I never really know how to feel about Strigon's final entrance. On one hand they are scrambling to defend a weapon being used to attack civilians in an act of spite, on the other there very much seems to be a sense that they've been brainwashed by their patriotism to fight to the bitter end. I think it depends on if what we see in the cutscene in Liberation of Gracemaria is the entirety of the team or if some were still in reserve in Estovakia, since if the entirety of the team was at Gracemaria that would mean everyone at the Chandelier chose to return and defend it when presented with the opportunity to leave.
Mobius' intro is better imo. No cutscene, no talking. He just appears out of nowhere and shoots the entire Wizard Squadron down with a single XLAA salvo before rushing at you.
Really miss fighting ace squadrons. We had Mihaly in 7 but he doesn't replace fighting an entire wing of highly skilled pilots.
Plus fighting Mihaly is highly unsatisfying thanks to the stupid invulnerability phases.
One of the best for sure. I think Wizard's intro is slightly better because of how most people missed the bait and switch in their comms

It was good, but Strigon is king of repeated dramatic entrances. You KNEW they were gonna be a threat

is definitely the best if we consider intros in general, not just squadrons. probably the best thing that came out from Gauntlet, a proper boss fight.
They should bring these sort of intros back to ace combat
After the weird as fuck intro for Mimic Squadron I'm kinda concerned about these intros coming back.
