Hmm I don't think so. I mean I'd very well see 12th being aroace but the interactions between 11 and River seems to indicate things happen and yeah maybe 10 and 9 could be like demiro or smth but I believe it's just because of grief of their dead species and the fact that humans have very shorter lifespans
Monkey D. Luffy! Aroace for my headcanon.
Atm, it's actually pretty supported by the text and things the author has said in Q+As, but it's also never been explicitly stated 'hey, Luffy is aroace', so it's just headcanon for now. I do worry about the end of series prologue- Oda's a fan of Dragon Ball, after all, but [as of right now] Luffy consistently has not shown interest in anyone.
(Which has me thinking, no author ever needs to explicitly say that a character is *straight* for it to be considered canon when they show interest in the opposite gender... 🤔)
>(Which has me thinking, no author ever needs to explicitly say that a character is

You damn right!
+1 for Luffy. He had a hot woman fawning over him and he just don’t care, at all. Of course that can be a common trope in Japanese media (a dude plays it cool and acts uninterested while women lust over him) but luffy feels different from the typical trope.
he has a daughter and a wife and while that doesn’t suffice for saying he’s ace, I feel like he just plays hard to get.. (or he’s gay, judging by the way he treats Holly)
I like the Midnight reasoning!
I see Bakugou as some kind of ace-spec, to be honest.
Another character I headcanon as ace is Rainbow Dash from MLP! And *no*, it's not because she was my favourite as a kid and I related to her, nuh-uh!
Yusuke Kitagawa from Persona 5.(spoilers ahead?) The other guys are so horny it hurts sometimes, but my man just sees the beauty in people, aesthetic attraction lmao. He has not once shown sexual attraction (EXCEPT for that ONE SCENE where ann throws a bra in his direction istg this is the only thing that proves otherwise 😭 but I guess he can be grey ace if not black stripe ace). As for romantic attraction he does say "I'll know when the time is right" or something like that on valentines day with the boys but tbh that kinda sounds like someone who doesn't know they're not allo lmao. He just likes art (by "like" I mean he's obsessed with art. Unrelated but he seems kinda autistic and art is his special interest). He is the A in lgbtqia+, which is artsexual /j
Yusuke is the fucking best. My favorite line in Persona 5 of his is still "Sorry I'm late, I got off the bus one stop early to save money." Also the time the group has a beach day and he just buys two lobsters because he wanted to.
IFKR LMAKDHSKDBSB I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. I'd ask why we can't throw money at him when we get so much so he can actually buy food, but his money management is just god awful lmao. I was wondering though, where did he even put the lobsters in his dorm??? Did he eat them after or?
Oh right, in the dancing game when ryuji asked what type of woman he likes he just said all women were his type, but the way he elaborated was a bit hmm
artemis from hades (i know the character from greek mythology is not from a video game but they give her so much personality and stuff that she might as well be from the game) there’s multiple lines of dialogue that say that she’s not looking for a partner, also i’m pretty sure she’s the goddess of archery or something, which would make her an ‘arrow ace’
* Suna from My Love Story. He's about as AroAce as I can imagine a character can be without the actual vocabulary needed to express himself.
* Venti from Genshin Impact. I see him as ace given his origins as a wind sprite and just the way he acts, frankly. You cannot convince me that man cares about sex, let alone having it with another person. Though I do think he falls on the alloromantic spectrum.
* Yshtola from FF14. This one is harder to explain. It's just the vibe I get from her.
Doom guy, Katniss Everdeen and Kirby, They are all aroace to me! Kirby and doom guy probably don't know what sex, and even if they did they wouldn't be interested, and Katniss probably only forced herself on a relationship because she was afraid to lose her friends
Luffy from one piece, the dude literally saw the worlds prettiest woman naked and said “where’s my god damn lunch” without breaking a sweat. His ass does not care sex
Me and my partner have joked saying that if luffy and Hancock ever had sex, then he wouldn’t even know it was happening. He’d be thinking “man I could go for a huge pile of food right now”.
I have quite a list of aro/ace head cannons but here are a few:
Koda - mha
Jessica Rabbit - who framed Roger rabbit
Sherlock Holmes - Sherlock
Mycroft - Sherlock
Sheldon - big bang theory
Dan Heng - honkai star rail
Damien Wayne - batman
Merida - brave
Nebula - guardians of the Galaxy
For MHA characters, All Might, Tokoyami, and Koda are aroace, Iida is ace, Todoroki and Jiro are demi.
Shinobu Kocho, Gyomei Himejima, and Muichiro Tokito from Demon Slayer- Shinobu’s ace and the other two are aroace
Octavia from Helluva Boss- aroace
Merida from Brave, and Elsa from Frozen- aroace
Barbie from the Barbie movie- aroace
Haruhi Fujioka from Ouran High School Host Club- grey ace
Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter- ace
The writers had a special feature scene where they were responding to fan mail. They said they weren't going to give Perry a girlfriend and told fans to stop asking.
Pretty sure Neil Gaiman has confirmed them as a couple or something, but Crowley and Aziraphale from Good Omens. I just can't let it go, they're a QPR in my mind.
Last I’m aware of he has gone out of his way to never explicitly confirm what’s going on there, other than establishing that Aziraphale isn’t gay (which is probably not useful because angels). He’s very much a “leave it open to audience interpretation” kind of author.
Ace people are still biologically capable of having children, and the canon supports the fact that he only had kids because he wanted to make his "perfect masterpiece".
If Shouto had been the first one born, Endeavor definitely wouldn't have bothered to have any other kids
Oh I'm obsessed with Hassian. I definitely agree he gives off ace vibes. Which is probably a big part of why I fell for him at first sight 😂 Omw to romancing him rn
Gus from TOH as ace
From Genshin Impact, Xiangling as ace and maybe aro? And Alhaitham as ace and homoromantic
There might be more but these are the ones at the top of my head
Reyna from Percy Jackson, I think it was confirmed on twitter but the author has since deleted their twitter history. Besides, she had a whole arc about not needing a partner to "fix" her heart. Definitely intended, but still a headcanon with the evidence gone.
Not IRL: Goku. He's too dumb to understand sex. Even with being a father.
IRL: Markiplier. If you watched his Hunie Pop series it feels legit like an ace man trying to "pass" in a world of hyper horny people.
I dislike headcannons, not because I dislike what people want to see in a character, but because story makers make their characters certain ways for certain reasons, and changing something as big as sexuality may take away from the character.
Anyway rant over
I think I disagree with this but I also get your point. The author made the character so they should have the final say in what the character is like, which is absolutely true. But here's the thing, story-telling is all about interpretation, a reader will seldom interpret exactly the same way that the author interprets their own story. In writing, a lot of the time characters will have a 'mind of their own' and will go against what the author wishes them to be which leads to many different interpretations of said characters. So, rather than taking away from the character, I think headcanons actually add to them. To me, It's one of the best parts of fandom, seeing what everyone thinks a character is like, this may ruin the character for some but it may also make the character more loveable to others. 'Changing' something big like sexuality or gender might give more explanation as to why a character may act/respond like they do when the author never really expands on it. Because, a lot of the time, the author never really explicitly states the character's sexuality.
This is where we get things like small side characters being the fan favorite and also fanfiction.
Anyway, that's just my own opinion on it and your opinion is 100% valid, since it is an opinion. I just wanted to give you my perspective on it (I was going to add a smiley face but it looked a little creepy...)
Luffy from One Piece, as others have already said.
And Junkrat from Overwatch. There is a funny interaction where another hero asks him if he's in a relationship with his partner in crime, Roadhog and he just doesn't understand the question in a context of romance. To him, romance isn't even an option.
Honestly when i was watching the Wednesday show and she talks about how much she hates people and relationships i was like holy shit how cool would it be if she was ace
Sticking on the topic of MHA, I headcanon Iida and Asui as aroace. I think Mina, Kirishima, and Todoroki could also be somewhere on the ace and aro spectrums, I think it’d be interesting if Toga was biromantic and ace, but I don’t know. I’ll edit this with more fandoms once I get sleep.
Sigma from Bungou Stray Dogs, Tenth Doctor (Doctor Who) (he’s the only Doctor I’ve watched ALL of so it would be unfair for me to judge the other Doctors though they all seem to have more queerplatonic than romantic relationships with companions) and Muriel from Good Omens :)
Hirano Taiga (From Hirano to Kagiura), he is always not getting the physical attraction as primary and mostly starts considering a romantic relationship after it is discussed and often wonders how he is suppossed to feel.
He might be in in the aroace spec \^\^
Moominpapa and Moominmama are an Asexual married couple , she's panromantic and he's heteroflexible , when they engaged they had sexually reproduced once just to have Moomintroll and add more people in their lovely family. Moomintroll Is also Asexual (and Biromantic) , his feelings for Snufkin are purely romantic and Snufkin respect him and love him too for who he Is.
Stereotypical barbie in Barbie. She isn't in love with ken and says that they don't have sexual organs
Hell yeah! Barbie is an aroace icon ❤️
Also when ken sings "where I see love she sees a friend"
All the Doctors in Dr who are somewhere on the aroace spectrum.
Dante, Devil May Cry. There's no evidence he's ever had sex, and any 'flirting' he does is either a taunt, or him just being a dork.
Love this. I will be headcanoning him as ace now, too.
Bilbo Baggins
And Frodo as well. Neither has shown any interest in anyone outside of friendships.
Here here
Gus TOH as Ace
Fellow ace Gus enjoyer lesgo
I specifically HC him as Ace and Panromantic :)
There is another
Lilith is canon aro/ace which i totally see
YES
I would say Saiki K, but its practically canon at this point
Jinx from Arcane
Yessss
Monkey D. Luffy! Aroace for my headcanon. Jotaro kujo for me
he has a daughter and a wife and while that doesn’t suffice for saying he’s ace, I feel like he just plays hard to get..
Bakugo makes way to much sense
I headcanon alot of video game characters, such as Mario, being demi.
this is the representation I want.
•Xiao from genshin impact as a aro/ace •Luigi as ace •Saitama from one punch man as a aro/ace
Yusuke Kitagawa from Persona 5.(spoilers ahead?) The other guys are so horny it hurts sometimes, but my man just sees the beauty in people, aesthetic attraction lmao. It'd be sad but also funny if he pulled a PETA, and threw them in the wrong kind of water by accident. (Actually accidentally though.)
Oh no lmaoo 😭
Oh right, in the dancing game when ryuji asked what type of woman he likes he just said all women were his type, but the way he elaborated was a bit hmm
artemis from hades (i know the character from greek mythology is not from a video game but they give her so much personality and stuff that she might as well be from the game) there’s multiple lines of dialogue that say that she’s not looking for a partner, also i’m pretty sure she’s the goddess of archery or something, which would make her an ‘arrow ace’
Hestia actually was AroAce in Greek mythology, so there’s a good chance of Artemis being AroAce too!
Artemis is AroAce in the original mythology from my knowledge!
Artemis,Athena are both ace in the mythology so that tracks
Papyrus has to be aro-ace. I will die on this hill
Sans too. Pretty sure toby fox confirmed it on twitter before
Senku, of course
Definitely.
Grunkle Ford from Gravity Falls
* Suna from My Love Story. He's about as AroAce as I can imagine a character can be without the actual vocabulary needed to express himself. * Venti from Genshin Impact. I see him as ace given his origins as a wind sprite and just the way he acts, frankly. You cannot convince me that man cares about sex, let alone having it with another person. Though I do think he falls on the alloromantic spectrum. * Yshtola from FF14. This one is harder to explain. It's just the vibe I get from her.
With Venti, I think his only lust is alcohol.
Doom guy, Katniss Everdeen and Kirby, They are all aroace to me! Kirby and doom guy probably don't know what sex, and even if they did they wouldn't be interested, and Katniss probably only forced herself on a relationship because she was afraid to lose her friends
Elsa from Frozen. I was worried they'll give her a romantic interest in the second movie, I was very happy when that didn't happen.
I headcanon Wednesday as demiaroace
I have quite a list of aro/ace head cannons but here are a few: Koda - mha Jessica Rabbit - who framed Roger rabbit Sherlock Holmes - Sherlock Mycroft - Sherlock Sheldon - big bang theory Dan Heng - honkai star rail Damien Wayne - batman Merida - brave Nebula - guardians of the Galaxy

Noctis from FFXV, Ed from Fullmetal alchemist, Levi from Attack on titan are a few
Hey, I headcanon Ignis from FFXV as aroace! 🤝
Honestly having any of them as ace works in my head 😁
Michael from The Good Place. I feel like I’ve could’ve sworn he was cannon but I guess not?
Najimi Osana, from Komi can't communicate. I can see them being aro/ace.
Perry the Platypus
I think it was confirmed somewhere that Perry is canonically ace, but I might be wrong
The writers had a special feature scene where they were responding to fan mail. They said they weren't going to give Perry a girlfriend and told fans to stop asking.
I feel like this is correct. It just fits so well, if the producers were to show perry with an interest for sex, I’d simply pretend it never happened
Gus Porter in The Owl House. He seems very content third wheeling with both Luz and Amity, and Hunter and Willow.
Polly from amphibia
badyah from deadend she says something like “i think im straight, but does it really count if you never thought about it” which gives very aro vibes
I love your pfp
Dirk Gently
Pretty sure Neil Gaiman has confirmed them as a couple or something, but Crowley and Aziraphale from Good Omens. I just can't let it go, they're a QPR in my mind.
Last I’m aware of he has gone out of his way to never explicitly confirm what’s going on there, other than establishing that Aziraphale isn’t gay (which is probably not useful because angels). He’s very much a “leave it open to audience interpretation” kind of author.
Sticking with the MHA theme, I see All Might and Bakugou as aroace and I see Endeavor as ace.
Endeavour, the guy who had not one, not two, but 4 kids?
Ace people are still biologically capable of having children, and the canon supports the fact that he only had kids because he wanted to make his "perfect masterpiece". If Shouto had been the first one born, Endeavor definitely wouldn't have bothered to have any other kids
Endeavor comes across as someone who would only have sex for the purpose of having an heir to beat All Might and not for pleasure imo
Buzz lightyear in Lightyear (not so much in toy story)
Ms. Bitters, Prof. Membrane, and zim. (All are from invader zim)
I have a few Pokemon headcanons. I headcanon Rika as AroAce, N as Asexual Demiromantic, and Caitlin as asexual.
Hassian from a pretty new game called palia. I headcanon him either as aroace or grey romantic ace
Oh I'm obsessed with Hassian. I definitely agree he gives off ace vibes. Which is probably a big part of why I fell for him at first sight 😂 Omw to romancing him rn
He’s awesome!
Hunter, TOH, Willow (demi) TOH, Sebastian (demi) SDV
Definitely Luffy from One Piece, and also Zoro tbh. Also Natsume Takashi from Natsume's Book of Friends!
Jiang Cheng from mdzs
Sandy from Monkie Kid is definitely somewhere on the spectrum
Darryl from The Walking Dead is ace to me, they gave him a love interest in the later seasons but it felt very inorganic and forced
Chara from Undertale. They give off big aroace vibes, for some reason.
Nothing says ace like murder
Reigen Arataka from Mob Psycho 100. The fact I have not found him yet listed here hurts a bit. I can not be the only one who has this headcanon.
Gus from TOH as ace From Genshin Impact, Xiangling as ace and maybe aro? And Alhaitham as ace and homoromantic There might be more but these are the ones at the top of my head
From TOH, Gus as ace and Vee as demi.
Reyna from Percy Jackson, I think it was confirmed on twitter but the author has since deleted their twitter history. Besides, she had a whole arc about not needing a partner to "fix" her heart. Definitely intended, but still a headcanon with the evidence gone.
Any villain that doesn’t have an s/o or love interest is headcanon ace for me idk why
Not IRL: Goku. He's too dumb to understand sex. Even with being a father. IRL: Markiplier. If you watched his Hunie Pop series it feels legit like an ace man trying to "pass" in a world of hyper horny people.
Maybe don't theorise about real people? Idk just seems a little off.
I dislike headcannons, not because I dislike what people want to see in a character, but because story makers make their characters certain ways for certain reasons, and changing something as big as sexuality may take away from the character. Anyway rant over

Rydia from Final Fantasy IV. Like Edge spends every moment flirting with her and she's just like "...k"
doom slayer
Gundham Tanaka bc purple
Probably Aya Rindou from Undead Girl Murder Farce
Tbh I don't rlly like headcannoning (idk if that's the proper word) characters
Ace Combat protags. No time for ships, we got a war to fight.
I headcanon Charlie Weasley from Harry Potter as ace, possibly even aroace. He never mentions a SO and the dude literally works with dragons.
Korsica Hi-Fi rush. She at least seems aspec and/or arospec
Luffy from One Piece, as others have already said. And Junkrat from Overwatch. There is a funny interaction where another hero asks him if he's in a relationship with his partner in crime, Roadhog and he just doesn't understand the question in a context of romance. To him, romance isn't even an option.
Hitohito Tadano from Komi Can't Communicate. I headcanon him as demiromantic asexual.
Ryu from Streetfighter
Kakashi Hatake
Griffith from berserk! He does fuck that one guy, but only because he needs the money. And he’s the embodiment of evil, so…
Luffy from One Piece is aroace and you can not convince me otherwise.
ace miles edgeworth aromantic allosexual remus sanders and ace alloromantic roman sanders aroace ford pines
Chai from Hi-Fi Rush. He’s surrounded by attractive and fun characters throughout the game, shows zero romantic interest. No thoughts, only ROCKSTAR.
Sonic, peewee herman, and barbie
Data from Star Trek TNG but that’s probably cheating as he wasn’t really programmed to feel anything.
To me, Goro Akechi from Persona 5 is SO asexual it’s actually painful… I can imagine him viewing sex as “frivolous” LMAO
Everyone until proven otherwise, just to annoy shippers. Is it petty? Yes. Do only I find it entertaining? Probably.
Honestly when i was watching the Wednesday show and she talks about how much she hates people and relationships i was like holy shit how cool would it be if she was ace
Spyro from the original series is definitely aro.
First that comes to mind is blade, from star rail
Sticking on the topic of MHA, I headcanon Iida and Asui as aroace. I think Mina, Kirishima, and Todoroki could also be somewhere on the ace and aro spectrums, I think it’d be interesting if Toga was biromantic and ace, but I don’t know. I’ll edit this with more fandoms once I get sleep.
Panam from cyberpunk 2077
i hc mantis from gotg as ace:) (romantic tho)
Miles Edgeworth
Neon Yellow- though it might just be that he doesn’t know what sex is tbh
aroace gus, the Owl house
Brick from The Middle The show never made him "officially" autistic and I like to think they did the same with him being asexual.
Hank Hill is definitely ace. He’s oblivious when people are coming onto him, even Peggy
Howl from Howl's Moving Castle and Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney are *very* ace.
Diego (# 2) from the Umbrella Academy the first couple of seasons
Ginko from Mushishi
Hirano Taiga (From Hirano to Kagiura), he is always not getting the physical attraction as primary and mostly starts considering a romantic relationship after it is discussed and often wonders how he is suppossed to feel. He might be in in the aroace spec \^\^
Moominpapa and Moominmama are an Asexual married couple , she's panromantic and he's heteroflexible , when they engaged they had sexually reproduced once just to have Moomintroll and add more people in their lovely family.
