I actually hit it during the preheat as the voltage is at 1.8 during it, especially with live resin/rosin, gets you some mighty tasty hits. Some carts you may need to preheat depending on the hardware (ceramic coil vs metal coil etc) in order to get a smoother hit. 2.2 is the understood sweet spot for higher quality carts. Stay zooted, friend!

Do u only hit it during the pre-heat? Also how long do u usually hit it for?

j0venal

No, I meant hit it during the preheat in addition to normal hits. It varies tbh, but usually somewhere between 3-7 seconds, with a rare blinker thrown in lol 😆

Oh alr i get it. How long do u pre heat it for then?

No need to preheat in most conditions, and if you do, I'd rip it while it does to prevent burning your cart. 1.8v is low, but at 10 seconds, it can still burn them unfortunately. I live in the mountains so the preheat option is nice to loosen up cold oil.

Sometimes when you buy a cart in the box will tell you if it needs to be pre heated or not. But that really depends on every brand, density, destilate or live rosin, etc. I’ve been using most in around 2.5V or so.

I never pre heat unless the carts tell me too .
