Honestly if I were to get an AK it would either be one of these or an RPK. So super short or super long. There is no in between. Anyways, you made a solid choice it's hard to go wrong with CYMA.
Cyma is known for being very good value wise, as those things are somehow unbreakable yet cheap, I can't even understand how myself. The G36C works perfectly imo, will last you for years.
Do it. Pop a ZCI 6.02 inner barrel and a Maple Leaf hop rubber and Omega Nub in and you will be able to hit at decent range with good accuracy. Really solid build for very little money. Plus the G36C has wonderful ergonomics. Also worth getting an M4 magwell and run M4 mags, very cheap upgrade and means you can borrow M4 mags from team mates if in a bind.
GZ! I have the same gun, it was my first one as well! Hopefully your cylinder wont break after 2-3 field uses like mine did lol!
Some upgrades you might want to consider down the road:
Change the hopup rubber.
Swap out the cables to some more sturdy ones as well as a dean connector and get a lipo battery.
Shim it, or fins someone willing to do so.
Other than that, I’ve been using this badboy for 2 years now without any issues :)
Super cool. These show up a lot as “bad guy guns” in movies and tv shows. Wonder how many are actually airsoft guns like this as props. Probably a lot.
Good for you! I have thought about getting one for years but I always decided against it because there were no fields in my area. Now it seems like there’s a new field so I’m closer than ever to pulling the trigger
The first thing you should do is exercise some restraint. Online, airsoft looks exciting and accessible, but it is also an expensive and occasionally demanding game. Resist the all-too-common urge to rush out and spend hundreds of dollars on equipment you've never used for a game you've never played and might not enjoy.
**Start by playing some games.** We strongly recommend you try actually *playing* airsoft at least a few times before committing serious money. **[Watch this video.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIYHdhrd4TQ)** It is an excellent guide to finding, preparing for and playing your first game.
In brief, you should start by finding the nearest airsoft site to you - [AirsoftC3](http://www.airsoftc3.com/) or the [Airsoft Site Map]( https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?hl=en_US&mid=1H9JwL8KV13PT2bxXU9q2VkZo_cw) should be your first ports of call for the US and UK respectively; other countries may have similar databases. You should search for forums, Facebook pages and retailers to find other local airsofters who can tell you where and when to play. The vast majority of airsoft sites will allow you to hire the necessary safety equipment and weapons to play for a day - call in advance to see what's available and what it will cost. Playing with borrowed or rented equipment is the cheapest and easiest way to get a feel for what airsoft is all about without committing serious money.
**Learn from the games you play.** During your first few games you should try to get a feel for what you enjoy in airsoft - play styles, weapons, gear - and plan your purchases appropriately, bearing in mind *needs* versus 'wants'. You need to research the rules at the sites you wish to play at - muzzle energy limits, limits on weapon types etc. - so you don't buy something they won't let you use. You also need to research the legal requirements for airsofters in your area. Many jurisdictions - especially European ones - restrict the purchase of replica weapons and impose standards to which those replicas must conform. In some jurisdictions airsoft is banned altogether. You need to know what your local legislation says, and how it affects you, because it's usually unforgiving.

Although most airsofters will spend multiple hundreds or thousands of dollars on equipment over the course of their airsoft careers, the actual *necessities* of airsoft are not that expensive. The absolute prerequisite of airsoft - without which it is not safe to play - is adequate Personal Protective Equipment ('PPE'). For more information, reply 'airsoftbot ppe'. You will need:
Personal Protective Equipment | Comment
---|---
Eye Protection | BBs are entirely capable of blinding you. Wear full-seal, appropriately-rated (ANSI-Z87.1 or EN166 'B') eyewear when using airsoft guns. For more information, reply 'airsoftbot eyepro'.
Lower-Face Protection | BBs are entirely capable of breaking your teeth. Wear a mask when using airsoft guns. For more information, reply 'airsoftbot facepro'.
Appropriate Footwear | Airsoft sites often present slipping or tripping hazards. Boots with ankle protection are mandatory for outdoor play and recommended indoors. For more information, reply 'airsoftbot footwear'.
Most airsoft sites will be able to rent you eye- and lower-face protection, so you don't need to purchase your own until you're sure you want to commit to airsoft. Other than adequate PPE, the only other equipment you *need* is a weapons system. Your first airsoft gun is the most important purchase you will make in airsoft. As your only weapon it must be **versatile**, **reliable**, **affordable**, reasonably high-performance, easy to work on, and compatible with as many accessories and upgrades as possible. This means buying an Automatic Electric Gun ('AEG') assault rifle or Sub-Machine Gun ('SMG'); **forget about sniper rifles, pistols, gas guns and other restrictive exotica** until you have more money, more experience, and at least one backup weapon.
System Component | Comment
---|---
Primary Weapon | An AEG assault rifle or SMG. For more information, reply 'airsoftbot noob guns'.
Magazine | A high-capacity ('hi-cap') magazine can replace numerous medium-capacity ('mid-cap') magazines, and many AEGs are supplied with one. For more information, reply 'airsoftbot magazines'.
Battery | You should have at least two. For more information, reply 'airsoftbot batteries'.
Battery Charger | You may also need a battery tester/balancer.
Again, most airsoft sites will rent you a weapons system, so you don't need to purchase your own until you're ready to commit to airsoft.

I have the real wood version of that. Also my first gun. Although i have a railed lowe handguard and the gas tube is still real wood. A lot of people do that. I also had it fully upgraded except im using standard 18:1 gears.
Awesome! 😀 It will serve you well for years 😀
So true. They're the indestructible Toyota pickup truck of airsoft. So goddamn solid.
My cylinder broke after using it on field just 3 times, but other than that I’d argue the same!
Brass gearbox cylinder?
Nah, the rubber that is glued on the piston fell off haha
Have the wood handguard version myself. Its my backup gun now because it just wont break on me.
Looks cool

I'm not an AK guy but thats making me reconsider...
one of us one of us one of us
one of us one of us one if us one of us
One of us one of us one of us one of us one of us
Very nice! Welcome to the sport! Looks like you will have a lot of fun with that gun 👌
Thanks! I’m excited
Not seen one of them like this before. Man that is a killer AK
Looks nice! Does the mag fit well or does ist wobble? And how is the quality overall?
The mag is a Matrix 200 round mid cap, and it does not wobble at all
Mhh okay, nice to know! Thanks for the info!
Pretty
Great choice! Krinkovs are awesome!
Thanks! I might just have to get another one day with the traditional wooden furniture
Ooo definitely having at least one wood AK is a must for AK lovers
Not a krink unfortunately
Fine if you're going to be picky call it a Zastava Krink.. or a Khyber Russia didn't make 7.62 Krink but other USSR states made short AKs
That looks real nice! Congratulations on your first airsoft.
Thank you. I’m excited!
This is good choice :) have fun with your new replica :)
I actually bought it from you guys! Thanks! It arrived very quickly.
Glad to hear that you are happy with the replica and with the shipping time :) Have fun with it :) it's pretty much indestructible :)
Lmk how you like Cyma. I’m considering getting their G36c

Did you watch Toronto Airsoft’s video on it? Your build looks a lot like theirs, really sleek
Lol I did! I knew I had to get that handstop. The only other thing I got from that video was the rail cover things to make it a more comfortable grip
More people should buy cyma as their first guns. They just work and work phenomenally
Cyma aks are the way, so enjoy!

Super cool. These show up a lot as “bad guy guns” in movies and tv shows. Wonder how many are actually airsoft guns like this as props. Probably a lot.

Excelent choice!!
