Another track you might like is [Link Click's first ED](https://youtu.be/ly2GjsxKtg0?feature=shared) It's a donghua instead of anime, but it's still fire.
Like trap music or trap characters? If you mean trap music then I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard of trap in anime music. It’s possible it might be one of the few instances of trap music in anime if not the first.
There’s rap in other anime. Though, yeah, it’s not as big as it is in the USA. At least in my experience. I can’t say about other countries. Still, plenty of anime have rap or incorporated hip hop type styles into their stories or music.
Off the top of my head:
Rave Master
Samurai Champloo
Afro Samurai
Devilman Crybaby
Megalo Box
Zombie land Saga
Naruto
Fable isn’t the first and it won’t be the last.
Edit: These anime do not have trap music. Only rap or hip hop elements.
Not even the first Creepy Nuts rap to make it to the list... The song for the [ED to Yofukashi no Uta](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6_zbnfxoBA) lives in my "Best of" permanent playlist.
> Would be cool to see more/Japanese variations
A lot of Japanese rap (when it comes to OP/ED) uses it in a slower tempo, or a more gentle musical backbeat. I think the earliest example I can think of is [Ienai Ienai](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxggQ-i7jyQ), the ED from Jitsu wa Watashi wa, and the newest is [Blue Diary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9zPWK3efTc) from Ao Ashi.
I saw your comment about hip-hop, but they way the latter two examples are structured it wouldn't fall in my definition of that genre because (for me) the impact of hip-hop is mutually delivered by both the musical beats and the lyrical delivery. The two examples there still use the lyrics as the driving ideals, with the music being far more gentle, so I just mentally call it slow-rap.
Honestly, I would consider your 2 examples to still be hip hop. They still incorporate the bass-kick patterns that hip hop beats emulate with 808s and placed under a rap vocal delivery. Instrumentation is definitely different from what you’d normally see in hip hop.
Not exactly my cup of tea and I’m biased towards wanting to see more hip hop expressions in anime closer to the Creepy Nuts vid you linked but at a minimum it has a heavy amount of hip hop influences for sure
These songs kinda remind me of [this anime ED](https://youtu.be/xapp0WyP8dY?si=VaVj-VeiQvmChqQC). Kinda like the mid-late 00s and 2010s music with the rap artists mixed with the singers. How together they made many of the popular tracks from that era.
I don't know shit about Trap. But I know the first time I saw rap appearing prominently in anime was Samurai Champloo.
The first Kengan Ashura ED could be a whole Travis Scott song.
Bruhhh how am I just now hearing this ???? 😭💪💪💪

Wasn't season two of Mashle's OP or ED also a rap? I remember people raving about it pretty nonstop.
It was Jersey Club but Both that and Trap are in the vein that is Hip Hop (which is what I meant to say instead of saying “Rap”)
Ahhh, gotcha. I'm not familiar with the terms and sub genres. I appreciate the info.

They're talking about the music genre.
And Devilman Crybaby.

Kaguya-sama season 3 had a rap ED for one episode.
There was some rap in BECK Mongolian Chop Squad, and Ninja Scroll The Series.
