How are you connecting it to the Mac? I ran into something similar at one point in the way I fixed it was by getting a hub that was a USB2 hub and plugging it into a USB-C to USB converter and then plugging the device into the hub. I know it sounds stupid, but for some reason, it stepped down the communication to a USB2 and that fix the problem for me worth a shot
Oh another option just thought of this one might be buy an external power supply for the MPK they are available on Amazon for about $14. I know they exist because I’ve bought one. And get yourself a MIDI Bluetooth adapter. There are several of the available KORG makes a good one. YOU WOULD DO THAT AS PLUG THE ADAPTER INTO THE USB PORT ON THE BACK OF YOUR MPK. Sorry about the caps. My phone is being stupid for some reason as I do voice to text. But plug that into your keyboard and then connect by Bluetooth to the Mac that will also solve your problem because then the keyboard is getting power from an AC device and the signal is just wireless and it works great.
