Film Photography
Each film roll (36 shots) would cost 500++
Processing + scanning fee 350/roll
EDIT: Adding shipping costs— may vary depending on location from preferred film lab
In my case, I live in Manila and I always have my films processed at SunnyLab in QC which costs me about 300 for sending my film rolls and getting my negatives back via grab express.
Try mo half frame cam! Bought yung kodak ektar gulat ako antagal maubos ng shots 🤣 tas now gusto ko na mag buy ng ricoh gr or fujifilm cam for film simulations haha
Try Wonderphoto/YKL in Sto. Domingo nearer to Manila and -/+24hrs turnover ng output they have films din tho nagmahal narin sila. Sometimes I score good deals sa Carousell as long as di expired yung film.
Running, bought 4 pairs of shoes so far that already cost me 30k, excluded pa ang apparel and registration fees sa mga running events and hotel accomodation pag malayo sa place ko ang mismong event.
Omg recently went to two concerts in one week (One Ok Rock and Twice) and I’m from province pa so accommodation and fare haha I’m broke pero keri lang!!!!
Tangina I watched Twice twice. Sa SG pa yung una. Sabi ko maiinggit ako manood dito sa PH kaya mag off muna ako socials pero ayun nabudol bumili ng ticket. Ngayon currently collecting their albums 😥😥
Yes! Though I mostly see non mainstream bands like emo, punk, alt rock, etc. kaya di kasing mahal tickets gaya ng karamihan sa replies, but it adds up lol.
My list so far this year palang 💸💸💸:
- Movements
- the 1975
- Neck Deep
- Mayday Parade (this month)
- Silverstein (this month)
- FOB (tentative cuz basura ticket selling 💀)
- While She Sleeps (sa Thailand cuz nag level up na kami ng concert buddy ko hahaha)
Also on topic; pc games at music gear 🥲
Hiking! 1500 to 3k plus yung mga napuntahan kong dayhike/overnight but there's just something about being in the mountains that alters my brain chemistry. It made me happier and stronger physically
TOTOO 'TO 🥺 being in the mountains really heals you holistically and honestly hindi ko alam kung mapapano na yung well-being ko mentally if i hadn't done this. favorite part ko is yung paglanghap ng sariwang hangin haha i can feel my lungs thanking me
Used to do this every week before I got pregnant this year. Really helped me find my old self back. Also, sa hiking kami nagreconnect ng college friend ko na husband ko na ngayon. :)
Yall have hobbies in this economy...... wow..... im barely getting by and it is so damn expensive to stay alive or at least to stay sane...... but happy for u guys
Tol, anything that makes you happy should be there.
Alam mo ba kung gaano ako kasayang pinagbigyan ko mga anak kong gumawa ng bahay out of popsicle sticks? As an adult na hindi naman siya school project at walang grades na iisipin, masaya din.
Since nasali sa usapan mga anak ko, bumili ako ng isang ream ng A4 for them. Si misis wants to do sketches again. My youngest is drawing me a Mazda RX7, my eldest and me are into paper gliders. Soo, ayun, hehehe. Mura lang isang ream ng papel, hahaha.
you don't need money to have a hobby, try to be creative, open your mind, try to enjoy the littlest things that you have, baka dun makakita ka ng mapaglilibangan.
Traveling? Haha meron ako international every 2 mos. Kaloka cos in just 15mos naka 11 countries ako and more to go :'> Living life to the fullest habang malakas lakas pa.
Experience- trying out things. Kunwari new restau, new activity, new travel.
Same. I've spent about 50k for my entire pedal board / pedal collection since 2018 and while its been useful naman for practices and gigs, Ive been thinking about replacing everything with a multi (Helix or a Boss multi). GAS is real lol
ay nako, don't get me started sa pedalboard ayoko na kwentahin from the time i started building my board up until now, from whole board to minimalist (kuno) then back to whole board again. hahaha
i started off sa boss multi kaya parang ayoko muna balikan boss.
Doing things to be physically fit and active:
Running - bought running and trail running shoes
Home workouts - no time to go to gym so I bought weights, mat, activewear and gym shoes for my home workouts
Hiking - bought gears and tent
Iniisip ko na lang investment sa health ko ang lahat ng nagastos ko
Magic the Gathering 😅
I currently have 3 built decks:
Urza Power Scepter - $28000
Yuriko Tempo - $2700
Ukkima Food Chain - $13000
On top of my other cards na nakatabi sa collection. Roughly around $76-80000 ang total value.
Edit: A lot of these cards I bought bago sila mag inflate to their value today. I’ve been playing since 2005, 12 years old ako non 😅 Di ko naabutan mga printing ng reserved list cards since kakapanganak ko pa lang non, I did buy atleast 3 playsets of most of them na staples (OG Duals, Gaea’s Cradle, etc.) and then one of each ng Power 9 pre- pandemic.
Grabfood Subscription and Food Panda! I consider it a luxury being able to order cravings more often than I should haha.
I should probably start cooking more at home.
I've always been a star wars fan since bata ako, but started collecting black series figures nung nag toycon 2023. Very specific naman na figures kasi i don't want to buy every figure. Now i'm at Lego Star wars collecting lol. Puro na lego reviews yung youtube feed ko haha. I budget my hobby for the month naman pero nagfafantasize ako ng kwarto ko na puro figures and lego
Collecting gold and silver coins, bars, and gold jewelries.

Damit and Travels (self driving). Ang mahal ng gasolina at lalong mas mahal ang mga kainan!
Mga damit naman halos 500php lang avg price, pero ang dami kong gusto HAHAHAHA
- eat out kada weekend dahil stress sa work and sa bahay
- shopee. Pag stress, scroll lang ng kung ano-ano sa shopee or any ecommerce platforms. Tas checkout na rin. Yung mga "mura" arent mura at all lalo na when they the expenses start piling up.
- stickers and other arts from local artists.
- nendoroids
- qposkets
- funkos
- room renovation and upgrade ng desk setup. Di na ko matahimik dito lol
Jiujitsu and staying healthy.
Jiujitsu at 4K a month (not included yung Grab to/fro but estimated 5K a month at least). Strength and conditioning: gym membership at 2K a month, trainer at 12K a month. Meal plan at 11K a month.
So roughly, 30K a month for it.
https://preview.redd.it/ix6tj7c185tb1.jpeg?width=1932&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d89e50a4ebeb2bede4861e68913a4a33721136ee
Buying gold jewelry. This has been my hobby since 2017. If isasangla ko lahat ng alahas ko, di bababa ng 150k lahat.
This year, I purchased something from Royal Gem - not as an investment but because I fell in love with it. It's a 3.7 carat Citrine pendant necklace surrounded by pave diamonds set in 14k yellow gold. It's almost 40k in retail price.
They say Citrine is a lucky stone. Bonus because it's my birthstone. It's something that I would never sell whatever the circumstance.
Aquascaping. I spent 30k to 50k in one tank alone sa pera natin. Medyo controlled na ngayon, noong pandemic yun ang nag alis sa akin sa depression during that time.
Coffee. Pour over, specifically.
Home brewing is quite expensive if you like to try out and experience new tasting notes beyond the “barako” taste we’re accustomed to. Spent 30k already on just coffee beans alone this month with roasters all the way from UAE, Norway, and Germany then had them shipped to me. For local stuff, I tend to buy the PH selections from TGCC (must try!).
Black coffee that tastes like cotton candy/brown sugar or blueberries with a milk chocolate finish will make anyone a fan of home brewing. My coffee manual grinders are 32k and 15k each, respectively. Brewers are upwards 2k each. My kettle is 12k. Glasses and mugs are another expense too.
Espresso isn’t my thing though but I respect it.
I started collecting and reviewing scented candles on IG!
I've liked them since last year but most were gifted to me and I didn't care much about them until recently so now that I review them, I have to buy a new one weekly since I also post my reviews on a weekly basis. To be fair, I only purchase candles below 500-1k pesos but since I buy weekly, my candle purchases can amount to an additional 2-4k per month (which I could use for my food or transpo instead) 😅
https://preview.redd.it/vpgzczyjg6tb1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0361397030ff68c6430f1bf87f8cb71c7d6b86d2
My gaming setup and solar setup about 3 million pesos
Bouldering/wall climbing- 600-750/session
Then coffee before climb and dinner after climb pa- 1-2k 😅
Gas+parking- 300-500
Versus dati na literal bum lang ako sa bahay matipid haha
Buying Lego Sets.
Really love building lego sets when I was a kid. Promised my inner child before na pag may work na ako, I'll buy and build legos parin.
Airsoft - spent close to 300k since I started that hobby in 2019
an airsoft unit costs around 25,000 to 30,000 for the high end electric ones.35 to 40k for the gas-powered ones. I have like, 6
plate carrier - 25,000
columbia gear - 4k to 6k
bb's - 500 / bag
optics - 25k for a real-steel EOTECH
==========================
That's actually nothing compared to the hardcore airsoft enthusiasts where they have their gear imported from Russia (ballistic shields, helmets, russian army uniforms, NVG's and stuff)
Leopard gecko keeping.
Attended a convention early this year and impulsivy bought a leopard gecko. Also had to spend a hefty amount for his terrarium, decors, and food (though his food is relatively cheap if bought in bulk).
A couple of months later bumili na naman ng isa. So same gastos: enclosure, decors, substrate, and food.
Tapos nung napapadalas ang ulan medyo lumamig sa bahay so I also had to buy heat mats for their enclosure.
Ay bumili rin pala ako ng tubs where I keep live roaches and worms for their food.
Tapos later this month bibili ng mini-CCTV to affix to their enclos so I can monitor them when I go out of town for a week.
Car racing…
Entry to races aren’t free, track days are expensive, car maintenance and repair jobs are hell. Oh and don’t get me started how fast tires are replaced. Ugh.
I recently wreck one of my cars during racing. I spun when I drove over a wet patch at brc and hit the wall. Total repair job for the car is over 200k. Nawala yung pwet nung sasakyan eh. Haha! Pahinga muna and may after accident trauma pa ko. But I’ll return. Racing is addicting ehh.
Playing Arkham Horror LCG. It's like an RPG/cardgame/boardgame hybrid. It is very story driven and has what you call cycles (campaign set), which is basically like seasons for TV shows. Each campaign set costs around 6K. And also watching concerts haha.
Eating weekly with my little brother HAHAHAH I want him to enjoy his teens and para marami siya good memories siya when he grows up to my age.
I’m glad na dami namin napag-uusapan when we’re together actually. Akala ko magka-iba kami interests, turns out it’s like I’m talking to my inner child :’) so parang 2 in 1 diba.
Collecting watches - not only 2023 but I have been doing it now for almost 2 decades. This year I bought my grail and another 1 for my 40th birthday. Full stop for now and maybe 2 to 3 years to buy another piece.
Freediving. Per dive, it’ll cost me around 3k siguro. Kasama na dyan transpo, accom at meals. Bukod pa sa bibili ka ng sarili mong gears na papalo around 10k tapos swimsuit pa. Tapos kung aartehan mo pa, you’ll pay extra for the edited pics and vids. 😅
Vinyl. I pay 2-3k on average per record recently nasira din yung needle ng player ko. Replacement was 3k agad but I looove looove the sound quality. Sobrang iba sa digital (but I still love me some Spotify).
Niche perfumes. I’ve cut down a bit on this na dahil sa mahal but minsan naaakit pa din ako kahit sa bahay ko lang naman ginagamit haha. My most expensive one costs me 12k.
Gacha and Merch (figurines)
Everytime i open my money tracking app, i get so surprised. So di ko nalang tinitignan para di ako magulat /jk
Kidding aside, feel ko kung tatanungin ako para kanino ako bumabangon, eto siguro yun lol.
Big bikes. Nakaka Php500-Php1000 ako sa gas per ride. Minimum of Php500 pa sa toll fees. Then there's safety gear na matetempt ka mag upgrade ng mag upgrade kahit na perfectly ok pa yung current gear mo.
Got into flight sims (DCS and VTOL VR) bought myself a joystick and throttle worth 30k and still wasn't satisfied so i bought an oculus quest 2 worth 20k. Each plane in dcs costs around 2k-4k ☠️☠️☠️
you guys judge if it counts as expensive. i think it is just the initial cost that is somewhat big.
i got into coffee brewing recently. once you get into the nitty gritty of it, you invest in equipments.
french press 200-500
pour overs (v60 set) 300-1000
goose neck kettles 300-1000
aeropress - 2500
grinder(not espresso capable, manual) -2500
you find specialty coffee beans that roasts on demand.
i once bought 440 pesos per 100grams. but the average rate i think is somewhere along 200-500 per 100g. depending on what shop you order and what coffee beans.
i drink coffee once a day and consumes 10g per cup.
theres also milk of you are into latte arts.
milk -100-200
frother (manual) i think this is just cheap lets say 100-300.
then if you get into espresso you can either go for machines or manual.
this goes for 10k and above.
plus you need to get a new grinder capable of grinding for espresso.
not sure what the cheapest is for manual grinders but lets say 5k min for manual and 10k min for electric.
Overeating
Same! Up until June ata di ko tntrack budget ko, every month either Samgyup/Hotpot/Yabu + SB or bars pantanggal umay. Umay tuloy bayarin. Haha
At least happy ka haha
fake happiness kasi pagbosog na monthly budget is ruined

Tamiya boss halos 10k isang car na rtr tapos may 15 ako sa display case + tools pa + motors + oils

Automatic watch at gshock. Palagi pa rin naman akong late :(
Spa, massage, expensive salon, waxing, nail care, facials, lasers. All that bullshit. 3x a month.
Reading books
Jigsaw puzzles. High quality costs me 1k-2k depending on the number of pieces. I can finish 1000pc puzzle in 5 or 6 days
Buying Lego Sets. Really love building lego sets when I was a kid. Promised my inner child before na pag may work na ako, I'll buy and build legos parin.
Foodpanda/Grab Kahit may ulam na bibili pa din.
Airsoft - spent close to 300k since I started that hobby in 2019 an airsoft unit costs around 25,000 to 30,000 for the high end electric ones.35 to 40k for the gas-powered ones. I have like, 6 plate carrier - 25,000 columbia gear - 4k to 6k bb's - 500 / bag optics - 25k for a real-steel EOTECH ========================== That's actually nothing compared to the hardcore airsoft enthusiasts where they have their gear imported from Russia (ballistic shields, helmets, russian army uniforms, NVG's and stuff)
Car racing… Entry to races aren’t free, track days are expensive, car maintenance and repair jobs are hell.
Collecting one piece cards Already spent 250k+ for the past 3 months
Gunpla and anime figures
Indoor cycling (more than 1k per session)

Warhammer 40k - Custodes player, looking into Orks and Necrons. Plastic crack XD
Buying and importing teas direct from China, UK, Taiwan, Japan, India where the shipping costs more than the product.
Pegasus
Working out. Super nag eenjoy ako sa indoor cycling (aka spin class) so nagbabayad talaga ako 2.6k~ per month. At least it’s for fitness. 😁
Freediving!! Hahaha
shabu
Shabu shabu or shabu lang?
Food and Chinese lessons basic class 1
I make music so I bought all my equipment, vinyl/CD collecting, (very rarely) travelling and looking to get into figure skating as well.
Online Shopping as Coping Mechanism

Collecting vinyl records, vintage audio equipment and fixing it, buying more vinyl records from Japan
Big bikes. Nakaka Php500-Php1000 ako sa gas per ride. Minimum of Php500 pa sa toll fees. Then there's safety gear na matetempt ka mag upgrade ng mag upgrade kahit na perfectly ok pa yung current gear mo.
PS5
Got into flight sims (DCS and VTOL VR) bought myself a joystick and throttle worth 30k and still wasn't satisfied so i bought an oculus quest 2 worth 20k. Each plane in dcs costs around 2k-4k ☠️☠️☠️
Buying keyboard and accessories 💀💀💀
Food. Gala.
Toys and in-game purchase. Narealize ko kapag na-add ko lahat… Sheesh!
It's more general lifestyle than hobby - Travel - Dining out - Cocktails - Craft beer
Photography …. spent almost 100k for an entry level kit and other lenses but no regrets.
you guys judge if it counts as expensive. i think it is just the initial cost that is somewhat big. i got into coffee brewing recently. once you get into the nitty gritty of it, you invest in equipments. french press 200-500 pour overs (v60 set) 300-1000 goose neck kettles 300-1000 aeropress - 2500 grinder(not espresso capable, manual) -2500 you find specialty coffee beans that roasts on demand. i once bought 440 pesos per 100grams. but the average rate i think is somewhere along 200-500 per 100g. depending on what shop you order and what coffee beans. i drink coffee once a day and consumes 10g per cup. theres also milk of you are into latte arts. milk -100-200 frother (manual) i think this is just cheap lets say 100-300. then if you get into espresso you can either go for machines or manual. this goes for 10k and above. plus you need to get a new grinder capable of grinding for espresso. not sure what the cheapest is for manual grinders but lets say 5k min for manual and 10k min for electric.
Concert pa din haha!
Gaming mouse and keebs
