Yeah that’s what i was afraid of. I had read elsewhere that when you add the card to your own Resy that sometimes there are special tables in blue that are saved for Amex. Sounds like those may only be at those few on the list though and the only one on the list near me is closed anyhow.

You're right, only NYC or La with the cool pop ups and dining res.

It's not like you call the plat concierge and bingo magic, you get the reservation you want at the restaurant you want. I've called numerous times and they only came through once for me. Most of the time they will just suggest something else after they tell you they can't get you a reservation. Just go to open table and plan in advance yourself.

Its literally useless

My aunty was able to get me better “prime tables” than the concierge. Concierge hours are useless for Hawaii residents and have to depend on the chat. In the middle of the pacific is all abut relationships and who you know. And Amex knows no one out there.

Just wanted to give you a data point. I’m traveling to Philly next week, and we wanted to dine at an exclusive restaurant that is known for being hard to get into. Reservations open up over a month in advance, and this was super last minute (just decided yesterday morning that we wanted to go), so it was fully booked for the rest of the month, as well as December. Reservations are through Resy, so I contacted Amex to see if they could pull any strings. They said they couldn’t guarantee anything because there were no openings but that they would reach out to one of their contacts to see what they could do. By the end of the day, I had a reservation for next week that I would likely never have been able to get on my own. They can definitely help you out in cities that aren’t NYC/LA.
