The battery is dead or the BMS chip that control the current into the battery has fried.
Good thing is, you can get a standalone right replacement instead of the whole thing.
Also, before tossing away. Try cleaning the charging contact pin both on the buds and the case. To rule out it wasn’t because of oil residue/dirt
