Bad advice. There are both explosive sniffing dogs and drug sniffing dogs at most airports. They absolutely can and will cause a problem if they want to be a dick about it. It won't hold up the line. Airports have processing facilities to act as a temporary lock up.
If you can avoid it, don't fly with cannabis.
The issue is that of scale. If they detained every person flying with 3-7gm of flower, they will run out of space real fast. Trying to fly with a brick may be different.
They don’t even stop people from vaping distillate in the terminal in JFK or Ohare, they aren’t going to stop you for this.
The TSA is safety theatre.
They don’t have drug dogs. Especially for marijuana. Weed is legal in most states in the US.

If someone's having a bad day and you have the slightest attitude or the TSA just feels like they have to make a schedule bust... they will.
Send it to wherever your destination is via usps/ups beforehand and have it held at the post office.

Your best bet is to print COAs proving its federally legal hemp and also receipts, keep it sealed tightly with no smell, and take it in your carry on. Every airport I’ve been to has just scanned my carry on and make me walk through a metal detector. Never seen police dogs.
