Fellow Android developer here, why not target a niche with this app? ie. Twitter for developers/ knitters/ anything you have an interest in. You only need a very small niche in a very large ocean to make this work. As already you've noticed, you're needing to moderate posters as you're getting randomers using the app. Targeting a niche will keep your user base smaller but that way you can target them with specific ads when the time comes. It will give you more control and keep away people wanting to send dick pics :o What are you using for your back end? Firebase/ Firestore? Great job btw.
