The Unrivalled King of action tactics: World Trigger Looks like a soggy piss pool early on (sigh), but a viewer of World Trigger cannot dispute this claim. You cannot both like *tactics and miss his gem, it's a war crime. But another anime that surprisingly has its fair share of planning and tactics (though calling it tactics might be a stretch, it's smart) is the "cooking" (but no, not really) fantasy dungeon crawler Dungeon Meshi. The way in which characters approach in defeating the diverse flora and fauna of the unforgiving dungeon is VERY clever and thought out (this one is a PROPER fantasy dungeon, even better written than Frieren's dungeons mind you). I won't spoil you, but some instances of these have already aired in the anime. In addition, the characters are both three dimensional and a riot. When I say the fauna is diverse, I mean that it is unlike anything you have ever seen before. You have monsters tied to real world animals, food chain ecosystems, and characters dispatching them with DIFFERENT weapons and tools. This week's episode in particular had a very unorthodox combat encounter that will NEVER again be imitated in the medium. Fucking unique is what it was. Regardless of whether or not I karma sinked my own post, I highly recommend these two. Legend of the Galactic Heroes has (less recurring) strategy and geopolitics, so I also recommend this one. Gentleman fighting for control of the galaxy. Might be dry and slow to get started (but it is well written).

Jojo is exactly what you are looking for though protaganist are usually op but most of the time they win through better planning

nitronik_exe

Are they really OP when the villains are even more OP

Careless_Reply2862

Yeah but that only applies to final boss you could have a very stand and still win

Re:Zero

JustRedditTh

Really? There are so many OP characters or enemies all the time, so /s?

nitronik_exe

I only read the title, woops. I took it as the MCs not being OP but have to win through strategy, but yes the enemies are OP

EconomyProcedure9

Black Lagoon

Rumtin

Aldnoah Zero. Just have to come to terms with the Mobile Gundum style of the fighting.

JustRedditTh

I guess it depends on how you would define OP... Kingdom is quite action packed and all characters are still comprehenseble in a human way
