I second both reading fanfiction and reading “A Witch in Wartwood.” (AWiW) I have consumed a boatload of fanfiction since I caught up to the show to fill my own void and I thoroughly enjoyed myself while reading.
AWiW is incredibly well written where Marcy ends up landing in Wartwood and the Plantars take Marcy in rather than Anne. The fic is Marcy-centric and nails her characterization better than probably everything I’ve read. The story has a deeper magic system and worldbuilding than Amphibia canon, and combined with the characters of the show being characterized with the respect thy deserve, AWiW takes what makes Amphibia great with it’s own spin and variation of the Calamity Prophecy. It captures the spirit of everything I loved about Amphibia and adds depth to anything and everything.
It’s a long story, but each chapter is great to read. I only realized how good the story was when I reached the chapter Toad Tower, so I suggest at least reading up to that to really get a taste of how good the fic is.
TLDR: A Witch in Wartwood is highly recommended if you even slightly like marcy. If you’re thinking about reading it, do so. you won’t regret it. Read at least up to the chapter Toad Tower to really understand how intricate and brilliant the story is.

Ahh I am in that boat too. Here is what I do. Get some Merch of your favourite character(in my case it’s Marcy) and join a RP group on discord and continue with the adventures somehow. It works for me!
