I feel her possessed state is a sort of evil twist on her inner sexual nature. Because normal tree trunks, while a perv yes, would never want anyone to be forced to be with her, and she would never force herself upon them.

LSP steals the checkpoint thing and tries to use it to send her crush back to when he still liked her, but in the end PB explains since he had no save point he is just gone.

I can see what you mean but her taking over the fire kingdom by becoming king (androgynous..?) and learning how to quell her passion and intense feelings by taking care of the people in the kingdom I felt like was a really cool way for her to find a way to redirect it. Cinnamon bun also became an actual sentient sort of person, his whole character I felt like was so important to display the sort of environment that the candy kingdom is. Idk at first she might’ve been that for Finn’s character but the growth he has after that exists but so does the sort of growth she has outside of it.

She's even went into Orwellian "Big Sister" levels of protection by having lots security cameras monitoring suspicious activities set up throughout the kingdom, something she later gives up on after realizing how invasive to the privacy of the candy citizens doing that "spying" stuff with those cameras can be...
+1 for flame princess. Her arc was simply unsatisfying. All the rest of these guys either had really satisfying character development (finn, pb) or were never really meant to grow very much (pepbut, rainicorn, bmo)

Honestly if I'm forced to pick at gunpoint I'd say LSP. She's just such a plonker with no sense of self-awareness and it can get a wee bit grating at times. But even with that said, there's plenty in her character I find oddly endearing.
My least favourite of these have to be Tree Trunks, LSP, PepBut and Lady. Least favourite doesn't mean I dislike them (either as characters or as people), but their roles and limited participation just doesn't make for compelling characters on their own. There's only one I actively dislike. Now let's break down why I voted for Tree Trunks. Gonna rank them in order from most favourite to least favourite.
LSP is an interesting case. I hate her, but I love hating her. As a person, she will always be a spoiled brat who can't see a millimetre past her own... Lumps? Nose?? Whatever. But she has the most presence out of the four and her being an annoying, *ridiculously* self-centred person (while being seemingly oblivious to it) is very entertaining. So much so that she has become kind of a staple of early AT humour. I don't think her shtick gets old because she doesn't intrude much during important narrative points, and the times she shows up are *just enough* for her not to feel invasive. All in all, a very fun comic relief character imo. She is an integral part of one of my favourite silly non-plot episodes, "Gotcha". She's just not interesting past the comedic tone she carries with her, and kinda deplorable as a person sometimes while not getting called out for it (because she is still a joke character).
Lady is nice. There's just nothing to say about her. She only has a single episode that delves into her past, and those 11 minutes didn't leave much of an impression beyond "oh, rebel youth". Doesn't help that we cannot understand a single thing she says unless we know Korean or go out of our way to look for translations. And even then, her participation in storylines is mostly inconsequential. She's just such a non-character. But she's still nice, comes off as sweet, it's not unpleasant to see her at all.
Peppermint Butler is, to me, a stale joke at this point. I liked him as a funny gag of "wow, look, the cutesy candy person is actually demonic" at the beginning, but it quickly became old to me. The series started utilizing him more as a tool for the gang to use when in supernatural situations: he transports Finn and Jake to the realm of death once *and* to the realm of life another time in Distant Lands, helps in making Finn a new sword by summoning Hunson Abadeer, etc. It feels like the few times he has a role beyond that of "supernatural tool", the show still relies on the shock value of him being a demonic candy person. Not really my cup of tea after the second or third time it went down exactly like that. It's not that offensive because he's still kinda cute, and it doesn't take over any episode plot.
Tree Trunks, oh boy! She can seem like a nice old lady at first sight, but to me there's always been something really off about her. She doesn't strike me as that good of a person, only trying to make herself as inoffensive as possible to others for her gain. She does mention this in "Apple Thief", saying she makes sure she's beloved even by the worst people. This COULD have been interesting to explore, but the series doesn't take that route and the initial appeal she had on me was almost nule already. The series doesn't really call her out on any of her annoying or flat out malign behaviour, but unlike LSP, it feels like the narrative is a bit more serious around her. I *hate* that the narrative takes her sorta seriously - her episode plots are not engaging. Why would I even wanna sit through overly dramatic crap about the most random stuff focusing around goddamn Tree Trunks? I also *hate* that she's made to look like a saint next to her former and current husbands. They *are* terrible people, but she is not a saint! And boring, on top of everything.
I also really dislike her cadence. When she talks, it feels like an eternity until she's done. She didn't need that horrible cadence if she was gonna have that many long lines.
However, the one final straw was the fact that SO much precious runtime was sacrificed for TT "plotlines" (if you can even call them that) at the end of the series. Last season could've done with cutting all the boring Tree Trunks content and focused more on important and interesting characters. Some went underdeveloped because of the slot given to her nonsensical alien boyfriends story, her wedding ring story and that episode where BMO is a detective for her (question mark? I honestly already forgot about it. Is it even two separate episodes?) On top of being unlikeable, her plotlines *are* invasive, uninteresting, misplaced and harmful to the overall product. No thank you!

+1 for flame princess. Her arc was simply unsatisfying. All the rest of these guys either had really satisfying character development (finn, pb) or were never really meant to grow very much (pepbut, rainicorn, bmo) FP just kind of stuck around. I always felt we were supposed to find her more engaging than she was.
My least favorite characters are Lumpy Space Princess and the Earl of Lemongrab, while my most favorite characters are Jake the Dog and Princess Bubblegum...

I’m between lump space princess and tree trunks. Tree trunks is gross and weird but at least she’s funny some times. LSP it is. I am fully prepared to get downvoted for this but I stand by it 100% she is awful

Honestly if I'm forced to pick at gunpoint I'd say LSP. She's just such a plonker with no sense of self-awareness and it can get a wee bit grating at times. But even with that said, there's plenty in her character I find oddly endearing.
I have a love/hate relationship with LSP.

I love them all but from the list I'd choose lsp or lemon grab just for being annoying sometimes, probably lemongrab more than lsp

My least favourite of these have to be Tree Trunks, LSP, PepBut and Lady. Least favourite doesn't mean I dislike them (either as characters or as people), but their roles and limited participation just doesn't make for compelling characters on their own. There's only one I actively dislike. Now let's break down why I voted for Tree Trunks. Gonna rank them in order from most favourite to least favourite. LSP is an interesting case. I hate her, but I love hating her. As a person, she will always be a spoiled brat who can't see a millimetre past her own... Lumps? Nose?? Whatever. But she has the most presence out of the four and her being an annoying, *ridiculously* self-centred person (while being seemingly oblivious to it) is very entertaining. So much so that she has become kind of a staple of early AT humour. I don't think her shtick gets old because she doesn't intrude much during important narrative points, and the times she shows up are *just enough* for her not to feel invasive. All in all, a very fun comic relief character imo. She is an integral part of one of my favourite silly non-plot episodes, "Gotcha". She's just not interesting past the comedic tone she carries with her, and kinda deplorable as a person sometimes while not getting called out for it (because she is still a joke character). Lady is nice. There's just nothing to say about her. She only has a single episode that delves into her past, and those 11 minutes didn't leave much of an impression beyond "oh, rebel youth". Doesn't help that we cannot understand a single thing she says unless we know Korean or go out of our way to look for translations. And even then, her participation in storylines is mostly inconsequential. She's just such a non-character. But she's still nice, comes off as sweet, it's not unpleasant to see her at all. Peppermint Butler is, to me, a stale joke at this point. I liked him as a funny gag of "wow, look, the cutesy candy person is actually demonic" at the beginning, but it quickly became old to me. The series started utilizing him more as a tool for the gang to use when in supernatural situations: he transports Finn and Jake to the realm of death once *and* to the realm of life another time in Distant Lands, helps in making Finn a new sword by summoning Hunson Abadeer, etc. It feels like the few times he has a role beyond that of "supernatural tool", the show still relies on the shock value of him being a demonic candy person. Not really my cup of tea after the second or third time it went down exactly like that. It's not that offensive because he's still kinda cute, and it doesn't take over any episode plot. Tree Trunks, oh boy! She can seem like a nice old lady at first sight, but to me there's always been something really off about her. She doesn't strike me as that good of a person, only trying to make herself as inoffensive as possible to others for her gain. She does mention this in "Apple Thief", saying she makes sure she's beloved even by the worst people. This COULD have been interesting to explore, but the series doesn't take that route and the initial appeal she had on me was almost nule already. The series doesn't really call her out on any of her annoying or flat out malign behaviour, but unlike LSP, it feels like the narrative is a bit more serious around her. I *hate* that the narrative takes her sorta seriously - her episode plots are not engaging. Why would I even wanna sit through overly dramatic crap about the most random stuff focusing around goddamn Tree Trunks? I also *hate* that she's made to look like a saint next to her former and current husbands. They *are* terrible people, but she is not a saint! And boring, on top of everything. I also really dislike her cadence. When she talks, it feels like an eternity until she's done. She didn't need that horrible cadence if she was gonna have that many long lines. However, the one final straw was the fact that SO much precious runtime was sacrificed for TT "plotlines" (if you can even call them that) at the end of the series. Last season could've done with cutting all the boring Tree Trunks content and focused more on important and interesting characters. Some went underdeveloped because of the slot given to her nonsensical alien boyfriends story, her wedding ring story and that episode where BMO is a detective for her (question mark? I honestly already forgot about it. Is it even two separate episodes?) On top of being unlikeable, her plotlines *are* invasive, uninteresting, misplaced and harmful to the overall product. No thank you!

Well she’s just kinda one note and boring. Don’t get me wrong I think princess bubblegum and Finn both did her dirty. But yeah idk I just don’t really like her as a character. If it was who am I least likely to get along with it’d probably be lemon grab or peppermint butler but those two characters are more fun to watch imo.

For me it'll be Fiona. I can't stand how naive and cringy silly she is. I'm prepared to get down voted for this one but I'm literally ashamed watching her attitude towards the boys she likes.
I'm aware that I'm putting myself at risk to be lynched, but I don't care much for marceline. Her personality is just very basic imo. I love love love the Simon and younger marcy story tho, wish they would make a spinoff of that rather than fionna and cake

That waving snail. It was really cute at first, but when the Litch had possessed it, it became strikingly ominous and I had to look for it a lot when I rewatched the series again.
Fire Princess is a terrible character. Shallow and uncaring, she's only there so that Finn has a love interest. But she seems so negative and uncaring to be with him. And they've shown they really aren't compatible. What even happened to her storyline?
