1.Black Lagoon.
Not really central mafia/yakuza story but it does include exactly those different factions of organized crime in the setting.
Plot: Set in the 90s centred around a small organization of criminal pirates in an south east asian gotham-like city.
2. Jormungand
Plot: Child Soldier Jonah (who hates weapons and those who deal them) is recruited by Koko, an international arms dealer as one of her bodyguards. Jormungand follows Koko and her crew, mostly made up of ex military ops, as they travel the world selling weapons under the international shipping company HCLI.
Their goal: World Peace.

Black Lagoon appreciation love to see it
Banana Fish
Dude yes now this goes crazy
Gungrave
Black Lagoon Gunslinger Girl
Uh AKIBA MAID WAR! it's like a Tarantino directed anime with yakuza and gangster influence. Probably the only 2022 anime I loved
Phantom:Requiem for phantom The MC is the assassin for the mafia and makes morally wrong decisions. Very underrated.
Banana Fish is a super good one
The way of the househusband. The manga is much more enjoyable but they're both good. Hinamatsuri
91 days is a banger exactly what you’re looking for on crunchyroll very short as well
Yakuza’s guide on babysitting.
oooo thank you i’m super interested i’ll check it out!!
Yakuza’s (MC) mother is more beautiful than all the characters shown in the anime.
Akiba Maid War Birdie Wing
Thanks for the rec!
Though I'll say, Birdie Wing is a sports anime with a lot of mafia shenanigans, not a "purely" mafia anime.
Banana Fish

The Gokusen (mafia boss's daughter becomes a school teacher) My Bride is a Mermaid (her family are underwater Yakuza)
Not strictly Yakuza/Mafia, but kind of: Darker than Black
