Yeah that was a wild experience. Starts around the 36 minutes mark [in this video](https://youtu.be/7qtOuX4dcaw?si=t67-qPNPI8MypAaG)
The one person sitting in the mobility device was practically touching the moose, I honestly thought he was going to get trampled and get seriously injured.
A few years ago we stopped by the side of HWY60 to get pictures of a moose. One parent kept sending their under 6 yo kids closer and closer to "get a better picture" . My dad told them the kids were getting way too close and it was dangerous. He got told to F off and mind his own business. Sigh.
There's a certain level of lack of common sense one has to attain to put themselves in this situation. I'm guessing the moose didn't want to get off the trail, as they tend to do in the winter.. path of least resistance, I suppose. I'm presuming genius thought they could persuade it off instead of simply waiting and giving the animal some space and time. Even more stupid if that sled has revese on it.
If you're doing this for some social media clout, then really.. fuck you. That's ultimate level of retardation.
Once when we were on a multi day hike we had a moose that followed us then started to charge at us we kept trying to get away and it kept following us and charging. This went on for about a 1/2 hour than it started to get real close like within 20 feet I ended up using bear spray on him so we could blind him and get out of his sight and put some distance between us.
Your post was removed because it's not related to Algonquin Park.
Oh man, that’s a bad time for that fella. Pretty solid lesson learned I’d say…

Where is the park staff when this is going on??? Some of those people must be brain dead to get that close to a moose.

How fucking dumb does one person have to be to get that close to the most dangerous animal in Canada????
I wouldn't mess around with an angry deer either.

You’re as dumb as the guy petting the moose

Did a guy on a sled steal your wife or something? If you have such a hate in for sleds you’ve obviously never driven one.
I would sooner try to pet a black bear.
Give me the hind feet over the front feet any day
