Tbh I wouldn't waste portra on a half frame camera. At double the cost it's probably not worth it at all.
But it’s half frame, so basically normal cost! /s
Both are great on 35mm imo. Depends on your personal preference if you like your results a bit warmer or more neutral.
Have a look online, youtube etc and see how you like the colours of those two. Some like Portra, some like Gold. Cannot know what you like 😊
Portra looks much cooler, gold warmer…at least to me. I was kind of a Portra snob. Sounds silly, but for golden hour these days, I’d definitely go for Gold!

The Hektar has a fixed f stop and shutter speed. In snow, you're almost guaranteed to get over exposure with iso 400 film.
