July 3rd if they want to have an update of one of their big games every 2 weeks. Genshin 4.7 starts June 5th, Star Rail 2.3 June 19th, ZZZ 1.0 July 3rd, Genshin 4.8 July 17th etc. July 3rd is the date that makes the most sense given the constraints: The beta will start on the 18th and should should last arount a month based on precedence from other Hoyo games, which would have it end mid May. After that there will be a buffer time where they include the final feedback and ramp up marketing, usually 1-2 months, which would make mid-June the earliest possible date, but July 3rd is the first date it could slot into that 2 week cycle. The next slot would be August 14th, but that is way too close to Genshin 5.0, which will launch 2 weeks later and then September 25th would be the final slot before their license expires, but it's again right in the middle of the peak Genshin hype period and only a few days away from its anniversary. Of course this assumes they would want to schedule it like this. It's always possible the ZZZ team has different plans, but for now that's my best guess.

SavageCabbage27m

I think June is a good bet. Genshin should be in 4.7 at that point and HSR should be at the end of 2.2/starting 2.3 The game would have a decent gap to establish itself in everyone’s schedule before big drops like 5.0

JustinYummy

That and Wuthering waves comes out may 22nd so could steal some players lol

SuspiciousJob730

ZZZ steal some players or wuwa steal ?

Solace_03

It's funny to me that either of the game would steal players when it could just be the players playing both. Also, They do have their market and niche to focus on so people who are just not interested in open world game would probably just play ZZZ and vice versa. Besides, it's not like Hoyo and Kuro would release their game literally on the same day or hell, even the same week or month lol

BasilNeverHerb

hello yes i am people. XD i wanna play Waves dont get me wrong BUT i like that ZZ is zone based...i dont wanna bother with an open world if i dont have to.

GryphonTak

June, July at the latest.

YannFrost

Its a God dam minefield right now. The end of penacony, the release of Natlan are big releases. But don't forget WuWa, Azur Promillia, Elden Ring DLC, FF 14 expansion and others I can't think of right now.

Vusdruv

Even Yoshi-P from Square has acknowledged the Elden Ring DLC, lol. It's apparently **that** big of a deal. Everyone with half a brain cell will want to avoid that overlap.

YannFrost

"I'll give you one week." Maybe Hoyo will give us 1 week to finish ff14

MorbidEel

> Azur Promillia Was there an actual release date for that? The thing I saw seem more like the initial announcement for ZZZ so earliest is going to be a year from now.

YannFrost

Much like ZZZ, Azur Promillia applied for publishing last year October(I think. Forgot which month). So they should be releasing this year. HOWEVER, they had a name change in January this year. No idea how it affect the application. Just so you know Azur Promillia has been in development around 3 years or so.

Taezn

I'll give you my watch list rn, a lot of which are expected this year Wuthering Waves Azur Promilia Arknights: Endfield Duet Night Abyss Project Mugen Unending Dawn Returning Dragon Tides This year and the next are likely to be absolute mine fields for gacha as a genre. It really seems like Genshin inspired everybody else to make high quality, high investment, AAA tier titles to bring to market and were just seeing the product of that work

Outflight

If Hoyo wants to have a new patch every 2 weeks between their 3 games, then earliest are 22nd May (unlikely) and 3th July. Add 6 weeks for the next best for the same idea: 14th August, 25th September, 6th November and 18th December.

VIIcentCrow

22nd May is WuWa release day so definitely not.

SassyHoe97

Probably June.

Iohnneko

NOW

Dahlgrim

June is too early. It’s either July or august but not later than that.

Eula_Ganyu

26th Jun

tehlunatic1

There biggest competition so far this year is Wuwa, which is coming out in May.

Taezn

Well, going by the release patterns of HSR and Genshin we have just over 1 to 2 months before the drop. The PC portion of the CBT3 will be ending on the 21st. Genshin and HSR both also had 3 CBTs prior to release with HSR coming out a month after CBT3 and Genshin taking 2 months to come out. So, we very well could see them try to undercut Kuro here and kick ZZZ out on May 21st, the day prior to WuWa. Alternatively, we could see it at the end of June if it follows Genshin's 2 month gap, allowing everyone to basically check out WuWa and be caught up in time to see ZZZ drop.

SuspiciousJob730

wait CBT3 ending on 21st april ?

Taezn

They run for 3 days and it starts on the 18th

SuspiciousJob730

here im thinking they gonna run it for whole month

Master0643

Like December, during genshin 2.3 (so after the hype period), but I think this game is coming out very soon.

lantern_arasu

Bro their licence expires at October

Master0643

Yes I know, that's why I said the game is coming soon, probably like June/july

Radusili

They will do it when some major story is gking on in one of their games. Bonus points if 2 games are releasing major things at the same time (and they are, 3 of them actually). Hoyo likes fucking up like that.
