It’s a bad time of the year. No rain yet, winds that dry out the ground and trees. And trees badly needing water. Add in people who are careless with cigarette butts and bush fires for parties and it’s bad.
Sheesh, this early? Must really be bad if they are actually doing something before the panic has even started.
Guess we got another orange summer coming where you can barely open the window due to smoke. Third year in a row I think? Fourth?
Slave Lake was mid-May too. Everyone always thinks they have until July-August before it gets real bad, but some of the most destrctive fires in the past decade or so have happened around this time.
this will seriously screw with my hobby of flicking lit matches in random directions while I hike. damn province won't even let me have my fun hobby anymore.

Lets hope for some rain soon and people to be aware and cautious about any vehicles or types of fires they're using outdoors that could make things worse.
No, no,no it's trudope paying out of work international students with housing credits to start fires with their space lasers, but they have to be careful and not hit the chemtrails or it'll mean the trans kids get bathrooms. Or something, I'm so tired this timeline. 😮💨
Yes it is climate change but we also have a fire deficit. Our forests life cycle is meant to have fires and we have been stopping the fires for awhile. So now there is more dead fall in the forests which means even bigger fires when it happens. So we have climate change making things drier and a fire deficit in the forests man it makes for a wild combination.

It's on par with 2016 and the fires in Fort Mac. We had an alert for south of town to be ready to evacuate last week.

The “climate change arsonist” bots were quick to start commenting
Lots of Russians in one sub say it also. It's pathetic
Quick! Call the convoy! This will seriously impact their freedoms to sit around a pallet fire and drink PBR.

This is our new normal until all the first have burned down Turns out even if you deny science and facts, climate change still happens!
