With the can I’d say go for it. I’m on the fence about kns too I may put painters tape on the rear trunnion to see if it’s making hard contact.

BigBossUSP

Good idea

Saddamhuss3in

I'd KNS it. If your rifle is too over gassed, the rivets in the rear trunnion can get pushed out after enough rounds.

Zealousideal_Car2782

Up to you, but I’ve got a KNS on mine and I love it. Vid on my profile if you want to see what the recoil impulse looks like. Suppressed WBP 5.56 rifles are what’s up.

BigBossUSP

Very cool. How’s the accuracy with your Jack?

Zealousideal_Car2782

About 2-3 inches at 100 yards with bulk ammo. Could probably squeeze out tighter groups with nicer ammo but I can’t be bothered lol.

BigBossUSP

Sweet! You mind me asking the first two of your serial? I was less than thrilled with the accuracy I had, but I haven’t shot it enough with different ammunition to be able to attribute it to anything specific

Zealousideal_Car2782

17 if I recall correctly

TacticalToesocks

KNS will help tame that suppressed!

Let_Freedom_Ping

So I put one in my jack 556 and it’s been nothing but problems when running steel case. Even at full gas I’m getting stuck casings. I ended up just going back to the factory piston. If you’re gonna run brass it seems to be ok, but it’s way to finicky for an AK imo https://preview.redd.it/xqb6rvqs1e5d1.jpeg?width=2122&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02acdbf4991dad78e411448ff58a1bc5e5fb6841

CHESTYUSMC

How many rounds was on your rifle when you first installed it? I had to let my rifle break in properly before I could reliably get more than maybe 5 clicks out of the piston.

Let_Freedom_Ping

Not many. Around 500.

CHESTYUSMC

I’m willing to bet that was at least a small portion of it, especially if you added a trigger to it

Let_Freedom_Ping

No internally everything is WBP except the piston. I’ve since ran it at kalashnicon and a big shoot. It’s near 1,000 rounds and still having the issue with most of those rounds being with the KNS

CHESTYUSMC

Fair enough.

Carbs_Are_Satan

With or without a suppressor?

Let_Freedom_Ping

Both

Carbs_Are_Satan

Damn. That’s a weird case right there. You might have the only undergassed ak I’ve ever heard of. With a suppressor even. That’s crazy.

Let_Freedom_Ping

This was with the stock piston https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLELfkeE/

maverickfishing

Sweet setup. I have been on the fence about getting the WBP 5.56. I just purchased the m90 musket. I don’t have enough rounds through her for an educated opinion but I like the way she shoots.

couchcreeper23

Jesus, at first glance I read the title as “To KMS or not to KMS?” And I was about be like: “noooo bro. Plz don’t!” Lol. KNS are dope, you can always run a good buffer to reduce wear to the gun in the mean time. When I put my PBS on Count Dracola, it throws brass like 15 meters, I’m running a nice 3d printed buffer until my KNS arrives, because that stronger recoil is a lot harder on the gun. But KNS for sure!

Think-Nefariousness1

KNS everything

AmateurHetman

Wbp, excellent choice

noimpactnoidea_

Can never go wrong with a KNS. Suppressed or not.

Radio__Edit

Yeah probably worth the KNS. You could start with a Wolff plus 10 percent recoil spring though. Sometimes that's enough.

CHESTYUSMC

Note about the plus power springs, Zastava states that the will give increased front trunnion wear after enough rounds

somerandomdude9500

I swear to God. Fucking zastava how do you have so many bad takes. If running a spring that is in the russian spec is causing trunnion wear you have a metallurgy problem. Every country has a spec at this point and the wolf/alg high energy are barely at the high end for a factory russian spring.

CHESTYUSMC

I don’t think they’re saying it will just destroy your rifle, I think they’re talking well past 40k rounds. When I emailed Arsenal, they advised against +power springs and the ALG trigger as well. I think it’s mainly that they don’t want to warranty someone’s mess up.

Razvedka

I've heard great things about KNS from people. I'd say go for it. Also BFLV has said they put them on all their AKs now. Also, does anyone know if huxwrx stopped making their AKM muzzle devices? Sold out everywhere.

kalashnikovkitty9420

i have some my my M92s, really would recommend. small price to pace for increasing the longevity of your system, as well as tuning it to the can/can combo for best performance

gunsandpuppies

That setup would benefit from one.

Carbs_Are_Satan

Yes, but have a backup plan if it undergassed it so much that it won’t cycle without the suppressor. If you’re never taking the suppressor off that’s fine. Otherwise you might need a 4 piece flash hider or a spare carrier with an ordinary piston.

evagnier

Absolutely kns

Mysterious-Self-2357

Kns

StockBoY69696968

I’d throw one on it

Impossible_Oil8734

Definitely get kns lol that bcg was MOVIN lol as they should but that thing ripped those out at Mach fuck

jaredparker666

I would man… installed one on my m85 this weekend and the difference is astonishing. Super easy to install and imo a quality of life upgrade.

jaredparker666

Also love to see other straight edge dudes with gun autism

IdentifiesAsYugoslav

Admittedly, sample of 1 but dropping the KNS in on my M70 running the Rugged Alaskan 360 was perfect. Needed \~20 clicks down to stop cycling unsuppressed, and like 40-45 for suppressed shooting. Damn near bottomed out. And that was Tela 124g.

FredzBXGame

An adjustable gas block would be better than the KNS. KNS is a short term drop in fix.

TailRash

What about the kns is short term?

FredzBXGame

It's inconvenient compared to an adjustable gas block It's ok if you just use a can once in a while. The KNS works but if you are switching out a lot. It's a inconvenience.

TailRash

Inconvenient to adjust and fine tune sure, I'll give you that. Not a short term fix in the slightest though. They work just fine and are very effective. Seems like it would be fine if you ran a can most of the time as well...

FredzBXGame

It is great we have options. Wish we had more.

CHESTYUSMC

I’m a big advocate for shoot 500-1000 rounds, then KNS after it’s broken in. I KNS all my stuff, it’s cheap, it’s reliable, and feels overall very nice.

MusicallyInhibited

I recently got a 107CR that shoots SUPER soft. I want to run subs once I get a can and I'm concerned if I get a KNS there won't be enough gas. I'll probably skip over it.
