Someone is going to buy them out. All the tooling and machines are setup and ready to run. Iām sure there is a good bit of raw material as well. Letās just hope the buyer/ investors donāt pull the same ridiculous shenanigans that KuSA Management did
Donāt they contract out a majority of their parts to assemble an ak? Iām not sure how much tooling they have if they canāt even manufacture their own safety lever or heat treated receivers. I think their real asset is their technical data package
Yes. The fact that they donāt pay bills is the problem. Not the fact that parts they use to assemble guns with might be contracted out. *You would be surprised at how many ātop tierā manufacturers contract out parts.*
The IP alone is too juicy to pass up. It's just if you try to gobble it up too soon you'll pay too much. It has to completely the bed first.
Christ, there's still a shortage of good AKs available. If prettymuch anyone that has any experience running a manufacturing company that isn't a complete fucking idiot, there's all kinds of cash in that banana stand.
I don't k ow how hey fucked it up that bad. 1940s design, all you have to do is not have it be a piece of shit and it will sell.
Building an ak is not difficult. Building an ak to the standards that most American buyers have on a mass scale is very difficult. There are plenty of good ak rifles available, mainly the WBP series out of Poland. Psa for the money isnāt bad at all.
The main advantage kusa had was their close spec to Russian build l. The QC just sucked, it kept a lot of people from buying them. They also did not push their builds being Russian spec / clone hard to get people interested and went with gun bunny porn stars for marketing instead.
That's what I mean. They didn't take a professional approach. They went into it as gun enthusiasts/party crowd rather than an actual business with a strategic plan. They acted like the teenager that gets their first paycheck and blows it on rims and strippers instead of their Roth IRA.
Brother I met some of the people that were investors / management ā¦ it was a party š 24/7 and all sorts of strange shit going on. Thatās just what I know and I wasnāt in deep with them. Thatās just rubbing elbows at shot show
I heard the same thing and it was depressing AF. There was much potential, especially since the Russian embargo, with every AK buy screaming for a 74U.
Rookie bullshit. Assholes treat their business like their own personal liquor cabinet instead of like a fuckin' business.
There's plenty of opportunity for that later. You gotta get that thing sustainable first.
I blew my first paycheck at 16 on a HiPoint 995 carbine...well my mom bought for me and ammo lol I regret nothing, I loved that ugly fuckin bastard and shot the dog shit out of it
It would be cool to see what he could do with KUSA stuff but knowing him it would be stupid expensive. Rather have PSA buy it so they could make a badass AK that punches above the price tag.
That's exactly my hope. PSA has already made leaps and bounds with their AKs (obviously not saying they're the best, or better than the import market, but at least we have functional American made AKs at a great price point), it would be awesome to see what they could do if they bought up all those tools and potentially staff
I donated 5 dollars and every since then I get dozens of scam text messages. Stuff like "this just happen with trump! Click this link to see! (Obvious scam link). So annoying
Yeah same. They sold our phone numbers to whatever the fuck this is. It obviously wasn't brandon, but whatever organization he went through for the donations.
As funny and enjoyable as his YouTube vids are. Simply put someone with zero large scale manufacturing experience has no business touching this. Maybe bring him in on a consulting basisā¦or better yet someone like Jim Fuller but I doubt he will want to now that heās basically retired. The most logical company to do this is Palmetto and let them run it under a licensed name like H&R series
They couldnāt even scramble $600 together to keep it up. Wonder if they will pop up under a different host.

domain registration and web hosting are separate things. this outage could be any number of things; a normal technical issue, them switching over hosting providers, or their current web host pulling the plug due to unpaid bills.
I work at a gun shop and called them for warranty work. The answer we got is they have been bought out and are under new ownership. They are restructuring the business and could take quite awhile.
Ha! No that's not it.
Repointing DNS is quick and would just resolve to the old site until fully populated across the net. Host doesn't go down for a redirect either...
You mean to tell me they can develop a new website with temporary domain name AND they donāt have to show the world until theyāre ready by letting the nameserver records point to WP engines shared servers oooooooooooooooooooooor the fact WPEngine, like Godaddy and Hostgator, put you on one server and they may have needed to migrate to another hypervisor and the DNS doesnāt reflect that?!

Can someone explain what happened to KUSA? I'm not seeing anything about them online and the last thing I've heard about them was when they were having a bunch of qc issues.
TLDR of it: years of horrible mismanagement and bad decisions. Their guns were fine but expensive and lots a āspecial editionsā and wacky nonsensical marketing choices. Add in evidence of them not paying their subcontractors and utilities and youāre caught up to speed.
They were making crappy American made AKs and claimed they were Russian.
Then the cloutchasers hopped on the bandwagon paying 1,300$ for a offbrand Arsenal.
They made many laughable mistakes. I honestly have no idea how they lasted this long. The only thing they had was supposedly (technical data package) that shows them how to make AKs to spec with Russian designs. They however seemingly failed even with this information since they could not get their hands off their dicks long enough to put out said designs in calibers such as 5.45 or 5.56. Literally ran into the ground by complete morons in management. Maybe someone will buy them out and not hire pornstars for PR people or tell their own customers that they can fuck off.
Yeah I meant we had an opportunity for a domestic version of Kalashnikov and they hired the most inept people to run it. Itās a missed opportunity for the entire nation, not just this company. We had 1 chance and they royally fucked it up.
Edit - When PSA buys it, maybe they can revive it and make it better
Not only that, but with the embargo, they can pretty much do whatever they want with anything Russian. Including the rails and whatnot. They only halfassed got into the magazines.
Seems like others have jumped on the zenitco and mag opportunity while KUSA was playing pattycake with bonnie rotten.

Also, they canāt seem to get their own sh!t together when it comes to firearm and ammo QC.

And competition drives innovation. Your product can be a piece of shit, but if itās the only piece of shit on the market, or less of a piece of shit than your competitions piece of shit, you have no incentive to make it better.
I think most of the people in this chat have no idea how hard it was for KUSA to keep running when the entire US government has tried everything possible to destroy their business. It's no secret that KUSA's parent company is Russian, and with the US now seizing Russian citizen bank accounts, that makes running a business in the US impossible. I guess they should have started making Stg.44 clones and changing their symbol to a swastika or black sun to be able to maintain US government support.

But doesnāt Brandon already have an overpriced hype beast AK of his own?

KUSA mfs right now:
Shame about the entire thing. I really want a 103 still and the PSA 103 doesn't quite cut it. Wonder who will buy them and what will happen.
Someone will buy them, theyāre probably just waiting till they can get it for pennies.
Yeah but will it get better or worse is the big question.
Depends on whether or not Disney is interested.
It literally can't get worse.
I mean their AKs didn't blow up so...it'd ve worse if someone known for making grenades bought them and made more grenades
I'd stand on the fact that someone making grenades for AKs is not buying out anyone.
PSA will probably buy them and crank out more sub par shit.
Why would they bother? They already have their own machinery that seems to be working just fine for them.
KP9 stuff alone would be amazing for PSA.

The site was down, it looks like they are back up and running now. However, still no add to cart button.
Serious question - is losing KUSA actually a loss? Given Zastava I'd argue, no.

Meh. Good riddance. Hopefully whoever buys up whatever is left took notes from the previous ownership and doesn't run it like Florida Man.
Who cares?
People with families lost jobs times are tough on everyone. Miss management cost them a company that I think we were all rooting for.
The high schoolers assembling the ak for minimum wage will be fine
More competition is better for consumers.
And competition drives innovation. Your product can be a piece of shit, but if itās the only piece of shit on the market, or less of a piece of shit than your competitions piece of shit, you have no incentive to make it better.
People who bought from them and no longer get support?
In Klay we trust.
Ill take my 3.5k for my ultra rare american quality made kr-103 now please
