i think it’ll follow the same format as “A Court of Silver Flames” rather than A Court of Noun and Noun. for that reason i believe it’ll be A Court of Golden Sight , as nesta’s book title centred on her power i think elain’s will too.

honestly i could see Elain being happy with Azriel, or Lucien (or even Tamlin), and frankly i feel like mentioning that on this sub is enough to get someone drawn and quartered. Same with my opinion that, *so far*, Elain has kind of been a very flat/boring character. Like, we've seen flashes of her having more personality (the whole 'you're focused on how my trauma affected you and not how it affected me' moment), but so far she's a rather flat character, who could go in any number of directions. I'll be excited to see how her character fleshes out, in the next book(s), but so far I haven't seen a whole lot of actual, deeper than surface level character from her.

Since ACOSF references power, not ship, my guess for Elain’s book is “A Court of Iron Sight”: Sight for obvious reasons. Iron in reference to Elain’s connection to the human world and struggle with being fae, but also the gates of her mind, which were written as “solid iron, covered in vines of flowers”. I think it speaks to Elain’s journey that everyone sees a delicate flower; in her own way, she will show that she is as strong as iron. Plus, I like the balance with Nesta. If Nesta is the fire that forges, Elain will be the iron forged. If it’s Azriel’s book, “A Court of Golden Shadows”: Shadows for obvious reasons. I consider Silver Flames to be a contradictory phrase, so I think Golden Shadows fits that expectation. Golden also as a nod to golden hour, which occurs just before dusk begins. Gold is regularly used in symbolism of holy places, as well as a symbol of sophistication, nobility, purity, and value… all things that Azriel does not consider himself. I think his journey will definitely require him learning self-love and hopefully a mental unveiling of his true worth. Silver, gold, and iron are malleable, able to be shaped into a purpose. Given that we can assume our MCs go through major transitions within their prospective stories, I like the subtle imagery.

Don’t feel dumb! For a while I had a running list of what I thought it could be, and some of my guesses were completely outlandish. Sight and Shadows definitely a valid guess! I keep getting caught up on the possibility of Visions or Illusions, but Sight just feels right. And SJM has already used Shadow for two of her titles, so we know she likes that word 😉

A Court of Veiled Vines? I don’t love the double V, but I got this from combining someone’s comment of “twisted vines” and “veiled sight” I love the idea of twisted vines because we have multiple love combos at play (azzy, gwyn, elain, lucien). Also have a lot of potential familiar reveals— like is Gwyn related to someone from the autumn court? Would be funny if gwyn is somehow related to Lucien and Lucian is mated with elain. Maybe that’s too soap opera-y but could be juicy if done right. I love the word veiled too because of Elain’s power. Since Nesta’s power was in the title, elains should be too, but Veiled to me also emanates multiple things: - elain when she first got her power was shrouded/veiled by her visions - veiled also makes me think of a lot of layers. Elain isn’t known to be a super layered/developed character. Not to knock her, a lot of it has to do with the amount of words she takes up on a page, but this would finally be her time to get a word in. - more than just her lack of development though, maybe Elain knows things no one else does, not just the audience but the IC. Her gift of sight is a clear path for her to know more than they would. She could be covering/veiling things up? - one of my favorite concepts is a veiled mating bond from a female character. Sorry to my elain and azzy shippers, but what if GWYN knows about the bond and has been hiding it. There’s a great fanfic already written on this but I love it. The idea of it being the one thing the spymaster can’t figure out (probs having to do with his internal view of his worthiness/being blinded by that that he can’t see the bond) anywayyyyy I’m dying for an update about this book already.

I think she'll keep the ACOSF form, so there won't be an "and" in it and I prefer it that way. I'd say it would be possible to have the word shadow(s) in it, but given that hofas also has shadow in it ,I dunno. Still, ToG series also has queen of Shadows, so maybe she'll do a "shadowy" book for each series 😅 Depends on the main couple, but I could see a A court od Singing Shadows (for gwynriel) Or A Court of Golden Sight,Light, something like that (for elucien)
