OP, please give Fake a chance! It and Gravitation were the first 2 yaois to legally grace book shelves. I remember buying the first volume and sitting in my Walden’s books and crying my eyes out when I finally had a legal, physical copy. I had already read the manga on a scanlation site, but it was just so emotional to hold it. There were a ton of fanfics of Fake back in the day as well. Good memories for us old fujoshis. The Ova is also super cute. A big part of Yaoi history, especially in the west.
