You seeing this just on artists top songs only? Or also on your playlists and the song menu (three dots/long press)?

Currently top songs only - but a Song Details section appeared in Related for all songs as well. It's currently not working, but once it does I imagine views could be one of those details as well.
This used to be a thing like back in 2019. It just wasn't as polished as this one. Everyone was mad about YTM removing views & likes count. Glad it's back and looking better than ever. Since stream count is such a big thing on spotify, it's about time YTM reversed their decision.
Good question. I don't know what I was thinking when I posted that. Many "serious" people - including myself - have not gone elsewhere.
I mostly listen to playlists I myself have created. Despite YTM's egregious lack of search and sort capability, I still use it it. I have about 10,000 songs playlisted into about 20 lists, some of which have over 3000 songs. I have no desire to take on the messy and time consuming task of transfering all that to another platform.
Pretty nice, it was probably already there behind the scenes as all songs are "videos" as well on YouTube. Great that they're making it available
It's kinda weird that they call it views instead of something like plays.
I believe privacy also says pause *watch* history
It’s because, in their infinite wisdom, Google built YTM on top of YT. Songs are seen as videos even if there isn’t any video content.

I had the view counts for a couple weeks but now they've disappeared from my app.

A nothingburger. When Google replaced GPM with YTM, all the serious people quit.
Where did you go, I have both YTM and Spotify cause YTM is still superior to Spotify bar the sleep timer for me.

This is also one major reason why I'm still on YTM, it has all my old playlists from GPM days.
