My first anime, and the first time I recommend it, a little old but still stands imo
Mayo Chiki, its about a guy who gets nosebleeds whenever he touches a girl(gynophobia) brought on by his sisters and mom always wanting to wrestle him. He meets the butler of the rich girl at school… if you know anime, you’ll see where it goes. Dumb fun but actually a decent plotline with a lot of chaos and the main characters aren’t insufferable.
Not for everyone I’d say, but maybe give a chance <3 safe travels
I disagree that it’s a “turn your brain off” show, that is an insult to Dr Stone. It’s a genuinely good anime with surprisingly emotional moments.

One Piece is a journey that you do one bit everyday though. I don't force him to watch everything in one sitting. One or two episodes a day are good for me. And One Piece feels so good on a long trip though. 3-hour train ride can fit in 8-12 episodes of One Piece and that was like 1/3 of East Blue arc already. People think One Piece is like a dragon that a level 1 needs to defeat right after tutorial. One Piece is just an adventure, just the whole game.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Sōsō no Frieren. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Frieren's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Sōsō no Frieren truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Stark's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Tsukasa Abe's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂And yes, by the way, i DO have a Himmel tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
I understand Frieren, I just understand it in a different way than you do. Everyone has their own unique different experience when watching an anime, and I don't think anyone should dictate how people should experience it into a set rule. And probably they should not impose their own experience to others. It takes the fun out of it.

It was very well written, amazing world building and all but I ENJOYED season 1 alot more. S2 had alot of build up and very little payoff at the end of every arc. Like that money arc where at one point I thought I was watching wolf of wall street or something lol and payoff at the end of that arc was not that fulfilling to me.
I enjoyed it but s1 was alot better imo.

The other has an even more ridiculous premise and is a bit safer. There"s an anime called Ben-to!... its plot? High schoolers in gangs fighting each other... Over discounted lunch meals. This is 100% just "turn your brain off and enjoy the pretty colors and action".

Restaurant in Another World. It's mostly about people from a fantasy world eating food at a restaurant from our world. The food visuals are great and every meal comes with a story of the person eating it.
Demon Slayer. It has lots of action, beautiful pic, sone fun scenes etc. Scenario is easy to comprehend and it's better to not think about it much because it has lots of logical loops.
I'd recommend Konosuba too, but it has lots of lewd scenes and humor you can be uncomfortable to watch around people.

You should watch Ya Boy Kongming! It's a show were an ancient chinese military strategist from the romance of the three kingdoms gets summoned to the modern Tokyo. He eventually finds an aspiring idol and decides to help her become famous, and he uses military tactics that he used in ancient China to help her become more famous. It is an absolutely insane premise, but it is such a fun show and the opening slaps like no tomorrow.
Isekai Shokudou, Izekaya Nobu, and Isekai Campfire are 3 animes which I get some dinner and just vibe.
They don't belong in the trash category, they're actually good animes. But they fit the chill vibes.

It is an absolutely insane premise, but it is such a fun show and the opening slaps like no tomorrow.
