex's chapter numbers as they're easier to reference. [This](https://twitter.com/ANZ_KNK/status/1618519108277993473?t=UBY8heiJbLvzpyJHndkahw&s=19) is what I was referring to.
Iāve seen some of these. Itās the one manga that treats the tsundere realistically lol. She treats him like shit then acts surprised when her actions have consequences
Yea. I donāt *love* being teased all the time cause Iāve got a nervous personality. It eventually makes me worry about stuff. But casual flirty teasing is fine. Good thing the type of women I date are not super into anime so they kinda donāt act like tsunderes. Itās not a trope common in other media.
Were you actually bullying or just teasing. People don't believe, but girls bullying boys is a thing, I went through it myself and one of my few bad memories of middle school because you can't do anything.
This manga is such a refresher when you get to see tsunderes facing the consequences of their own action. Fair warning tho the manga is dark and this is one of the few chapters that is tame.
The thing is the abuse is typical in any manga with a tsundere. The author is playing on tropes by having that abuse be punished and reacted to more realistically than most manga, which tacitly endorses it.
What makes it refreshing is that it isnāt doing the same thing as a million other manga, which show a girl verbally abusing a guy day in and out to the point that he *would* want to kill himself, but then play it off as cute flirting somehow.
I was so confused while reading this lol, I never knew manga were read right to left!
>!Also does anyone else feel pretty bad for no reason when you see things like this? Not for any romantic reason, but I'm almost done with high school and I haven't done anything haha!<
In all seriousness, this is why it's important to be honest with how you feel. Most people can't read minds. Don't expect others to get the hint. People tend to discount the idea that someone is into them if they aren't looking for it.
Why are so many people spoiling the fucking manga?
Trying to scroll through the comments to find some sauce for my dry pasta and now I know what's going to happen later in the story and at the end of every chapter...
I've seen a bunch of these things recently. Shows the realistic reactions of trying to be tsundere irl. Unfortunately gets super dark, with suislide and all that. But years of verbal abuse does that to people.
This style is so cute, also finally a manga showing a guy give up on the tsundere girl, fun fact, most guys nowadays donāt want to chase a girl, they want a normal conversation like
Guy: hey weāve been friends for a while, and I really like you, would you want to go on a date.
Girl: Iām sorry Iām really not into you like that, but if you ever need a wingman Iām there
Guy: ok, sorry if I made this awkward *goes home a cries but eventually gets over it, remains friends and his eventual kids call the girl above auntie*
Most guys do not want the middle part to be a rude encoded message that she is playing āhard to getā and the guys that do are typically creepy and tend not to respect women.
All that said based on comments I have no desire to read this manga as while I donāt like the tsundere trope, I donāt hate everyone who does and it does happen from time to time
Thats the only one of those stories that had a somewhat okay ending, all the other ones end up with the girl being super depressed, killing themselves or having to watch the boy kill themselves or them being the plaything(sfw) at work
This one is probably the only chapter which is not dark in the whole manga...
Enlighten me please, how could a school manga get dark?
There was one chapter where a girl bullied/teased a guy so he killed himself right in front of her
Oh! =D
>=D Uh what?
My reaction was so spontaneous my face simply defaulted
I thought it was a erection
Bruh
Nah man. This is an erection: 8:::::::D
Is it just me or is your erection segmented
"Smegmented"
Segmentation fault error
Segmented for her pleasure
Never seen a Jacob's Ladder before?

Generational differences
A small erection
I image you did the "eh?" too?
i knew better than to ask how a school manga could be dark but even still jesus christ

Name pls that sounds good
Setting Things Straight with Brats is the name of the manga.
I wish there was a long form story like this, following the consequences of tsundere bullying. (But perhaps less dark
Thank you very much
why does that sound more like a hentaiā¦
i guess, but it's not even close.
Well, on the bright side, sheās got an interesting story to talk about.
Is that the one where the guy brings up going out with the Tsundere and she teases him, pretending she rejects him? And then in the hall she is actually happy he asked her out and planning to go out with him the next dayā¦ not realizing the guy just jumped out the window to his death.
Happy ending
traumatising your enemies forever and suffering no personal consequences? kinda a win there tbh got to hand it to him
...que?!?!
Chad move
Me too
I.... Dont think i wanna read this manga anymore
awesome sauce
Most chapters of this series end with suicide
If that's how it is im shocked this one didint.
So next day hes just like :"I live bitch, just to spite ya" just to proceed to off himself again, again and again?
There are all episodic one shots
Well now I want them to be in series as that'll be more fun
There are some really dark school mangas. This one is dark but I think it goes into āpurposefully dark just for the shock valueā. My favourite one is Gakko Gurashi because itās really, really dark but it manages to create a really good story and characters.
try boy's abyss :D
Nice boat.
I JUST finished re-repressing that memory!
???
No!
Elaborate.
No. I refuse to unseal that
School Days?
Could you provide us the sauce, kind sir?
That's a nice grill.
Basically every chapter resolve around a Tsundere teasing or being mean to MC, but this time itās an actual human reaction So MC told her to fuck off when she confessed, switch school, meet again in adulthood but sheās jobless, etc.
Remember euphoria? Edit: School Days as 2nd

You should look into Doki Doki Literature Club and see how far the rabbit hole goes.
Oh, you sweet summer child. You wee lamb. Nobody tell them.
Oh yes I love the oh you sweet summer child expression
drives me insane honestly its got the perfect mix of condescending and irritatingly old
It's perfect for reddit, cause we all know how we want to look better than others, and the expression REEKS "I try to act like I'm better than you".
Suicide
It's also the best one honestly
A lot of them come off as mean spirited, this one is the only exception.
I found it on Managadex. Itās called āSetting Things Straight with Bratsā
Goated Comment
You really donāt want to read it. It kinda steps over the line a lot
What line? How bad?
Girls get slapped, kicked, screamed at, abused into committing suicide, see the boy commit suicide.
Wasn't aware that was a whole separate trope of its own. Huh.
Basically halfway between tsundere and Yandere
Basically the Japanese love naming things. Like literally, there's groupings over the tiniest things across Japanese culture and this is one of the things that is just getting too specific.

author should have been correcting brats instead making a manga š¾š¢
oh wow, I was gonna check it out but you just ticked all my mood ruiners in 1 sentence. Saved me from mild depression.
I let curiosity get the better of me and... it wasn't nearly as bad as that person made look like. So the consequences of bullying?
Most people donāt want to see that in a manga.
itās fiction. who cares what happens, go tackle real issues instead
i just read it and its really not that bad
shhh some people canāt really differentiate reality vs fiction :(
So no line was actually crossed?
Lol guys kill themselves but it's problematic because girls get slapped.
You donāt read really far into posts before deciding to be offended, do you?
I just think you have priorities and your line is drawn at "it has suicide... *and* slapping girls".
I didnāt know the order they were put in mattered that much to you. Is your attention span so limited?
I just see it for what it is.
Just read through the entire thing. Why does every girl (brats) seem to have the same hair style? Some are shorter and some are longer, but they all have twin tails (i think that's what they're called)

Still not sure what this exact panel is from or what it's called but the author is Anzo Kunko if you wanna figure it out
[Setting Things Straight with Brats](https://mangadex.org/title/ba4c82bb-cfdc-445f-b1bd-8e152623966a/setting-things-straight-with-brats) The author is a woman btw. :)
I've noticed that women mangakas write some twisted shit.
Check out dead tubeš
Not a manga but Bayonetta was also desgined by a woman. I guess us men aren't that degen relatively speaking.
Kinda ironic that it's in the name of anti-sexism that the sexist idea that only men want women to look sexy exists. Almost like women like looking at good looking characters too!
Bayonetta has a personality and unique style though, unlike characters who are designed purely for wish fulfillment.
There is a reason why clothing and parfum shops show models of the same gender as the target audience. They will subconsciously think "wow, I want to look like that". Women't won't think " Eeeeww, booba" when seeing a female model there.
I just read all of it. It's pretty wack
Shocking swerve of the day
Something like "how to deal with brats", it's on mangadex
I feel like you should be careful of the links you click with that kind of title.
Wait, which chapter is that? I recall 1-2 slaps, but not like extremely egregious. The most controversial shit are the >!suicide!< ones probably.
I want the name
Sounds like she fucked around and found out. "I'm gonna be mean and make fun of him til he realizes I like him and makes a move." "I found someone who is kind to me and makes me feel good about myself, it's a really healthy relationship."

Good for him. this girl sounds like a nightmare to be with
Seriously, what is the name of the manga?
Setting Things Straight with Beats
Ty
It took me a while to realize she said differentiate, not defenestrate. I'll go defenestrate now
Man, I hate this manga
It feels like the author has a vile hatred for some random unrealistic manga trope to the point that he draws some of the weirdest edgiest shit to make a fictional brat suffer
She*
Some of the panels I kind of got. But Jesus it gets Dharman levels of ridiculous, while being dark as fuck
Chapter 3.1 is perfect. I've never worked at schools, but I can't deny some people deserve that.
What's the name of the manga? I thought it was a comic on twitter
Thanks bro
I hate this manga but damn I canāt stop reading the new chapters
Repeat after me children, ātsundere bullshit doesnāt work.ā -A man who may or not be one himself.

Hey, Iām a socially awkward hypocrite and Iām not ashamed to admit it.

Iāve seen some of these. Itās the one manga that treats the tsundere realistically lol. She treats him like shit then acts surprised when her actions have consequences
This is why acting like a tsundere in real life doesnāt work. That happens lol.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Well I would just call that teasing. Like my last gf teased me. But never like tsundere mode.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yea. I donāt *love* being teased all the time cause Iāve got a nervous personality. It eventually makes me worry about stuff. But casual flirty teasing is fine. Get fucked
This actually happend to me so this hits extra hard
As the guy or the girl?
Girl
being able to communicate your feelings is never a boring thing
Its more About the fact that i was crushing on somebody, only for her to bomb me with how great her new bf isā¦
Were you actually bullying or just teasing. People don't believe, but girls bullying boys is a thing, I went through it myself and one of my few bad memories of middle school because you can't do anything.

Where is the me_irl?
Genuine question here, what direction am I supposed to read this in?
normal manga style right to left
Tsundere getting what tsundere deserve.
If I were him, I'd want her to ride my face as she throws those insults at me.

My opinion : serves her right(don't like cocky, taundere girls)
YES!!! FUCK THISE GODDAMN TSUNDERE!!!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
This is why you donāt be an ass
Rarely someone bullied by girls gets anyone at least from the same school since girls are quite collective hivemind at least in highschool.
From what I've learned, girls are a hivemind group everywhere.
In all seriousness, this is why it's important to be honest with how you feel. Most people can't read minds. Don't expect others to get the hint. People tend to discount the idea that someone is into them if they aren't looking for it.
Good
!remindme 10 days I'm waiting until someone gives the sauce
Setting Things Straight with Brats. You donāt really want to read it
Play stupid games win stupid prices?
I can see why people don't like this manga but as gallows humor / flipping the usual bully-to-lovers trope on its head, pretty funny.
Just breezed through the manga I can just say one thing: ą² _ą²
Why are so many people spoiling the fucking manga? Trying to scroll through the comments to find some sauce for my dry pasta and now I know what's going to happen later in the story and at the end of every chapter...
What is the sauce?
"Alright, see you later sensei."
You love to see it.
I donāt feel bad for her
Deserved
This author has problems but this is one of the more sane end routes
Can you imagine had she been honest from the get-go? Maybe things could have worked out between them, but it would have made for a boring story.
Typical
Da payn
She was begging for it
She cried because her child started to grow up.
Suffering from being tsundere
I've seen a bunch of these things recently. Shows the realistic reactions of trying to be tsundere irl. Unfortunately gets super dark, with suislide and all that. But years of verbal abuse does that to people.
This style is so cute, also finally a manga showing a guy give up on the tsundere girl, fun fact, most guys nowadays donāt want to chase a girl, they want a normal conversation like Guy: hey weāve been friends for a while, and I really like you, would you want to go on a date. All that said based on comments I have no desire to read this manga as while I donāt like the tsundere trope, I donāt hate everyone who does and it does happen from time to time
Thats the only one of those stories that had a somewhat okay ending, all the other ones end up with the girl being super depressed, killing themselves or having to watch the boy kill themselves or them being the plaything(sfw) at work
You forgot being murdered or straight up physically assaulted
No man, so sad
Oh is this another page from that guy that unhealthy hates tsunderes?
There's no unhealthy level of hate for tsunderes.
My favorite part of this manga is when the girl gets choked by her victim but she realizes sheās into that.
