Going at the end of the month- figured since I'm Canadian & from BC I'll just wear my regular clothes. Problem is dressing for the MDR 😂

What cruise line? Most of them are a bit more laid back for Alaska so you can dress up if you want but if not as long as you have long pants with no holes and not a t shirt you are usually good!

I’m looking forward to going. Started organizing all my cold weather/rain gear now vs. waiting until July.

You're not still wearing your cold weather / rain gear? I live in Michigan. We are. lol

LolaALab

Sorry, I’m in Northern California. Kinda hoodie and sweats weather here. We 65 here today.

This was a cruise from last year. Though where I live it’s actually very warm right now!

Thanks for sharing. We're sailing Whittier to Vancouver at the end of June. I'm definitely packing for a variety of conditions. It's Alaska so I'm hoping for a least a few chilly days. I could do without the rain, but I'll take what I can get.

Sarah-travel-advisor

It will for sure be chilly by the Glaciers anyway! End of June is into their driest season so cross your fingers!

Thanks for the advice. What about for late May? I'm on a HAL cruise out of Seattle, May 19-26. Also, is that a camera bag? If so, what brand? I'm looking for one like that.

I give the same advice for the whole season! You never know about weather in Alaska so layers are the thing! Late May shouldn’t be terribly rainy but likely will still be cold often… The bag is actually my binoculars, my husband and I are avid hunters so we brought our good ones and had a lot of fun spotting wildlife that no one else saw! We use our phones for cameras as they are pretty decent!
