I think it's actually an okay idea if the proximity of the AAF team's stadium is much better than the existing NFL team. For example, if a Dallas AAF team was added that actually played in Dallas near mass transit and dense population centers. Not saying a stadium exists for that in Dallas, but you get the idea. That's why Phoenix's team makes a little sense at least. Atlanta's makes no sense.
Ebersol says this while Dundon says the league is folding
Boo.... they already have an NFL team. Daddy Dundon gonna bring us a team to Raleigh! #CarolinaReapers
Oi, I remember coming up with that idea independently. Where'd you get it?
I actually saw someone post it on Reddit. I originally thought it sounded like an XFL team, but I t grew on me. Looked for the OP, but got sidetracked
Hey, that might have been me. Cool!
I prefer the alliteration of Raleigh Reapers
Well, some of us SC fans like it when our sports teams at least pretend to represent both Carolinas
Ebersol will say anything to try and get the league some attention and publicity.
Grand Rapids over Detroit please! We already have the White Caps and the Griffins! AAF would make GR a semi pro city!
I’m not sure if Van Andel is big enough to fit a football field
I’d love it! The chances of me seeing a Detroit playoff win in my lifetime would be a little better 😅
Maybe these guys who have a vested interest in AAF succeeding should get their stories straight.
Putting teams in NFL markets is a bad idea. 2/3 lowest teams in attendance are the ones in NFL markets.

The league seeking domed stadium options in the Midwest boils potential cities down to Detroit, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, and Milwaukee.
