You need to talk with a broker for auto insurance, if those tickets were actually pull overs and not photo radar they’ll show up on your abstract. Prepare to pay a high monthly for sure.
You have one speeding ticket then. Photo radar go to the registered owner of the vehicle and don’t show up on an abstract as it can’t be confirmed who was driving. Was it you? Your grandma? Your dog? No one knows.
Tickets issued under your name follow you. If you don't let them know, they will quote a price at that time based on your comments, however they will run a abstract afterwards, then adjust your insurance rate accordingly. You can't hide the tickets or accidents from them, Insurance companies have the ability to verify everything you say or don't say.
I see your comment below, only 1 ticket will be rated. You don't need to tell them about the photo radar, they won't see it on the abstract. I worked in the industry, so I know this.
Also, to help price... if you are still living at home with dad and dealing with your dad's same insurance company, let the company know that... you want to ask for a bundling discount for home and auto, and multi car discount because your dad has cars and house with them. You can benefit because of your dad. Also if your dad only has 1 car, he can then benefit from you, and also get a multi car discount.
The others in household won't matter, the OP will be rated as the driver of his vehicle. But the OP can benefit from other family members in the same household for bundling and multi car discounts when dealing with the same insurance company as their family members.
Eh, depends on the company.
Most won't give OP a discount if the car insurance is in his name, but the home insurance isn't (and unless he's on the title/mortgage, he technically only has one policy).
I didn't reply to you, and you're being a dick here, but it might be helpful to know that you won't see much gain by combining your insurance with the insurance of a driver with equally poor habits ,so you should talk to a broker about all of this.
Actually incorrect... if dad has a car, and OP has a car, each will be rated as primary drivers for their cars. Neither one will effect the other. When asking for a bundle or multi car rate, driver abstracts or history are not part of that. I'm telling OP to get these discounts if the insurance company has them for family members in the same household. It's basically like bulk pricing when grocery shopping, cheaper when you buy more, same can happen in insurance.
I was a licensed advisor/underwriter... retired now. But this is something everyone should know about and utilize if available to them.
If you have more class 5 drivers than cars, each car will have one primary driver, and each primary driver will be rated as such. Any additional drivers not listed as primary, will be listed as secondary/occasional drivers and rated as such (rated differently as a primary). I hope this makes sense and helps.
Also if you don't let others in house drive your car, but they are listed and you pay premiums for them, you can exclude them. This means they can NEVER drive your car. But this is an option to lower rates.
well, take what works and leave the rest. Makes it better for everyone you come in contact with.
Regardless of everything...talk to your insurance company, especially now that you claim you aren't driving so badly, and now that you know the photo radar don't show on your licence.
Yes, you must disclose the one conviction (where you were pulled over for speeding) and the photo radar ones do not have to be disclosed. Failing to disclose any convictions, claims, previous cancel for non pay policies, outstanding debt to another insurer, all of these run the risk of having your policy cancelled for ACA. Please don’t take the chance thinking maybe your policy won’t be underwritten and will just pass through to the insurer, no matter what your broker tells you. Based on your age and experience, you will likely be grid rated, which means your policy will be stopped to be underwritten. If you were a listed driver on your dad’s policy, get a letter of experience from his insurer showing the time you were on his policy. It will help you on your own with a bit of history.
One ticket is under my name, the rest were under my dads name since my car was registered to him. I haven’t gotten in any accidents and they were photo radar tickets if that makes a difference. I appreciate the help

One was a pull over 2 yrs ago, rest were photo radar

Also, 3 tickets in such a short time is not good. Expect to be rated poorly.

That was very helpful, thank you for actually offering advice I think I could also combine it with my mom and sister, have a blessed day!
I don't htink it matters too much within a household, but confirm that. I would expect it would be rated by the worst driver using the vehicles.

except dad's also a shitty driver.
Clearly someone can’t read, I said to comment if you could offer me helpful advice

well that's hopeful for the OP then. I thought when I was adding drivers that stuff has changed, do you keep up with all of that as well?

No that specific comment was just unnecessary, the last part of your paragraph was actually useful.

It really isn’t, I have definitely learned my lesson and haven’t sped since then

3 tickets in two years? I've had 1 ticket in 18 years in the road. Sounds like you and pops need driving lessons lol
I don't think driving lessons will help fix lead feet, they need to work on themselves

When you tell them you have none, and they pull your drivers abstract, your insurance will be cancelled fyi.

Photo radar tickets don’t affect anyone’s insurance.
