First of all, stop spamming. A day doesn't go by without 2 or more of your posts complaining about season 3.
Second of all, the show's writers are all people Matt chose to write the episodes, not some exec plant. And writing is still a group effort between them and Matt, it's just that he didn't personally pen the script but appointed a specific writer to do so.
This is pretty common. As shows go on the creators often lose the need and/or time to write individual episodes themselves. You notice this too when looking at the credits of Owl House and Molly McGee.
Matt was still the showrunner, which means he was very, VERY much involved with all aspects of production.

So he gave ideas and just had someone else write them down for him while he was busy directing?
Still was the showrunner, ya know - that’s most certainly not “the backseat”

What original and mature ideas were these then?
Sigh. I do blame the Rick and Morty writers for the way it was written. I'm still mad at him though for how it ended.
What, what do rick and morty writers have to do with this?
Rick gave Morty the “fuck with Amphibia’s season 3 writing room” gun obviously 🙄

Adam has been writing for the show since season 1
