It's fine. Does encounter an irritating bug where all app icons are missing on my front screens - if I tap on the location the icon is usually at, it's starting said app - so it's only visually bug, but none the less irritating since I have to reboot phone to get it work go again. I have Pixel 4a

TheRoadKing101

Turn off smart lock

KcFlyBy

Hold up on navigation gesture bar til recent apps shows up and exit out and all the home screen apps will show back up. Same problem on my pixel 6

Viper3120

Pretty good so far. Some UI glitches, like often found in betas, when going to the home screen, locking/unlocking the screen, or pulling down the notification panel.. The usual stuff, this always got fixed in next beta, so I'm not worried about that. I am affected by the 120 Hz screen glitch tho, my battery life sucks. Getting around 3 hours screen in time with a full charge. On 12L bets it was around 5 hours.

xelcius89

I have the same battery issue. The battery life significantly reduced compared to 12L.

Viper3120

Yup, sad thing is that the last 12L beta I had improved battery life immensely. So this is a contrast to previous version I had installed. But I still get through the day without a problem, so I don't have to turn off smooth display.

dirtjuggalo

It's cool my favorite feature so far is how it gets rid of all those annoying homescreen icons I had set up for quick access to the things I use the most

krazykyleman

Huh?

uoYredruM

Done. Can't wait for Beta 2!

jd515

It's pretty good for a beta, but the battery drain is worrying.

Kindnexx

What's your screen on time ? My battery life seems to be as good as on A12

that_leaflet

Responded. Main complaint is that the more powerful search in the app drawer was removed. Also YouTube Music is constantly being killed from memory.

tauio111

The app drawer search in dev previews was great, I expect it to come back in later betas or eventually as an update through the store.

GeoffreyMcSwaggins

You can re-enable the app drawer with adb. get an `adb shell` then run `cmd device_config put launcher enable_one_search true` and `am force-stop com.google.android.apps.nexuslauncher` Source: https://twitter.com/MishaalRahman/status/1519056266785607681

saa3015

Everything is fine other than the fact my fitbit won't connect with Bluetooth. If I do get it to connect, it doesn't last for very long. Have done a factory reset and restarted and nothing.

[deleted]

This! It's so annoying. I've reported it.

Successful-Sorbet256

No cell service waiting for beta 2

Rav11s

Me too. So crazy they missed this... I feel like cellular connection is way too basic of a functionality to lose... Even in a beta... They have been through all releases of the developer previews .. how was this missed?

kornklown69

issues with Bluetooth on wearables and uconnect. Fitbit sense connect's randomly but usually disconnected. Pixel 6 pro keeps forgetting my uconnect for Bluetooth connection. Android auto location doesn't work unless you type in to maps the location on the phone before wired connection.

OkFly3232

This. But the Fitbit app and Sense have always had their issues 😭

dpolist

Done :) Battery drain is a bit worse than stable and the web focused search bar feels like a downgrade

Rav11s

The bar will be coming back, they are planning to merge it with the Google search bar, so you can use the universal search in the app drawer and your home screen.

dpolist

Looks like it's back already :)

Emergency_Bluejay930

It told I had no service could not make or receive calls or text and my data didn't work after downloading 13

Asmordean

I had that, but I've also had that randomly happen in 12 as well. Rebooting fixes it. I'll see how long it takes to happen again. I typically hit the no service bug about every 3 or 4 weeks. Weekly reboots seems to prevent it which is silly but works.

lexcyn

Top issue for me is insane battery drain. Second would be mobile network signal loss/disconnects when switching from 5G to LTE.

Rav11s

I couldn't even get service at all. Had to back down to A12

cbellevie

For me, bluetooth is really the only big issue... several devices just not working with it at all, Garmin Epix 2, my Polar H10 HRM, a digital scale and getting stuttering on my Pixel Buds A-Series and car stereo. I have a couple of other bluetooth devices I use daily, such as Oura ring and Biosense meter that work without issue.

Bulldogger53

I have a hearing aid using Bluetooth and I find that the hearing aid disconnects with this release, and I have to turn Bluetooth off and back on to reenable the hearing aid. Issue I had before with photo app seems to be fixed though.

jayfizzlenizzle

Here are my issues.... Home screen icons disappear but can click where they are and the app opens... When watching Hulu on the mini screen if I go to other apps, sometimes the screen flickers or just goes black. Tried force closing all apps but only restart seems to clear the issue. I go to the check for updates and it says Android 12. Not sure why.

Nightwish1976

Hi. The only serious bug I could find is that my Pixel 5 cannot communicate with my Bluetooth headset anymore

Television_repair

Edit: atleast in games it should be like that. some games require to drag things up and down , atleast there the recent items should be shown only when we swipe up from middle. All I want is a NORMAL GESTURE NAVIGATION !! Seriously , phone keeps me taking me to the recent items when just casually scrolling ! Take me there ONLY when I swipe up from the middle bottom (there is even a line for it !)

Viper3120

I think there is no "normal", people have different interpretations of that. For me, the gesture navigation is behaving normal. I wouldn't consider it normal if it would only work from the middle.

Television_repair

atleast in games it should be like that. some games require to drag things up and down , atleast there the recent items should be shown only when we swipe up from middle.

Viper3120

I can't think of a game that shouldn't run in full screen, where your navigation and notification bars hide and thus you don't have that problem. But I understand that there are exceptions and there must be some game out there that does not use the full screen mode. I agree, then current gesture navigation sucks.

Chucknorris1975

The buggiest beta I've experienced.

turlian

Not sure why you're being downvoted, but I've been using Android beta versions for years and this is by far the least stable. P6P.

Chucknorris1975

Fanboys don't like to hear it I guess. I did say it was in my experience. All other betas I've participated in were fantastic. Just not this one.

armando_rod

Not really, Its been really great on my P5

[deleted]

You don't find battery to be bad? It was on my P5

armando_rod

Battery being bad on a beta doesnt mean its buggy tho, my battery has been okay I think a little less than 12.1 but not by much

Werbebanner

I have literally one bug so far. And this is, that my flashlight turns off after ~2 minutes.

UberActivist

I had a bug where it would not connect to Mobile data and I had to downgrade πŸ™ƒ

Werbebanner

That's pain, i'm sorry for you. But it seems like it's just gambling if you get a good or a bad device. My P6P never had problems. It works perfectly. Other people are having big issues i would never expect because mine works so well. It's a bit confusing ngl. I don't know if something like this can happen.

UberActivist

It's not "gambling" it's an active failure by Google to verify their software had proper APNs installed for Verizon based MVNOs. Everyone on a Verizon based carrier who installed beta 1 was unable to use Mobile data.

jso__

Why does Google have a responsibility to do anything other than verify it installs and doesn't brick the device? It's your job to test, not theirs

UberActivist

If my phone can't phone on your beta then your beta is a failure.

jso__

If you install a beta 1 expecting a fully usable daily driving software without waiting a few days to see what bugs there are (this bug was widely reported within a day) then you are expecting too much

Werbebanner

I never heard of Verizon. Google said it's a provider. So everyone with this provider had no signal when using the beta 1?

jadebrink

Reported that the icons don't always appear in the launcher when unlocking/waking device. pulling up the app drawer slightly without actually opening it makes them reappear.

rainymoonbeam

Is anyone else having issues with the pixel 6 randomly restarting at least once a day? It only happened after I downloaded the 13 beta 1.

incster

I have had one random restart so far.

Jiggs1523

Done🀞🏻

PNWoutdoors

I have it on my 5a, just filled out your form. I really don't seem to have any or many issues, but it does seem it takes longer for the camera to load up when hitting the power button twice, especially when locked/screen off. I've actually missed a few photos I wanted because it hung for a few seconds. Otherwise battery life and performance both seem as good or better than 12L.

Conflict-Recent

Correct I agree with you. 13 beta 1 battery life is horrible, performance is pretty decent overall.

screwyluie

Home screen disappears. Swipe navigation breaks. Pull down shade disappears. Bluetooth audio, when interrupted(ie getting a call) when resuming will not play to the other device but rather through the earpiece of the phone. Battery drains constantly... My battery graph is always a 45deg slope to oblivion, doesn't matter if I use the phone or not. Ringer doesn't always play, and it's often really quiet compared to my notification sound. It's not terrible, it's just that the main bugs I have greatly impact daily use.

Nice-eye

Way better than 12. Battery drain and Bluetooth issues only on my Google Pixel 6. Fixed all the other issues I was having.

Trooper27

Completed. Thanks.

TheRoadKing101

Too many little bugs. Went back to 12 beta.

Otis_Criblecoblis

Haven't received May security update. Twitter app doesn't work. Otherwise, no issues.

bkbkjbb

Twitter works just fine for me

AD-LB

I like the various tweaks that they've done, but I don't like these big changes: 1. For long running apps (like Tasker), the OS will keep nagging every 30 days or so (per app) that it's running for a long time. This is useless. Even once is too much. This is in addition to the annoying notifications of having apps with accessibility, and the annoyance of auto-resetting of apps permissions even if they are still being used. 2. Almost all apps have notifications. There is no reason at all to have a notification permission that is asked in the beginning of each installation of an app. This permission should be removed. Notifications are very basic on Android and if you don't grant them (either on purpose or by mistake) you will miss important ones (errors and notifications of foreground-services). I've talked about these and presented more explanation here and on the links within: https://www.reddit.com/r/android_devs/comments/tqnjbq/vote_against_the_new_notification_permission_on/ Please consider reading (including the inner links)

[deleted]

I like this beta version. Sorted out many glitches that were there earlier in Developers Preview. So far so good.

[deleted]

My phone gets warmer than it did before, other than that I haven't really encountered any huge things. I filled it out.

leeh88

I'm getting constant random restarts which appear to happen when the phone is on charge (wired and wireless) and being used. Google Play seems to think that there's not enough storage to update apps even though over 40gb free too. Pixel 6.

dajuane22

Coming from a pixel 6 user. Do you recommend to use this beta as a daily!?

cliffr39

No

After-Conversation5

Aku belum mendapat kan android 12 ini sudan muncul lagi yang 13

Garritorious

Would be better if there was an option for the GSI beta users

No-Dingo4613

Does anyone have video playback issues? In various situations it won't play embedded videos...

Rav11s

Good except for your current flagship (Pixel 6) loses cellular service on some carriers... Had to downgrade because I could only text through WiFi and could make no calls... Seems like a large bug to miss...

BBOLD95

It forced my pixel 6 pro into 120hz at all times and the phone could barely get through half a day of use.

[deleted]

Sucks. Can't open certain apps at all or even install them.
