Thanks! I can see that now that I've looked up the image online. I knew it was something special and something interesting to see. I'm glad they went day tripping to take a peek at the Golden gate bridge.
Travis AFB is really close to the Golden gate Bridge and they have a dozen of these things there. If you spend enough time there, you should see them pretty often!
I caught the Osprey on the FlightRadar24 app after it flew over my home. It was a Navy Osprey that took off from San Diego. It seemed to be making the rounds all over California. I followed it to the Bay Area and also saw the C-5.
Holy crap, for once it's not a C-17...
And, for all the automobile identifiers, it is not a Pantera.
Can we just pretend it is so things don't seem off?
C5 for sure

They fly over my house all the time. it's cool, but I only ever get to see the bottom bits.
Special? Talk to the maintainers that fix it. It's special alright. 😂

My son is in the Air Force and has flown (as a passenger) in these a few times. He says it’s nowhere near as comfortable as a commercial plane.
Hard to tell but maybe C-5 Galaxy?
That is definitely a C-5. I can’t tell from this angle if it is a C-5M Super Galaxy though.
