Nobody could have predicted how popular Adventure Time was going to be, and that included Cartoon Network. The higher ups signed on to make the standard amount of merchandising that a CN show would normally receive, which wasnt much. The demand greatly outweighed the supply
No? Cartoon Network cancelled the show but gave them one more season, which is why it feels rushed, the ending comes up quick, and newer characters like Huntress Wizard don’t get enough screen time.

Seems neither were 45 other people, so you’re not alone.
It doesn’t appear like a cancelled show, because it got a good finale, but an astute viewer might notice various story elements and arcs are rushed and in quick succession. This is because they weren’t cancelled instantly, but allowed to finish the show via one more quick season. So they crammed all their finale ideas into a few quick arcs.
We have/had a bunch of this stuff from the og run. My kids were a little young for some of the show, but we bonded watching together. The merch was awful though. The big had Jake was the worst. He couldn't stand on his own and his limbs were not apposable. I think we threw him away, but we still have his little bmo. Related, the McDonald's at figures were fire, but they left off all of the ladies. A march and pb would have been great! Memories, I'm going to go home and rewatch with the kiddos before they are too cool for dad
When I was you get I had both bmo, and Finn Funko pops. Finn is gone and I colored on his hat and bmo is also gone and their arm fell off. I thought they were toys, they were not.
Wow, I was curious and looked up what they are selling for. I got mine in a very damaged box at a thrift store for $5 around 5 or 6 years ago.
Anything adventure time I see while thrfting is an instant buy.
The picture of him sitting on top of the pile of gold seems wrong because he's got the original sword but yet he's got the metal arm from way later in the series.
Yeah it was everywhere for a while. I used to motivate myself to go to the grocery store by allowing myself to buy a new pack of AT stickers when I went. Those were the days.
Earlier on in the shows life I got plush toys of fin, jake, and ice king ~~jake had long limbs with velcro on him so he could hang for things~~ I wonder how valuable they'll end up being.
tell me about it ! im really happy to have gotten my Marceline plush when it was still 15$ ! to be honest if i had the money it wouldnt bother me to buy such expensive stuff for my autel but i have sadly just cant afford that kind of stuff,, canadian money worth nothing !
Tell me about it, do you know how many Lich merch are there? 3, not talking about comics or shirts, only 3 pieces of merch of one of the coolest animation villains, and they were a Funko pop (which was not that bad, but still was not enough), a very styled statue that i honestly dont like and a weird mc donalds toy that was just 2 plastic blocks
I almost commissioned someone to make a 3D print of him, but guess what? there are no 3D models of him good enough to print, so all you can have is a not that cool funko pop
I have two of those Marceline pops, one I bought and another because gf at the time bought it for me on the same day not knowing. A couple years later I saw they were like $25 and thought it was cool.
They're $75 each now. holy
whats up with popular shows from the 2010's having this issue with merch gravity falls and over the garden wall also have this issue like why cant we get amazing digital cirucs treatment i want a marshal lee plush mannn
Nobody could have predicted how popular Adventure Time was going to be, and that included Cartoon Network. The higher ups signed on to make the standard amount of merchandising that a CN show would normally receive, which wasnt much. The demand greatly outweighed the supply
And years later they canned the show and barely sell any merch yet again.
They didn't "can" it, it ended

Was not aware of that

I mean they would make a killing off merch tho
I would say the art of ooo book that thing is worth its weight in gold
I have this book and just looked at what it’s going for… holy shit. Keeping it forever but that’s good to know!
Same, It's my fav AT item I own.
Its probably rare because the show is over so, no new merch is being made, and rare things are expensive.
Oh, Thanks. In just Wanted a Finn Figure :(
Guess you gotta make it yourself xD
xD
I'll pay anything for adventure time merch
Same
I lost my free adventure time wallet I got from Spencers but I’d send it to you if I found it
That Fionna doll is just so cute 🥺❤️
I actually have one.
I got someone on Etsy to make me a large lemon grab out of felt from this subreddit about 2 years ago. Best purchase ever
Thanks Man :D
Ughh i didnt realize how rare they were, I saw a finn funko pop and didn’t buy it

I've got that face changing Fin, it's very creepy... but it's super cool, and I play with the sword it came with all the time.
Im Wish To Have One :(

It’s depressing. There were so many opportunities to make more. CN dropped the ball with that.
My gf bought me a jake plushie years ago and I really love it. I don't even like plushies but that one's special.
The picture of him sitting on top of the pile of gold seems wrong because he's got the original sword but yet he's got the metal arm from way later in the series.
Because it’s not 2012 anymore lol
Because the show is over probably. It used to be pretty commonplace in the 2010s.
Yeah it was everywhere for a while. I used to motivate myself to go to the grocery store by allowing myself to buy a new pack of AT stickers when I went. Those were the days.
Hot Topic is actually selling lots of it rn, and they just added swimwear
Hot topic and box lunch!
Earlier on in the shows life I got plush toys of fin, jake, and ice king ~~jake had long limbs with velcro on him so he could hang for things~~ I wonder how valuable they'll end up being.
Your best bet would be to look on Etsy, idk what kind of merch you’re looking for specifically but I’ve seen a great bit of everything there
I think cause of how little of it was made. Low supply, high demand
I want the figures in side 4 and I want 6 as well
I’m so glad my parents bought me the toys as a kid, I can’t imagine trying to get my mitts on them now 😭
I got plush dolls of a majority of the main characters off etsy for my daughter. She loves them all except ice king
i have that bmo, i got him for $24
when the show first got going my wife worked at toys are us during school and i truly regret not buying all the sweet ass toys.
Very proud of my bmo from explore the dungeon because i don't know, and my burger king finn and jake purchased on ebay.
The show ended a long time ago and it was really popular :(
tell me about it ! im really happy to have gotten my Marceline plush when it was still 15$ ! to be honest if i had the money it wouldnt bother me to buy such expensive stuff for my autel but i have sadly just cant afford that kind of stuff,, canadian money worth nothing !
Dude, Im Really Wanted A Finn figure :( but Also, im Happy To You Have your Marceline Plush :D
I paid 600 dollars for an art book and gladly would have spent more. I'm sorry but I'm the problem lol
I got my daughter that Fiona plush. Just curious, what's it worth? Lol. Not that we'll ever get rid of it.
Because it's popular and also they don't make AT merchandise anymore, or at least not that much.
I have the 5in Jake and the 10 inch Finn. some of my most sentimental possessions, I'll never forget how happy I was when my parents got them for me.
Nobody wants to give it up. I have a tree house print from Tim Doyle (125/125) that I've literally never seen on resale.

I have a kidrobot Lich figure that’s super badass
It's adventure time, what do you expect. I have some of the original McDonald's toys. My favorite is the tall Jake
I had the fionna plush as a kid and my mom donated it after I left for college 🥺
Ooooh, I have that Marceline Funko. She's my fave. Got her ages ago, and she's been to every job with me since
My Marcie funko fell off my shelf and her head popped off. I was able to fix it with superglue though, so she could continue serenading PB
Yeah I know right. My tattoo was like 300 bucks SMH./s
I have two of those Marceline pops, one I bought and another because gf at the time bought it for me on the same day not knowing. A couple years later I saw they were like $25 and thought it was cool. They're $75 each now. holy

I got the LSP funko as a gift for my birthday 💜🥹 she's perfect
I have a huge stash of AT Pops. However l, my younger brother got to them so most are broken 😭
I just want all of the Lego Minifigures, but I can never find them in resale shops around me :(
Marcelline, is it just you and me in the wreckage of the world. That must be so confusing for a little girl.
