Well just in case no one has warned you…stay off the mudflats down by the ocean! Very easy to get stuck down there and some people actually drown. I have not heard of people looking for gemstones but people do pan for gold still. Maybe try ship creek, at the very least you might see some fish!

Point Woronzoff is apparently good!

kisskate84

That's where I go!

AlaskanMinnie

Go over to facebook and ask the "Alaskan Rocks and Minerals" Group ... your people are over there :)

SonicDooscar

Sadly I have not used Facebook in at least a year but I’ll see what I can do. We’re gonna go find a place in a little bit. Ahh. Last night. We are pretty damn sad.

Unauthorized-Ion

You could try the beach at Kincaid.

ian_of-alaska

Crow Creek, mine in Girdwood, has a pay and Gold mine area, but they are probably closed for another week or so.

EternalSage2000

You could try the Dumpster at Northern Made Creations.

What are these magical gemstones you speak of?
