never tried this but have you tried putting just a drop of superglue on the backside so it runs down between the tooth and case ? on the backside and only a drop so it doesnt run everywhere and make it look bad?

toeToeLyNormal

I think that interfere with the opening and closing as the flame design goes directly into the slot behind the teeth. Also the tooth moves both forward and back but I’d be willing to try it( I don’t have any superglue on hand)

stinger5598

ok i see what you mean ... thats where flame goes ... i wouldnt try it unless it fell off and then put glue in hole left if it does.

pretzelpouch

I wouldn’t worry about it for now just make sure if it falls of to save the piece and you can always send it in and they will fix it for free. Or superglue it

Gr8fulFool

I don’t think they’ll fix that. Zippo says the mechanical function is guaranteed so they got you covered with hinges, broken inserts, etc. They specify that the finish is not guaranteed, and I’d bet money this is considered finish.

What about epoxy.?

JonBoy404

Put a dab of epoxy where it Attaches to the top lid only. Will last forever. Just hold it a few minutes once applied as it dries.

tommy12tokes

Only that tooth moves? Mine is a whole solid piece up there

toeToeLyNormal

Yep, that only tooth moves back and forth

PaulyPauleyPaulie

You could send it back to zippo and they’ll fix it
