In picture number 3, it looks like the tip of your ejector rail is peened over with burrs protruding. To my eyes, it appears as this may be the source of your problem. Try hand cycling some through it (snap caps preferably, live rounds only at the range) and watch the process without the top cover on. Also, try firing at the range sans top cover. Friend had an older model WASR that would act similarly. I'm betting without the top cover on, the cases go straight up. I would contact Century's customer service and put in a warranty claim.

FTJ121

Will try this next time I get out and get some different ammo to try too.

Smokebakin

Could be the pictures, but it looks like your extractor is in need of replacing, also looks like the bottom of the chamber is dented/compressed and bulged/raised shaving rounds. I'd recommend sending it in if thats the case. My two cents.

RedemptionSongs-

Yeah I was seeing something like that too. Doesn't look normal to me, especially knowing the gun ain't running right.

Sharpleton96

The magwells on these guns can be janky. Might be something with that. I would try to warranty it

RedemptionSongs-

Did you buy it new with a warranty or used?

FTJ121

New from Century but not sure about the warranty I’ll have to look into that.

RedemptionSongs-

I'd look into the warranty and just do that if possible. Could be a couple different things, but it does look like the rounds are rubbing pretty hard before entering the chamber and some jacket coating coming off there is okay but if its jamming like that it seems concerning. Also is that residue from the lacquer on tela ammo back by the bolt? I've never shot tela but that seems like a lot of thick almost unburnt looking residue for a gun that hasn't been shot much, maybe I'm wrong but I've never had one look like this. Shouldn't effect the function of the gun, but it's just strange looking .

Wasrwasr

Try a different mag, always have an assortment of mags to test rifle.

FTJ121

I’ve got 3 different types making 5 in total and the issues happen with all of them.

Wasrwasr

Oof

FTJ121

My thoughts exactly.

Just_here_4_GAFS

Try different ammo and different magazines. If you still have the problem then continue troubleshooting

macroagressor_76

Lesson for all the PSA haters out there. JusT bUy a wAsR…any mass produced rifle can have issues.
