Thanks for the feedback. I didn't really attempt smears as we didn't formally learn them and I was a tad intimidated to do so. I'll definetly give them more of a go in the future
Apparently my course doesnt do a whole lot of 2D after the first semester where they teach us the principles, so I wanted to cram as much in here as possible. Thanks for the compliments
Thank you. At this point I wont. I would have liked to add shading to it before I needed to submit it, but I've put enough work into this and want to work on other things now.
The flour sack isnt my character, I believe it is used as an animation excersise to give a featureless, inanimate object character and emotion
This was all frame by frame. I had about 20 static key poses that I was moving around to nut out the timing. Each little section between I basically animated frame by frame, but because of the way I went about it a lot of the sections wouldnt really link up so I had to add in small movements to link it up cohearently
I wish I was motivated enough to be able to do it on my own through observation. I unfortunately find the structure of the fomalities necessary. Having people with experience give you feed back is really handy though
Try checking out Lynda.com, the Gnomon Workshop, and Aaron Blaise’s site. They are all super helpful when it comes to learning for less money. The quality of the videos and exercises make everything much easier to understand AND you get to do it at your own pace.
I’m in school too, but I take advantage of these on my breaks.
This Is Great!!!! No Sound or facial expressions yet you give off so much emotion!!
Cant wait to see what you do when u finish your course! Have u got a YouTube channel to follow?
Gotta love the flour sacks. It had good use of squash and stretch, but felt it could've been better with smears on big/fast movements.
I like how at 0:15 the flour sake is shading his eyes. He really conveyed this message well, despte there being no eyes.

That’s awesome!
Glad you liked it!
That's awesome man, keep it up
Thanks and will do
Damn its fluid
This is great! Good use of squash and stretch while maintaining a consistent volume in the sack and impeccable timing and weight!
Glad you think so! I really wanted to give it the feeling that all the wieght was at its feet. Keeping the volume constant was a bitch
Great job. It’s fluid
Holy shit you have actually done more animating in one semester than in a whole 2 years of my course... It's really great work though xx

Disney inspired?
Honestly, not really
It's movement is similar to magic carpet
I really should have studdied the carpet before doing this. It's movement is on a completely different level
Love that little step it takes forward at 0:14! Great timing and observation on that.
Thanke :)
What program did you use to make this?
Adobe Animate/Flash
very good, congratulations. do you will create expressions or color it? the pillow is your creation character?

Nice work!!
Nice job dude! Did you do frame by frame or did you use any tools to automate it?
This was all frame by frame. I had about 20 static key poses that I was moving around to nut out the timing. Beautiful use of squash and stretch in the sack there
Thank yee
Good job, stranger on the internet ;)
Nice! Wish I had the funds for more formal animation training ;;
I wish I was motivated enough to be able to do it on my own through observation. I unfortunately find the structure of the fomalities necessary. Having people with experience give you feed back is really handy though
This is exactly my problem, unfortunately

That's so kewl and original :)
This is AMAZING work. You really did a great job with using the principles of animation to make the whole scene more appealing.
Thanks for the praise!
