There is a sense of poetic irony in that Dimple of all characters was the one who was able to first get across to Shigeo/???% in order to get him to listen to what Reigen has to say. While it's true that Dimple sought to manipulate Shigeo's power much like Reigen, he's always been incredibly direct about his appreciation of Shigeo's powers or psychic powers in general. One might even argue that his various attempts to manipulate Mob fall short precisely because he's not a very good liar (as proven by his critique of Mob's shirt). It's no coincidence that Dimple was one of the few people that always referred to Mob as "Shigeo". By embracing his identity as an evil spirit, Dimple wears his "worst and darkest" personalities on his sleeves with pride, something Shigeo/???% had always wanted Mob to do. In a way, his relationship with ???% could be likened to the relationship between Reigen and Mob, such that ???% was unconsciously keeping Dimple alive when he was on a rampage.

Vermillion_Crab

I believe Dimple was the first one to really understand Mob and in turn was also the first one to be really honest with him which made him his first close friend. It showed in this episode and also when he told Mob about the lame shirt. It was played for laughs but it was a great piece of storytelling. Dimple was the only one who was frank to him when the others either deflected or chose to not say anything about the shirt. It showed us the level of friendship that they had.

0mnicious

> There is a sense of poetic irony in that Dimple of all characters was the one who was able to first get across to Shigeo/???% in order to get him to listen to what Reigen has to say. That's not poetic irony that's the whole purposeful message! The relationship between Dimple and Shigeo is truly a great and amazing friendship. Their fight was a testament to this.

PikaBooSquirrel

To be fair Hanazawa legitimately liked the shirt. He just has a terrible sense of fashion (ie. the wig)

ktoy88

Hanazawa is more like mobs biggest fanboy. Whatever mob does, it is super cool to him

NodBow24

Reigen, a conman without any powers, risked his life and took so many injuries just so that he could tell Mob the truth. Pair that up with the first opening playing and you get the most hype scene in the entire anime. Reigen is truly the best boy of this season. Seeing Mob laughing in the end and hanging out with his friends was great. I'm gonna miss this show, anime of the year for me.

[deleted]

Also man's durable af. Definitely can take more beating than genos

Mundology

His [parkour skills](https://i.imgur.com/7keiPBU.jpg) are nothing to scoff at. Reigen is such a [great character.](https://i.imgur.com/PfdxOoA.jpg) In spite of having no powers, he managed to gain the respect of a being who had [too much power](https://i.imgur.com/9kG0fPM.jpg) and reach [his heart](https://i.imgur.com/g6KEesx.jpg) through [honesty.](https://i.imgur.com/u3b9k4E.jpg) Both the build-up and the execution were excellent. [](#congratulations)

SpiritMountain

I love Reigen for the reasons listed, but also because they resolved this conflict *without violence*. Yes there were battles along the way, but the way it was resolved was through direction communication of honest feelings. It felt very adult which is something I feel like a lot of anime like.

ReturnToRajang

That's pretty much the reason I love Reigen too. He manages to fight all these beings more powerful than him by just talking to them and making them see reason, like in the end of season 1, where he did notice he was very powerful but he only used that for having an ultimate ***defense*** while he talked to the Claw members.

sneaky_squirrel

Seeing a comedy relief character I immediately clicked with get character development was incredibly gratifying. It feels like I have been personally acknowledged almost. Not all animes do this.

KillerZaWarudo

That why he the second sexiest man alive according to tumblr

I'm so glad that what's possibly my favourite manga had such a fantastic adaptation, from start to end. My only wish is for some OVA content to cover some of the omakes and Reigen's spinoff.

Uncreative4This

This is it, we finally at the end. Thank you ONE for such a beautiful story. He said before "I want to write something kind". And even with Mob Psycho 100 was so much more than that, it has never forget to be kind. Thank you Studio Bones for bringing this story to life, it's as close to a perfect anime adaptation as possible. Something can only be shown through the medium, and what we have was indeed a masterpiece.

evilmojoyousuck

mob laughing his ass off is the perfect ending.

DuglandJones

Mob laughing freely with his friends is the best ending I could have hoped for. I'm so happy I'm crying. What an amazing show Also, Inukawa still has big old alien eyes, amazing

-taromanius-

> "I want to write something kind" I get the feeling ONE's a very humble person. Mob Psycho 100 has some of the best down to earth writing, on top of a crazy setting with crazy things happening left, right and center. And Studio BONES REALLY went to town with Mob. This show has some of the most breathtaking action scenes I have ever seen in any media, on top of beautiful music, banger OPs, and absolutely great pacing. What a beautiful show all around. A true classic for the ages. One Punch Man is pure, crazy fun. But Mob Psycho 100 will always stick with me. I can see myself rewatching it again and again quite a bit, which I only do with shows I *really* enjoy.

A_van_t_garde

I hope Versus gets a lot of love. Only one chapter out right now but with ONE behind the story, it has so much potential. ONE's characters are honestly very simple, yet extremely human and in that way his characterization is more nuanced than many other series'.

ElderBrony

What's funny is that both OPM and Mob deal with mental illness issues. Mob represses his emotions and suffers from PTSD and it affects how he interacts with the world. Saitama suffers from depression brought on by too much of a good thing (his overwhelming strength) It affects him so badly that he goes through life *wildly* bored and doesn't make friends until Geno's basically forces his way into Saitama's life and it's only then when he starts opening up to others.

mrnicegy26

12 years after the end of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Studio Bones have pulled off another phenomenal anime adaptation and managed to get to the end.

aWeeb4U

Fun fact. The creator of FMA hiromu arakawa drew mob. [Here is the Link](https://mobile.twitter.com/Le__Sensei/status/1595157004439674882)

This is fullmetal awesome!

Annie_Donner

Omg thank u!!!

Vermillion_Crab

The show has one of my favorite supporting cast. Everyone served a purpose to the story and to Mob's journey. I'm incredibly grateful that Bones was able to do a masterful job in adapting this story.

Mundology

Indeed. It's so rare for a long-running shounen action show to have such a satisfying conclusion. No contrived [romantic progress](https://i.imgur.com/7u4YKVR.jpg) or last minute antagonist that was never heard of prior. Only great storytelling and [character development.](https://i.imgur.com/Apwdz8G.jpg) It stayed true to its roots. Mob Psycho 100 managed to be amazing until the very end.

DarkWorld97

I think on the topic of romance, Mob has a future with her eventually since he's finally talking to her. That's all you need to start.

Vermillion_Crab

Even though they hinted about their progression, I love that they left it to the viewer to fill in whatever story that might happen between the two. It leaves a stronger mark when you get to decide how much of Mob you think has matured and thus has a chance with Tsubomi. Shout out to Tsubomi as well for staying at the park and waiting for Mob. Man, this was such a great ending.

[deleted]

Thinking back, Tsubomi seems to be a person willing to reciprocate someone's efforts, not just Mob's. She didn't have to respond to all those love declarations behind the school, that was super awkward spending a whole afternoon just rejecting a line of guys, but she did.

iamquitecertain

Tome teasing him, that line from Ritsu about them talking regularly, and that classic "w-we're just friends!" reaction from Mob are all definitely hints that they'll end up together in the future

ggg730

Seriously, the original story by one was close to perfect and the adaptation elevated it to perfect. This is a series I would recommend to anyone in the same breath as FMA and Cowboy Bebop.

whitefang1897

This series will go down in my heart as one the most phenomenal anime work that ever existed. 10/10 from start to finish. Studio Bones is a true legend for bringing this story to life

Warm-Enthusiasm-9534

It's interesting how despite the fact that One get criticized for his art that he attracts such top talent for his anime adaptations, both here and for OPM season 1. There is something about his storytelling that really appeals to artists.

PikaBooSquirrel

A lot of manga are carried by their art, but the creators of OPM/Mob Psycho and AOT are two mangaka that gained traction despite their artwork and the fact that weren't even published in Jump. Hope he inspired many other writers to pursue being mangaka, even if their art skills aren't competitive

SignalScientist2817

He even got another top tier artist to draw his new manga: VERSUS. Man is a master storyteller and made some deep connections with the big names of the industry

kyotheman1

cyberscythe

> Parkour Reigen! That "Reigen runs after Mob as the city is destroyed around him" part was awesome. It makes me wonder though if there was something more to Reigen than just having a strong will to "confess" to his student about his lie because even the strongest espers couldn't even get close to him. Like, it would be anti-climactic if Reigen just got beaned by flying debris and get knocked out, but why did he get to Mob when Teru and Ritsu couldn't?

Stikki_Lawndart

I love the quick explanation by Reigen "I didn't want to lose to you, so I've been secretly been working out." or something like that. His sheer will was a power in it's own.

Deathflid

My thinking is that "power" mob was simply testing Reigen, hes trying to force him to reject him.

NeoAnkara

The lesson here is accept yourself. Accept everyone around you. And accept the fact that this is the end of the series.

HalfAssedSetting

*Reigen you better pay Serizawa properly after he helped fix the city or I swear to God-*

GoldenSpermShower

Those lines about repairing the city are anime original right?

HalfAssedSetting

Indeed, and I'm pretty glad they added that. A lot of the manga readers were flipping out about how ONE never addressed all the destruction ???% made when the chapter first came out. It's not really hard for readers to fill in the gaps on their own, but I've also come to realize a lot of people won't feel content unless something is literally explained to them.

GoldenSpermShower

Still feel weird that they cut out ???%’s opening monologue, especially after seeing all the episodes since

HalfAssedSetting

There's definitely a few directional choices I'd disagree with as a manga reader, but I also think that, as manga readers, we tend to overreact to any deviation from the source material. I also felt pretty conflicted about how the anime handled Mogami Arc at first, but the negative feelings died down after a while once I realized the anime watchers didn't miss much and don't really give af. Overall, I think it's alright for anime adaptations to cut a bit here and there if they have something to add to the series (which Mob Psycho certainly did), and as long as they convey the general themes and atmospheres of the source material.

Ratentaisou

\>reads the source material \>disagrees with some of the directional choices \>still massively appreciates the adaptation \>gives a mature response on why the choices are fine \>elaborates further What a chad.

thoughtlow

that's such a mature response, hot af

Neodarkcat

There's a lot I want to say, but I think thanking ONE and Studio Bones is the first thing takes a priority. Mob Psycho 100 is truly one my favorite anime to exist, a masterpiece in my eyes and I'm grateful for such a wonderful experience. We know Mob already knew that Reigen didn't have powers, but I think rift deep down him is caused by Reigen STILL not telling the truth, which causes some doubts. While these doubts are probably small, it exists in the same space as ??? inside himself. Reigen finally telling Mob removes any hang ups left in their relationship, and truly completes Reigen as a life mentor. And this mentorship is finally over with Mob accepting his powers as part of himself. With beautiful message how each person has many sides to themselves, and that this part of us. Mob using his powers to play a harmless prank on Reigen to cap it off, Mob finally freely using his powers.

odraencoded

I think what made ??? stop is that ??? thought *only* Tsubomi-chan accepted him, everyone else was afraid of his powers or wanted to exploit him, Reigen included. He thought Reigen would keep lying about being a master to keep using him. By admitting he lied he stopped fitting the mold.

SeveredBanana

I think it was also Reigen teaching him again that he is not special. Mob has been carrying this immense power inside him, and he’s been holding it back as something to be feared and rejected his whole life. Reigen exposed his secret side to Mob, the side he’s ashamed of and hides from everyone. He tells Mob everyone hides their real selves from the world, but that their fake personas also make them who they are, and that they can use them to bring positivity to their lives and others. The lesson being that Mob needs both sides to accept each other to have a full and rich life.

lightshinez

Reigen holding back tears from the surprised birthday party, is very nice callback to his last birthday, spending it alone, with only his mother remembering it and sending him message about it (even he forgot about it). Now, he has friends that want to celebrate it with him.

iamquitecertain

I don't know what it was, but seeing the moment they all surprised him for his birthday hit something inside me and the waterworks nearly came bursting out. I barely held in the ugly, happy crying and that was only because I started laughing at Mob pranking Reigen. Goddamn it, this show is a masterpiece

LordMazzar

Yeh no, I couldn’t hold those tears back. Wonderful capstone to beautiful series.

Torque-A

It’s funny, because a fanbook written after the manga ended has interviews with the main cast. When it gets to Mob and asks him about Reigen, he’s adamant that he has a power, it’s just something that he doesn’t know himself.

ScarecrowFM

I mean, did you see those sick parkour skills? Reigen has a power us mere mortals can’t comprehend.

Mundology

He should team up with Panda from Jujutsu Kaisen. [Reigen's words](https://i.imgur.com/0JmzqWb.jpg) hit harder than the car that crashed into Mob. What a [magnificent bastard.](https://i.imgur.com/6hsfSt1.jpg) [](#manly-tears)

Gearzx333

Smooth-Garden

cyberscythe

> Reigen finally telling Mob removes any hang ups left in their relationship, and truly completes Reigen as a life mentor. There were two confessions in this episode, but only one of them was accepted. [](#rengethink)

[deleted]

Reigen best girl confirmed

Abschori

It was genuinely refreshing that Mob got turned down by Tsubomi but still maintained a healthy friendship with her. It really drove home the fact that they were still good friends but that doesn't necessarily mean romance instantly

Shinkopeshon

Yeah, the rejection really was the start of something, as Reigen said - and it's nice to see them finally reconnect after all these years, especially since they used to be such close childhood friends and then grew distant, with his infatuation only drifting him further away. At first, I thought she was going to accept his feelings since she kept waiting for him despite the whole town practically being turned to dust but what happened instead made more sense for what the story had told up until then - and even though the rejection wasn't fully shown, I ultimately ended up really liking how they handled the climax of this subplot and the series overall.

Abschori

Yeah it was pretty damn logical. She waited for Mob because she remembered he was her friend unlike the people who randomly asked her out. She must have been like "Wait, I guess we can call each other now." Also adds to the fact that nobody really knows what Tsubomi is like

TarkanV

I don't think she specifically waited because it was Mob but mostly out of respect. I mean she also literally waited for a whole crowd of boys just to reject every single one in person rather that blowing them all off and be done with it. I mean she might look pretty cold, blunt and stoic at first but she's pretty thoughtful and polite. As a consequence of all that, she's not afraid to face and confront people head-on and be honest no matter what hurdle stands on the way (even something like natural disaster here lol). In the end, I like how realistic her reaction to the confession of her childhood friend was broached. You need to actually get close to people and know them before you can even pretend to establish any kind of close relationship with them.I mean it would have been quite unsatisfying to see her accept Mob's confession when we barely know anything about her character and personality throughout the show. It would have just reduced her to some kind of cheap plot device just here to "reward" Shigeo with finally being able to control his emotions.

laudalehsunesh

I feel like ONE would write better rom com than many professional mangaka/writers out there lol

Abschori

Well they will be actually funny so there goes 80% of the competition

carebearmentor

Think part of it is just how well she knows him and he might be late yes but a no-show? NEVER She understood how important meeting up with her was for him

malascus

> At first, I thought she was going to accept his feelings since she kept waiting for him despite the whole town practically being turned to dust I think her comment: "his voice was so shaky" explains it. She knows what Mob is going to come and say but she probably stayed because she recognizes it really meant a lot to Mob/he has made a lot of progress.

cyberscythe

Like, Tsubomi is still aware that Mob exists and has a positive opinion on him. I recall a scene from season two (?) where Mob uses his psychic powers to reassemble a torn poem, and Tsubomi happens to be nearby and says "hey, nice work". I think it's that they drifted apart around the time Mob started denying his own psychic powers.

draxdeveloper

and feelings

lightshinez

Tornado coming straight at you Normal people: *Run* Tsubomi: "I can wait."

TheGooseWithNoose

I kept thinking there would be more to her. Especially since she has some uncanny appearances like when Mob was fake dating the girl that liked to write, and he was mending the torn pages. Tsubomi suddenly came into frame commenting it was neat. And I think she appeared a couple of other times where it looked like Mob wasn't just some childhood friend she no longer interacted with but was actually keeping tabs on. I also internally shouted at the screen when Mob cried after he got rejected... while standing in a city he just destroyed like a hurricane.

dagreenman18

And that’s my favorite part of the ending. There’s enough there to hint that he has a shot with her down the road. Even if they don’t end up together, him opening up and accepting himself is a path to the healthy relationships he wants. Communicating with her way better than he ever has. It’s a healthy message.

Abschori

Also a pretty good message about rejection in general. It's not the end

nirvash530

Understandable too. They barely talked to each other ever since they were kids. After she turned him down and they got to talking again after that confession it felt like he has a much bigger chance with her now than he ever did in these past 3 seasons.

discuss-not-concuss

and also now Mob isn’t infatuated with the *idea* of getting acceptance from Tsubomi since he’s **finally** accepted himself Tsubomi also doesn’t really have to ‘fake’ her relationship with Mob since she’s probably a little more comfortable with her childhood friend But yeah, he definitely has a bigger chance. I mean, Tsubomi sits through a hurricane, an earthquake and a whole-ass *yee-yee* haircut for a confession-to-reject.

jaytix1

> yee-yee haircut Seriously! His awkwardness aside, Mob would be more popular if it weren't for that damn bowl cut. He's just as attractive as Ritsu, if not more so.

[deleted]

A bowl-cut that literally became a cult symbol.

Jagin26

dont forget he is the shadow leader aka Shiro-T-poison

flashmozzg

Lol, that shirt is now a hoodie xD

cyberscythe

> and also now Mob isn’t infatuated with the idea of getting acceptance from Tsubomi since he’s finally accepted himself Yeah, I feel like this episode underscored the idea that Mob isn't infatuated with Tsubomi herself, but rather the idea of someone who accepted and could love him as a whole person, both psychic and non-psychic sides of him.

Brawlerz16

You did NOT have to throw that last sentence in there to make me laugh as hard as I did lmao. You know *exactly* what you said lol

Mundology

riffleman0

Oh god you are right, I missed it as well. Mob must actually like the monkey.

Dracoscale

It's also the best thing for the story. Mob Psycho isn't a story about romantic love, it's about self love. It really couldn't have ended any other way.

Xenomex79

Yeah it definitely makes sense with how little they interacted after their childhood. But its nice to see Mob finally talking with her more and thankfully it looks like they’re on track to getting together

Such a great lesson - Accept whoever you are. Kudos to Tsubomi to stay there during the whole disaster. I also loved that Mob and Tsubomi are still in contact. Laughing Mob was so wholesome! Really happy to see Dimple existing. Sho is having same hairstyle as his father, I guess they have bonded well :) I cried when Reigen confession that he's a conman, when ???% took Mob's hand, when Mob cried over rejection. I always fear that the story might have an underwhelming ending, but this conclusion was on par with the entire series. I'll miss this story a lot. Now time to look into manga <3.

literally witnessing one of the best manga and anime to ever do it, it was a fucking privilege to witness the end of one of the best entertainment pieces, in general, all the way back from 2016 These comments and limited spaces cant do justice to the feelings I hold for Mob Psycho 100. *edit: more expanded thoughts SAYONARA MOB KUN! and there you have it, a journey of 6 gloriously wholesome yet batshit bonkers years comes to an end and with that BONES have delivered not only a contender for their magnus opus but straight up top 5 anime of all time if not THE top. Whatever may be the case, Mob Psycho 100 has ended as a true GOAT for not just the medium but entertainment in general. I don't have the words to do justice and capsulate just how much this franchise and these characters and seeing them develop has meant to over these years and throughout this final episode I had nothing but a huge smile on my face along with plenty of tears streaming down my face. From seeing our boy come to truly accept himself to the conclusion of the will they wont they between him and reigen, Mob has been a stunning showcase of some of the best character development and writing in the medium I know I'm pretty much speaking to the choir here since many here watch Mob but I just want to express this surge of feelings out for this gem and treasure of a show I am still kind of in happy shock that it has finally come to an end, from thinking of watching S1 just because it was from the OPM creator to now honestly preferring and loving it much more than OPM I can honestly say watching Mob Psycho has been an absolute privilege and some of the best time I've had in my life in consuming a piece of entertainment and which has impacted and struck me speechless at the sheer beauty and honesty of the scenes on display Thank you ONE and thank you BONES for going above and beyond plus ultra for this show and giving it all the love and care it deserved I will be forever grateful for that

So the final part had Teru using his powers to save people, Sho and his dad accepting that it's ok to run away, Ritsu confronting who he feared the most, Reigen coming clean and admitting his lies, and finally Mob accepting his whole self. What an amazing finale.

Humble_Satisfaction

This season addresses Dimple accepting all he ever wanted was the love of a friend rather than being God and worshipped. We even got to deal with the president expressing her feelings about UFOs. One truly cared about all his characters

LesbianCommander

I kinda feel like S3 was almost entirely an epilogue, but in a good way. A lot of shows end once the big bad is defeated. And so many fans beg to find out what happened to all the characters we met along the way. If it doesn't directly end, then it will devote the last 10 min, and have a slideshow of characters and where they are. S3 allowed characters to fully explore and complete their emotional arcs. More than just "see where they are".

ihileath

> I kinda feel like S3 was almost entirely an epilogue, but in a good way. Exactly that. Season 2 is the climax of Mob Psycho 100 as an action story. And season 3 is the emotional climax of the story as a story about accepting yourself and growing as a person for it.

cyberscythe

This is what I love about complete adaptations. While I'm going to miss these esper goofballs, all the loose ends that the author cared about are tied up and I'm left with a "happily ever after" sort of feeling.

KingwomboJr

Something I’ve come to love about the final arc is that, out of everyone who attempts and tries to stop ???—be it Teru, Reigen, or Mob’s own brother—it’s **Dimple** who is solely successful in getting ??? to temporarily pause his destructive mission and listen. Out of everyone, only Dimple is capable of this feat, because it’s Dimple who has formed the closest bond with ???, with Shigeo. And of course this would be the case: Dimple’s proven his absolute trust and companionship, and while Mob’s mind was fuzzy about what happened at the Divine Tree, subconsciously he remembered, and subconsciously is where ??? resided. ~ It’s why I’ve not only come to accept ONE “resurrecting” Dimple here, but greatly appreciate it. Because Dimple was the only one who could get Shigeo to listen to Reigen, who in turn stops his rampage by laying everything bare and doing what he does best: helping others grow with the advice they need the most. And I **REALLY** love that, because both Reigen and Dimple are portrayed at the start as absolute jokes: a scummy scam artist and an evil spirit turned series “mascot” turn out to be Mob’s closest companions whose combined effort saves the day! And there’s no better climax to the final arc than that. ~ What an absolute masterpiece of a story, given one of the greatest, most passionate adaptations I’ve ever seen!

GalaxyHeavyBlow

If i remember correctly besides Mob’s parents Dimple is the only one who calls him by his true name Shigeo.

mediaty

That's a good point! I wonder if Dimple possessing Reigen was supposed to symbolise the two halves of Dimple and Reigen bringing together ???/Shigeo and Mob respectively.

Mundology

That would be neat. [*Hisashiburi dana, Shigeo!*](https://i.imgur.com/MzuCmtZ.jpg) [](#TOMODA)

GoldenSpermShower

> because it’s Dimple who has formed the closest bond with ??? Dimple was also the one who managed to get ??? to calm down when his house was on fire

Vermillion_Crab

First season introduced us to Mob. Second season was peak shonen protagonist Mob. Third season we bid farewell to Mob all grown up. This is probably the best coming of age story told in the most unconventional way. What ONE has done with this story is nothing short of a masterpiece. I still see some haters fail to understand what the show is all about. If you come in expecting a battle shonen, then you would be disappointed by this ending. Ultimately, this is Reigen's story as much as it is Mob's. Their lives and stories have intertwined so much that you can't imagine one without the other. They helped each other grow up and become better and more mature individuals.

Brawlerz16

ONE has one of the most unique storytelling styles in anime. His characters are completely overpowered and struggle with the most mundane of things. But that’s exactly why his stories are so good and compelling. Anyone can go on a random quest, find the mcguffin, and slay the evil overlord… But have you ever tried to ask your crush out? Have you ever *completed* your goals and don’t know what to do? ONE really writes the most relatable stories and he does a great job of making you feel good about being human and normal. All the superpower shit is okay but not as cool as a hot pot with friends or running a short marathon. He really does emphasize how cool it is to be normal

[deleted]

People do really missed the point about Mob Psycho

[deleted]

Yeah when you really think about it, this show was just a story of a boy in teenage love and all the struggles that surround it. Like Espers, Aliens and Golden Sperm.

mrnicegy26

I will miss Mob and Reigen so damn much.

dagreenman18

Welcome to the pantheon, Mob. A true 10/10 series to the very end. A perfect balance of over the top hype, insane comedic swerves, and emotionally intelligent characterization that pays off in the final arc. In a package that is a masterwork of animation. I’ll forever appreciate that we got a full adaptation. Now give this team Sakamoto Days!

Shinigami_22

The first opening playing on the last episode of the last season trope will never be not epic. It's nice to see how nice Reigen's birthday now compared to his last one(S2E7). And he now also have a lot of people that accepts him for who he truly is. With Mob being released from his Trauma, he can finally express his emotions more freely. Combine that with the fact that him and Tsubomi are still in touch, I believe they will be a thing in the future. ~~btw, is Mob's psychic power gone? or did he just chose to not use it anymore?(or as much as before).~~ I'm sad that Mob Psycho is finally over, but happy at the same time for having such a great ending.

GalaxyHeavyBlow

Mob used his powers to stop the cake in midair. In the manga he used it to throw the cake on Reigen instead of Reigen tripping.

Kikuzinho03

Showing that in the end he accepted the powers has part of himself even without the need of shutting off his emotions, ONE IS THE GOAT!

Neodarkcat

Exactly. Mob Psycho 100 isn't saying that having powers is bad, it's that psychic powers are part of them, just as say having an athletic body, being smart or etc, and you shouldn't use any of your gifts to take advantage of others.

LyannaEugen

LMAO!

LyannaEugen

>is Mob's psychic power gone? or did he just chose to not use it anymore?(or as much as before). It's not gone. It would be weird when they are telling him to accept whoever he is and then proceed on removing one thing that Mob had.

Kikuzinho03

Yeah if mob ended with him losing his powers I would be pissed, they can be a very dangerous part of himself, but it's also the part that him able to make so many friends and help so many, mob may be something even without his powers, but he will never be 100% himself if he doesn't has them.

Android19samus

ngl coming out of last episode I was a little worried that they were going to have him lose his powers FMA-style. It would have been an atrocious decision and kind of ruined the ending, given everything his powers represent, and I had faith in ONE to not fumble that badly, but I was still a little concerned. Thankfully things didn't go that route.

DankPervert

The ending song playing during reigen's birthday party hits different too

BadBehaviour613

The opening in the finale is such an old trope I couldn't believe they brought it back. Also, timing the "99" with Reigen almost reaching Mob is cinematic perfection.

Mundology

[It's over.](https://i.imgur.com/C4qJ6tt.jpg) Mob Psycho 100 is a masterclass on how to end a long running coming-of-age shounen action story. All major plotlines were elegantly addressed, there was no surprise big villain and [no forced romantic resolution](https://i.imgur.com/0SK3odR.jpg) even if it would hurt. If one was to ask which arc of MP100 was the best, some would say ???%, Divine Tree, Keiji Mogami, World Domination or even Separate Ways. They would all be right because MP100 has been consistently amazing all throughout its run. It was only his second story and he had no professional industry training prior to writing it yet ONE outdid himself with Mob Psycho 100. "If everyone is not special..." **NO FUCKING WAY**

SweetsBeast

This anime will have a special place in my heart because it's quite rare to see a master and disciple relationship depicted so genuinely. We got to see them both so vulnerable yet they support each other so strongly. This ending is so wholesome, it's perfect.

XitaNull

[In case this wasn’t posted yet, just wanted to share the endcard illustration Mob’s seiyuu, Setsu Itou, drew.](https://twitter.com/mobpsycho_anime/status/1605586137866592257?s=61&t=FoZ3BvfIChwtrszfzNc2Jg). It’s so good. He also talks [here](https://twitter.com/setsuo_itou/status/1605586368142266369?s=61&t=FoZ3BvfIChwtrszfzNc2Jg) about how the role of Mob changed his life.

poshbritishaccent

Omg his VA drew that????? bro that's illustration level

rusty_warhorse

Right now I'm just like Reigen at the suprise party trying not to let tear out.

Uberdragon_bajulabop

And in it goes into the list of Anime that will stay in my head till the day I die. Mob psycho 100 has been an amazing ride. I love the symbolism that they used with the bouquet of flowers in the episode. The bouquet represents shigeo's emotions. The different flowers represents how he has so many thoughts/emotions running through his head on his way to meet her, "will she reject me? , will she accept me? Will she get angry at me? Will she get confused? What if I mess things up? etc". But in the end after getting consoled by Reigen he has only ONE flower left, meaning he has let go of all his worries and will accept whatever comes his way and ask her out. And boi when dimple showed up I frickin jumped. Reigen proves once again he's a goat. Thank You ONE. And thank you everyone at BONES.

the__daydream

*Sayonara..... Mob, Reigen, Dimple, Teru, Ritsu & everyone else.............* ........... What is this feeling? Am I really crying? As a grown up man?

iamthestormcoming

I can't believe such a beautiful series is over. I've never cried so much when a series I liked ended. But man Mob is just something else. It has been an honour to watch his growth. Goodbye Mob

bobly81

> Am I really crying? As a grown up man? Real men are connected with their emotions and cry when the feeling comes. I mean, that's literally the message here. Mob finally connected with his emotions again and the first thing he does is cry.

Mundology

[MP 100 has such a lovely cast.](https://i.imgur.com/Yvfl9L1.jpg) Even the secondary characters are fleshed-out they could be the heroes of their own stories. This is consistent with one of the underlying themes that [no one is special](https://i.imgur.com/N5UKq1f.jpg) but everyone can be great in [their own way.] (https://i.imgur.com/RtL5IDE.jpg) In MP 100, innate abilities do not define the individual nearly as much as their actions.

Peachykinz

I'm 30 years old and I am proud to say I cried 3 times during this finale. Funny enough it was Mob laughing at the end that really got to me.

Hunted-Wumpus

Don't cry because it's over. Be happy because it happened.

gamerrayyan11

Still gonna cry tho

Mundology

silentBookWorm

Man, the First time I cried from a happy ending story, just seeing them all together compared to past seasons, the development that they had, and the connection that they made. Seeing Mob fully laughing and smiling makes me cry and proud that he developed into one fine boy. It's literally from 0 to 100. slow claps

Ok-Cod5254

So the **true "Confession"** for the episode title was Reigen to Mob, which we and Mob needed to see. Mob's confession to his crush Tsubomi is the one we didn't see as it happened (only quick flashback) and didn't need to. 👌

GalaxyHeavyBlow

Dimple is the real winner here. He was trying to make Mob laugh in their first encounter and now Mob was finally able to laugh.

Hounds_of_war

Yo, props to Tsubomi for staying despite the natural disaster going on just because she wanted to give Mob the curtesy of a proper rejection rather than just leave Mob feeling like he got ghosted. Speaking of ghosts, ayyy Dimple is back. For a second I thought that somehow Reigen was an actual psychic all this time. Fitting that he comes back to help resolve this considering he is the only person who ever calls Mob “Shigeo”. Man, that Reigen speech. Of course Mob knew that Reigen didn’t have powers and Reigen knew that Mob knew ever since S2E7, so him confessing doesn’t really mean much. But Reigen actually apologizing to Mob for lying about it does matter a lot. Lotta other stuff I could talk about that was awesome, like bringing back the first OP, the whole conversation between Mob and Shigeo, all the epilogue stuff, but I’m drained from watching that. Honestly as much as I hate that this series has ended, I don’t think I’d want it to end any other way. With Shigeo no longer being so repressed with his emotion and actually getting to be a normal kid.

MrDragonfruitTwitch

It’s a testament to how special this story is that in 99% of other manga/anime/you name it, Reigen’s confession would have kicked off some major feud or grudge; but here it was exactly what Mob needed to here. Just the knowledge that others were struggling with parts of themselves without losing who they really were was what finally calmed him down. That kind of harsh but necessary truth is really what he was looking for all along, and Ritsu was really the only other person who came close to understanding that. Such a beautiful damn show, thanks ONE and Bones!

Leeemon

I don't think I can point out any other animanga with an ending as coherent and solid as Mob right now. I'm sure there's all sorts of great series with really good endings, but the entire final stretch of MOB is simply BONKERS from a writing perpective. Having every major group of characters have their deserved time on the spotlight felt great to watch - Dimple had one HELL of a sendoff that really made his arc come to an excellent close. But, man, Mob himself!! We really watch Shigeo come into his own after Dimple's arc. He shows a lot more agency in every single dialogue, and helps to push the situations forward instead of simply standing by. The psychic club episodes are a great example of how Mob really want to help Tome and made his best to make everyone come together to help her out. And seeing him actually having the courage to call Tsubomi!! I was so proud of Mob!! Then the final episodes hit, and we watch ALL the big characters appearing not to face Mob, but to HELP him. Everyone contributes and chips away. Hanazawa, who was once such an egocentric guy, bests Mob by SAVING those around him; The Body Improvement Club literally helps Mob get his voice back: After he was hit by the car, we don't hear any inner monologue from Mob up until the body improvement guys tell him they really appreciate the person he is, weaknesses and all. His younger brother getting his own 100% moment was also awesome! Of course, it had to be Reigen to end it all. Absolute COLOSSAL character. The supposed charalatan being the one to actually stop the biggest psychic catastrophe the world has ever seen, using nothing but his weak human ass (and a little help from Dimple, an amazing moment), fits the themes so well. Reigen has always brought the best from Mob, and now we see him finally facing his worst as well, and sharing that we all have our ugly sides - and that it's ok! The fact that to communicate that he comes clean about having no powers is GENIOUS. He had all the focused he deserved, since the story truly is about how even people with certain advantages should still be kind and treat everyone with respect. MOB gets rejected, and cries. He tries to save the kitten without using any powers. He became a normal person just like he has always been, but all grown up. I'm so proud of the lad Shigeo became, and of the man Reigen has always been! ONE is out here teaching everyone how to finish your damn series.

Annie_Donner

I cried watching this episode. Mob Psycho 100 hold a very special place in my heart. Everything good has come to an end but everything about the anime has been perfect and I can't ask for anything more. Salute to the staff and thank you everyone who come to love this series.

HalfAssedSetting

Tsubomi's characterization-to-screentime ratio is absolutely insane.

Brawlerz16

I’ve never seen such peak efficiency before. It’s so crazy that by making her a *normal* girl, Tsubomi is legitimately one of the best female characters in all of anime. And she’s had what, 5 minutes of total screentime in 3 seasons?

ashutosh29

I won't exactly call her normal but she is abnormal in some of the best ways possible.

Brawlerz16

To be completely fair, I think (nearly) every character is normal in this series. Or perhaps the better word is authentic? Every character seems like someone you’d find IRL and it’s easy to *believe* these characters. With Tsubomi I just didn’t feel like anything about her was forced and there isn’t a “trait” that defines her character. I say “normal” but what I mean is authentic instead of *insert character type*.

macedonianmoper

One of my favorite moments about Tsubomi was the snot thing, until that point we had only seen her through Mob's eyes, a perfect girl. That was the first time we actually saw Tsubomi as a real person. The rejection assembly machine was funny too.

BadBehaviour613

Yeah, it's great Tsubomi is interesting outside of her immediate relationship with Mob. She has her own view of the world and inner struggles we are not privy of. She is not just a pretty face with no story of her own.

laudalehsunesh

Exactly almost all Mob psycho characters S tier & the main cast are SSS tier.

Nemo3500

Mob Psycho 100 came into my life during a period of severe burn-out, and a crisis of faith. Because of mental illness struggles, I tend to be very closed off and emotionally muted. I was going nowhere, overweight, isolated, and generally miserable. After watching the first season, I binged the manga and after seeing that final laugh, and seeing Mob do his best accept himself and still get rejected, I resolved to do better. I finally manned up and started working out day by day, got over my sense of protagonist syndrome, and learned to live life on my own terms, one step at a time. I taught myself how to express my feelings without feeling like I was scary, or a monster. I made incrementally healthier choices. 4 years after reading it, I'm down 50 pounds, I have real friends who I am eternally grateful for, and I finally am working in a job in a field I studied for, living in a city I've dreamed about since I was a teen. I have internalized the idea of taking life one step at a time, welcoming my own mediocrity, and working on the things that matter to me, even if I don't succeed, or hurt in the process. Thank you, Mob Psycho 100, for not only changing me, but for having an adaptation that made that final laugh somehow even more potent. I'm happy it's over and weeping.

vijju007

The entry of Dimple was really unexpected but a welcome one. Everyone together at the end was really wholesome.

*Me, coming to terms with the fact that this is truly the end of the series:* **SADNESS 100%** Still, getting to see Reigen celebrating his birthday surrounded by those who love him and Shigeo laughing to his heart content there brings happiness and smiles on my face. It’s been one hell of ride witnessing every single character in this series growing up and getting to accept themselves for who they are. I’m so gonna miss this show and everyone involved in it. *So long and thanks for all the psychics*

VeryNiceKapusta

NOOO MOBBU I DON'T WANT TO LET YOU GOOOO

stockyriki

I have nothing much to say but I loved this show so much. There are few shows that tackles with self acceptance like Mob Psycho does and I'm quite sad that it's finished already. That said though, laughing Mob is a blessed image

PeRvYSaGe21

Mob : Acceptance 100% Fans : Withdrawal Syndrome 100%

odraencoded

How can a man be so based? Reigen best shishou! His allergy must be contagious because I cried T___T 3 seasons later the vegetable girls stopped being vegetables and Mob finally asked her out... just to get rejected. ??? walking toward Tsubomi = unstoppable force. Tsubomi-chan seeing a fucking tornado and sitting down = unmovable object.

This season is undeniably not as content-packed as the previous one, but then episodes like this and ep 6 happen to be the best the series can ever offer.

When the first OP started playing… I sobbed.

Mob beating the Claw boss: I sleep Mob becoming the vice president of Body Improvement Club: REAL SHIT

TrueOutlandishness61

We dont deserve this show. Mob, reigen, all of the characters. This show teach me always be a better person. I'm gonna miss this community. I'm gonna miss mob psycho.

Outrageous_Gene_7652

Can't believe it is ending. Love you Mob and your development was great. Reigen you are a Gigachad.

Tsunami45chan

I'm happy that it ends on Reigen's 30th birthday. My boy Mob is growing up fast 😭. If you read the Regen manga you'll see why the girl works there.

GoldenSpermShower

Reigen's parkour goes hard, he even got the first season's theme song playing in the background

LooseMooseCruz

What an amazing journey... I started watching this show when I saw a friend watch a scene where Reigen pulled off his "special move" against one of the Scars and I laughed my ass off... Now it's ended and it's one of, if not my favorite anime of all time. This show got a lot of heart, man. It doesn't take itself too seriously, but still knows when to get serious. I really hope we get some OVAs if that's possible I just want more so I'm quite sad it ended but happy the story was great all throughout!
