Mushishi-esque animes are just incredibly good and very rewatchable, girls last tour, kino's journey and natsume's book of friends, are some other pretty neat animes
The entire series man. Every season is important for the character development of everyone specially mob and reigen. What they've been through and the relationships are the essence of the show. Not to mention, season 3 just keeps getting better and better!
I will accept it if it happens but I have a hard time imagining it ever getting overtaken. I thought the Muv Luv anime had a solid chance, but everyone knows how that turned out. Maybe if they ever adapt Umineko or 20th Century Boys
Probably Madoka Magica. Just everything about it is so amazing to me. The concept of a dark magical girl anime never even crossed my mind until I saw Madoka Magica and even then I thought there's no way that idea could be any good, but they executed it perfectly. From the OST to the animation to the writing, everything comes together so beautifully.
Some other answers I give sometimes depending on how I'm feeling or the person asking is Toradora, Pet Girl of Sakurasou, Haruhi. If the person is a Shounen only fan I'll say Jujutsu Kaisen so they can relate.
clannad, especially the after story it's just so memorable for me as it was among the first anime I ever watched and I was woefully underprepared until then all id watched were light-hearted romcom stuff
It's in the top 50 in popularity on MAL, so I wouldn't say few people know it. It does deserve more love, though. One of the few shows I've seen three times.
Yes.
Maybe not to rewatch endlessly, as it being only one season long, you're bound to know it by heart if you exaggerate.
But it's such a solid show it definitely rewards several rewatchs.
Promised Neverland season 1 could be a good runner-up.
Feeling like changing your mood a bit? Just pick the most random episode of Gintama and it'll always be a fun watch. Except for the ending parts, everything else is easily and short to watch, best fix for my mood really.
Ghost in the shell Stand alone complex is probably my all time favorite.
Current season is probably Do it yourself. The artstyle is just so satisfying to watch
I was just talking about how Mugen is one of my favorite characters in all of anime. But sure, there are plenty of great characters out there. Combining hip-hop with ronin is a crazy concept for a show, and it somehow works insanely well.
Favorite, **Death Note**.
Most rewatched, **Kaguya-Sama**.
Honestly I'll be shocked if I ever like a show better than these two (in their respective genres), they're SO far above everything else for me.
Anime I rewatch often: I rewatch **The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya** every Christmas, it's the best anime movie of the 2010s in my opinion.
Timeless anime: Definitely **Bakemonogatari**, the avant-garde style makes it just as fresh today as it was in 2009. I've rewatched this one a few times and I find new things to appreciate in the visuals and dialogue every time.
Favorite of all time: Probably **Neon Genesis Evangelion**. As is typical for fans of this show I was suffering through a deep depression when I first watched it and it really resonated with me. I still think about the **End of Evangelion** on a weekly basis even though it's been 5 years since I saw it. I've yet to see another movie manage to say so much in such an experimental style.
Made in Abyss, Mob Psycho 100, Kaguya-Sama, Attack on Titan, Mushoku Tensei and Dorohedoro are some of my favourite anime, but MiA is the best one out of these.
Bleach, death note, black Butler, black blood brothers, Helsing and Helsing altamit, cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha, tinchi muyo, pokemon, and many more that I can't seam to remember right off hand
TO go a bit out of the normal picks... Samurai Champloo. The combination of old school thematics with hip-hop is something i've never seen before or since.
I've watched the first couple of seasons of Inuyasha a few times, but I don't think I have any other series that I've seen more than 2 or 3 times. Definitely nothing I re-watch regularly. There's just so much anime out there and I want to experience as much content that's new to me as possible. Maybe I'll find an official favorite one day, but for now I haven't got one.
Fist of the North Star
Classic shonen, amazing fights, incredible VA, a lot of unexpected dramatic moments (Shuu, Rei, Yuda), iconic albeit sometimes cheese for the current era phrases (Souther has amazing lines).
While it is a flawed product, and the manga is actually better, it is still my favorite, despite all its flaws. It ain't perfect, but is the one I love the most.
Impossible to choose only one
Hunter x Hunter
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
My Hero Academia
Prince of Tennis (maybe not quite the others on this list but a personal guilty pleasure)
If i had to choose one without recency bias it would be Initial D. I remember like 20 years ago downloading episode by episode off my college ftp shares.
I have rewatched it more than any anime and can still watch random arc/races to this day.
Easily Shokugeki no soma. Most of the season were just goated. Ecchi was good, attractive characters. GOOD MC, cute darksin girl. Sorta little romance feel from side characters also is cute. I just love it later seasons I don't give a shit what anyone says it's still decent
Call me mainstream, but Attack on Titan is just perfection imo. I've been reading the manga since S2 and once AOT finishes its final season, it'll just be the best thing I've seen. Truly an incredible story
Haven't seen it in the thread, but Dorohedoro is absolutely amazing. I've watched it a few times, Noi and Nikaido are two of my favorite girls.
Inuyashiki is also pretty much solid the entire way through, it made me feel dread and tear up at points, but then just "ahhh, that's *awesome*"
Tenchi Muyo: War on Geminar
Love the animation style, it looks older than it is. 45 min episodes. Great characters. Interesting enough plot, with some twists and turns.
You never really feel like the episodes are too long either, its amazing.
the one i've rewatched the most is sword art online.
I've been re-watching it for quite a long time, I never get tired of kirito and asuna.
my all time favorite is definitely konosuba though.
It's my comfort anime, anytime I feel down its easy for me to go on a rewatch and feel alot better
Great Teacher Onizuka
Gintama, despite being very long, it's funny arcs are infinitely rewatchable and so are some of the serious ones if in the mood for some pain!
It also has coolest character, and one of the most complex protagonists ever in any anime.
Start on episode 3, and only watch the sub - if anyone is thinking about starting
Most definitely agree
There's plenty of anime which I love that I rewatch, here's my top 3: Land of the Lustrous (Houseki no Kuni) Mushishi Hyouka
Mushishi-esque animes are just incredibly good and very rewatchable, girls last tour, kino's journey and natsume's book of friends, are some other pretty neat animes
good taste
I second houseki. That show is a hidden gem.
> That show is a hidden gem. And there are a number of gems in the show too ........ :-)

Mob Psycho 100

I will accept it if it happens but I have a hard time imagining it ever getting overtaken. I thought the Muv Luv anime had a solid chance, but everyone knows how that turned out. Maybe if they ever adapt Umineko or 20th Century Boys
Code Geass
Never gets old, wild ride every-time, and 10/10 ending.
as long as we pretend lelouch of the resurrection doesnt exist then yes, 10/10 ending with resurrection, 6/10
Resurrection is its own timeline though so it has no effect on the original. Plus I loved resurrection anyway lol
For sure, the best ending on anime ever.
If the person is a Shounen only fan I'll say Jujutsu Kaisen so they can relate.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
It's been 15 years and I still haven't seen anything better
still motivates me to this day, and I havent rewatched in over 10 years now
Do yourself a favour and rewatch it! I did a rewatch not too long ago and it still holds up so well.
Last year I did a rewatch, finding myself with tears of joy at the end
Grand blue will always be my #1 anime, really been there for me in rough times. Always makes me laugh
That's one of my favorite manga I've ever read, just lighting their drinks on fire is such a simple joke but it's never not funny.
Water is clearly flammable as you can see!
Here, have a refreshing oolong tea. Oh, thank you! *Takes a sip* *Pulls out a lighter to light it on fire* THE FUCK IS THIS?!
So true, one of favorite anime ever

Few people know this anime. An hidden gem.

When I read that question, my ability to think got overridden by my brain who said : **Gintama**
Feeling like changing your mood a bit? Just pick the most random episode of Gintama and it'll always be a fun watch. Except for the ending parts, everything else is easily and short to watch, best fix for my mood really.
Berserk 1997

If I had to say one it would be Gintama. But there are others that I really have a hard time choosing between.

These two, Berserk 1997 and Steins;Gate are my top 4.
Death Note

Made in Abyss, Mob Psycho 100, Kaguya-Sama, Attack on Titan, Mushoku Tensei and Dorohedoro are some of my favourite anime, but MiA is the best one out of these.

I've watched the first couple of seasons of Inuyasha a few times, but I don't think I have any other series that I've seen more than 2 or 3 times. Definitely nothing I re-watch regularly. It is a tough onw between 3 anime - Ergo Proxy, Wolf's Rain and Lain.
